So recently I decided to pick up this game. I wasn't sure what I really expected of it, except that I knew I loved Lord of the Rings and that was one of the main reasons for picking it up. I wanted a new MMORPG besides WoW because I really didn't feel like playing that anymore.

So I went and bought it and was more surprised by it then I expected it to be. First of all the graphics rock, and I'm not even using superior graphics with Directx10 or whatever it is because my computer isn't up to those standards. I was also worried about the amount of quests, because WoW had so many quests and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to level well enough, that I would just get stuck at a certain level and have to grind mobs.

Well that isn't the case actually. Even though LotRO only has about 1000 quests including the recent expansion "Mines of Moria" it is still easy enough to do the quests you want and need and gain levels.

So who else here plays LotRO and why did you decide to start playing LotRO?
Do you like rping your character, since it is more streamlined and has a huge lore base?
And of course, what is your character and level?

I neever heard of an online version of the game, actually o.o;
