In my preteens I listened to Paula Abdul, now I can't believe I liked it. Sure a couple songs were ok, but when I was that age I guess I found it catchy.

In my early teenage years, I've listened to Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, and Hanson. Ok, Tiffany and Debbie gibson were alright. But Hanson? I just cringe at the thought now.

In mid teenage years, Backstreet boys, Nsync, Bonnie Raitt, Brittany spears, and Christina Aguilara. I can understand why I liked the boy bands and brittany spears. At the time a lot of my friends were into them, too. So of course I got into them. Some of the songs from the backstreet boys weren't half bad when I listen to them again. Brittany spears I wouldn't touch with a ten foot poll now.
It's too kiddish to me now. I don't think I care too much now about the rest.

In late teenage years, Creed, Aerosmith, and Nickelback. The rock bands will always be awesome in my book. No matter how old I get. :P

Now I'm into Matchbox 20, Rob Thomas, various movie soundtracks, Green day, The Offspring. They're what I'm into right now, of course I'd say something positive about them. =3

I don't know if there's already a thread about this. If there is, I'm sorry.

~Music you were into as a preteen, mid-teen, and late teen?

I listened to alot of Prozzac, daft punk, venga boys, bouncy technoish underbeats and lyrics that made virtually no sense, totally my younger years
I miss those days

I didn't even like music as a tween, but as an early teen I got into it, here is my teen life in terms of music.

Just turned 13; My chemical romance, sum 41, the offspring, mostly anything my brother listens to.
13-14: Marylin Manson. End of Story.
14-15: Jack off Jill isn't bad. Marylin Manson is still god though.
15-17: Jack off Jill > Marylin Manson. Scarling is also pretty good, and I'm just hearing about Nightwish.
17-18: Marylin Manson is old and tired. jack off Jill is 'meh' but Nightwish is EVERYTHING.
18-19: Broadway musicals pwn. Chicago, Rent, Wicked, all pure love.
Now nearing 20; anything Pagan, and broadway is love, most country and rock is good, and some pop isn't half bad if I ignore the artists who perform them.

When I was a kid I worshiped Robyn and Aqua.
When I was 10 I discovered a band called The Ark, who I was crazy about for a long time and then after that I got into indie pop for a while before I turned completely Sleaze rock at about age 14, which only stuck for a while though. After that I got into mostly psychadelica and kraut and now it's basically anything xD

I was all about Spice girls and Westlife when i was in my earliest teens.

As i was started high school i started getting into what my friends listened to. Avril Lavigne, Blink 182, New found glory, and one i found myself which started an obsession. Evanescence. (who lead me to many female vocalist bands, like within temptation, lacuna coil, sirenia. ect)

But then i moved schools and got introduced to Metallica, Iron Maiden, and other heavy bands.

My late teens spiraled with hundreds of bands, i also found last.fm, which helped alot. Obsessions included melo-death, Nu-metal, folk-metal, and power metal. One band, Sonata Arctica, remained the only band i would listene to for a full year xD

Recently, ive gone backwards abit. Maybe i miss the old days so im listening to that again. But i still like my melodeath and folk metal. I've also found a nice little obsession in the Doom Metal. Like Swallow the sun :)

Spice Girls, Backstreet boys, NSync, Robyn, Aqua, Greenday, The Offspring, Bush, and I think that was about it. I didn't really start getting into music until late in high school. Now I'm like obsessed and listen to pretty much anything. Yes, I still do love Backstreet boys and Spice girls as corny as their music is. XD

:ninja: I listened to a lot of Hilary Duff in those days. Nsync was in there too. I can't for the life of me understand why I liked Hilary Duff so much, at this point though. To this day I am an adoring fan of Justin Timberlake, however.

I was also into Backstreet Boys, and Elvis had a special place in my heart. Elvis still does. If I'm in a bad mood, all I need is a little Elvis to cheer me up. ^_^

I still love Justin Timberlake as well. I mean, what's there not to like?! I'm not a huge pop music fan but I still can't help but to turn his music up when I hear it!

Soul Decision, Spice Girls, *NSYNC, The Doors, Powerman 5000, Ill Nino, Sevendust, KoRn

I still listen to a lot of the same stuff, namely The Doors, Powerman 5000, Ill Nino, and Sevendust. Though I do admit that I've gotten more into metal as I've gotten older.

I listened to Kansas a lot. I kinda still do sometimes. What, it's Kansas... what's not to like? Other things I still like to listen to that I did in my teens is are lot of 90s Grunge bands (Alice in Chains and Soundgarden deserve to still be around, I swear), Funkadelic, Iron Maiden, and Queen/other classic rock. Also older Sheryl Crow and Modest Mouse, but those are more of guilty pleasures anymore. Oh and uh.. the OSTs to various retro video games. ^^;

I was also a huge fan of Black Metal back then. And Dragonforce. I eventually found both not pertaining to my taste and threw them out. Although I'm a metalhead in a lot of ways still, my tastes have kind of "evolved," so to speak.

I don't think a lot of people are aware of Justin's song "Losing My Way," but that is my absolute favorite of his despite my fondness of his dirtier songs. It makes me feel okay about life even when it sucks.

Mostly David Bowie. I listened to some Eels and REM. Then at the end of high school/ start of college I really found my calling in Metal, lots of glam and hair metal to start me into it. but now just about anything except scream metal or grindcore fits my taste.

My tastes haven't changed a bit. As a kid, or rather, ever since I discovered him (1999), I listened to Eminem. More than ten years later and I still love him!

As for other bands and artists, I don't know their names. I generally just listened to songs ranging from the '60s to the '90s, those old hit songs, you know? I listened to Sting a lot, and still do. Same for Shania Twain, Craig David and Train. The only thing that changed so far is that now I also listen to Breaking Benjamin.

Oh, and David Fonseca. That's a relatively new taste. (:
