Does anyone here listen to the good ol' tunes of 8-bit generated music anymore?
I remember I would stick my face next to my t.v speaker when I was younger just to adore those old Megaman tunes.
Anyone do that anymore, or has music become so mind numbingly vivid, that you'd rather sit a decent distance away from your computer monitors before you ear gets sliced in the face o.<;

In Short : Who here is still fans of the 8-bit generation, and even 8 bit arranges?

Does listening to Chiptune count? o_O I don't listen to the actual music from the old school games, but rather to artists who sample the noises.

Also, Soma, I love your username. :3

I'll still listen to 8-bit songs. And why not? They've been around longer compared to recent video game soundtracks.
They deserve the elderly treatment. D;

I'll jump on anything with an 8-bit remix. <33

You should look up the band 8-Bit Suicide. Antron 2600, the one-man band, uses 8-bit music from his favorite classic games in his music. Although it leans to the Ghettotech / Electro side of the genre, if you're into that. ;D

I did that with my GameBoy games; I'd just shove my ear into the speaker and listen.

Also, I have the entire Soundtrack to Earthbound Zero/Mother 1 on my MP3 player if that counts.

I don't really have a whole lot of 8-bit music, because I didn't play a whole lot of really old games.
But chiptune music is pretty cool, I think >_> Does that even count?

Crystal Castles do some really good 8-bit arrangements. Black Flag is one of their more well known songs, but I can only listen to it for so long before I have to change it. Far too repetitive for my tastes.

Funny 'cause I can't stand Alice Practice, or xxcuzxme, or any of the songs where Alice screams.

Everything else though = A++
