i was just wondering. today i was thinking back to when i was in high school. it was fun times. i had so much fun, but then again, i didn't. i was in the track team, and i had all kinds of friends.
discuss:
what you think of high school.
high school in general.
what classes you took.
what your favorite classes were.
what you were 'labeled' as.
what crowd you hung around with.
etc, etc, etc...

I think Highschool was fun, especially how I found out who I was. You still have the kids who think they're so "hot", but you barely ever think about them. It was really laid back at my highschool. Most of the classes I took were ones I needed and had an interest in. I only took two AP classes though in Highschool, it was a lot of work. I was also in band for two years but I had to quit because of an issue for requirements.
I really wasn't labeled as anything, maybe a cute nerd. And crowd-wise, I was basically friends with everybody. I had some preppy friends, gothic, hip-hop,athlete. It was mostly because I didn't want to limit myself to one group. So I mostly wandered, which was a good thing because I could hang out with any group I wanted to since I were their friends. I liked Highschool.

I'm a sophmore this year, and high school pretty much sucks. Last year was absolutly terrible. All my friends ended up hating each other and a lot of them started having sex, causing more friend problems and family problems. Some of them got into drugs, which I'm sure we all know what happens then. The teachers were pretty cool, but it almost isn't worth all the other crap...I'm tempted to get homeschooled.
The classes I'm taking were all Honors, but I had to switch out because I was about to kill every single kid in them. They're the kids who are stupider than a box of wet hair and probably paid to get into the class to look good.
I am having alot fo fun in my Art History class though...the teacher is absolutly amazing and is easy to talk to. So I guess that's one good thing...

When I think back to high school, the first thing I want to do is kick myself in the backside. I took everything way too seriously and didn't have near enough fun. I wish I could go back in time, corner High School me and shake her until her teeth rattle. I would make sure she gave up drugs (I never even liked them; yeah, I don't get it either) and drinking. I'd point out which boys were keepers that would still be there 15-20 years later, and which ones weren't worth the mascara it took to bat my lashes at.
High School life could be so much fun, if kids didn't try to grow up too fast. Don't worry about marriage and babies yet; just enjoy what you do have. And Don't Even complain about how many responsibilities you have. Once you graduate, they seem to multiply tenfold every year. And above all, high schoolers should enjoy their metabolism; it's the last time in their life they could get away with eating fast food and school lunches! Something about the graduation ceremony must tank your metabolism ;D

High school in my opinion was basically a joke, well... the one I went to that is. But there were also plenty of memorable good times. The teachers were cool, but the curriculum wasn't really challenging enough for me. I took one AP class, but sitting in class all period and doing nothing but programming in Computer Science was kind of a bore. I'm glad that class is over with haha... My favorite class has got to be English and Biotechnology. My label was usually "that tall girl". There may have been cliques and stuff at school, but most people got along. I hung out with four different groups depending on the time of the day. I'm glad I don't have to wake up at six every morning anymore. That's one thing I won't miss for sure!

Well I'm going to be a junior this year and I'm kinda enjoying High School.
I mean sure it has it's ups and downs but that's all part of the experience. I'm still friends with about a hand full of people that I went to elementary school with.
Everyone else kinda went their separate ways; some became crack heads, some became nerds, others became preps and jocks. They all made friends with different people which is what I did, and it kinda makes High School fun for me.
In a way...

oi. I just graduated high school and I'm so ready to leave. It was awsome and all, but high school kids are just so immature and crazy. All the drama I have had to deal with being in a team sport just made life miserable some times! But I'm going to miss my school and friends!! to think that I won't be walking down those halls again!! High school is definatly something you miss later in life.

High School for me was okay. I cant explain it but i just graduated so let me break each year for ya! :XD
FIRST yr - i think this one is the worst. High school used to be the scariest shit for me. My ex-best friend and I were the only ones that went to the same high school. my other friends from elementary whom i never speak to anymore, went to some different school. Basically this year, was just getting to know your classmates, your teachers, and getting first dip of high school. :) I met some new friends but 4 years later only 3 friends are the ones ive kept. :XD
SECOND yr - i cant really remember anything about this year but i remember getting my ipod and cellphone stolen at school. i guess it was a bitter sweet year. :XD my best friend and i from elementary drifted a part and i have become closer to some of my new friends. i met new people but they come and go. :)
THIRD yr - this is the junior year. you pretty much know the drill. you are familiar with teachers, and you know your friends more and you decide who to hang out with and no one would tell you otherwise. :XD i have become closer to my old and new teachers. i know who my REAL friends are AND no one can tell you what to do. you just know what to expect this year.
FOURTH yr - the final year. this is the BEST and THE MOST drama filled of my entire high school life. :XD this was also the most stressful time since you gotta know which university to go to and what career choice you want to reach and bla bla bla. this year i was completely stressed. sure it was fun because i was involved with so much stuff. there were more trips, i just know lots of people, i am no longer shy nor do i care what others think. ALL i was thinking this year was "its not like i will EVER see you again, so give a damn! :D" i love this year. it was also the year, where drama hit my life for the first time in high school.
it was just so messed up. :XD hook-ups and parties and misunderstanding happened. i lost and gained friends. it was just yeah.... FUN and adventurous. 8D
I FRIGGIN LOVE HIGH SCHOOL. <3 id do it again... hmm maybe once more. XD

Hmm now a days I think it might be hard to be in it. Things have changed alot since I was in HS. When I went to HS, I loved it, of course I loved learning, but then I started to feel like a retard and no body seemed to like me especially teachers. I was a outcast in school so I kinda stayed to myself and was friends with the 'bad' crowd, which in my school was anyone who wasn't a whore 'cheerleader', donkey 'jock' or the emo 'what they would be called today' crowd. I ended up dropping out and it was a good choice. I would never of survived there pregnant with twins if I stayed. I got picked on alot because I was outspoken and I would say what I wanted to to a teachers face no matter what anyone thought. I also went to a bad school so my issues with high school stem from that. By the way NEVER and I mean NEVER go to Watertown High School in Watertown, Wi.... you will never get a chance to learn anything at all. I swear I learned more from my husband who taught me things he learned. But thats cause he went to a school who actually took the time to teach their students .... Who would ever think those actually exsisted... >.> lol

Almost worth all the pain of assignments and stress xD
Lol, okay, very worth it. I met a lot of good friends in high school, and learnt all kinds of things, too. Life would be very boring without those memories ><;

Highschool is pretty annoying.
I'm going to be a Junior this year and it's going to be stressful.
I hate the school I go to and I'm wishing I could be a Senior and just leave.
Highschool is overrated I'm ready to leave and go live life.
Too many ignorant people, I hate people mostly.
Yes, I'm a typical "dark person" lol.
Highschool did change me so far haha (:

High school is terrible. End of story. Okay, so not end of story. I just read the rest of the post. Well, it wasn't great, that's for sure. I think the only thing I really like is my friends and maybe my classes, like English, French, History, and Creative Writing, which were all of my favorites. But I sure do feel lonelier in high school than I did in middle school. It's more of a personal thing, sorry. So high school, yeah, depending on experience, is either good, bad, or neither. For me, it sucked.

There's something I never want to go through again. I was "that weird kid" and people kept writing fake love letters to me and thinking I'd fall for them. >>
College has been so much better. I can at least continue believing I have a life without glaringly obvious opposing evidence.

There was a lot of drama, but it was fun. I was a freak/nerd/geek. Our official label was Seminar kids though. We were too smart for honors and too cool for the rest of the school, so we had our own hall and stuff. I miss it to some extent, but I wish I had loosened up a bit. Dated better people, done more drugs, gotten into more trouble.
In reality though, I wouldn't change a thing.

I gave up being in Seminar after being in it my whole life. It was filled with a bunch of uptight pricks, and their humour's just too "quirky" for me. Meaning they're pretentious fags llolololol.
There were no actual cliques at school. Pretty much everyone was a prep, and the mexican//blacks who were bussed in kept to their own part of the school. The goths and punks were very few, and I just kept to the same small group of ugly, unwanted bitches from freshman year. By senior year, our "group" had grown to about 15 people, including my sister. But of those 15 I can honestly say I only liked 5. :/
My classmates were inconsiderate country club-type assholes, my teachers hated my guts and showed it, girls would fight me in the lunch line out of boredom, I was in the bus for 2 hours a day while everyone else got to go out and have fun, I had no guy friends to speak of, and never had a boyfriend. =u= And lord, was my attitude the worst. :'D
And yet, I *just* graduated a couple of months ago. I'm already missing it. Mostly because I want a do-over. I've let the silly shoujo manga get to me, and the silly ideas about what high school is *supposed* to be like. I want that. :(
