Introduction
1. WOOT!!!! Ok, this is my first time making my own role-play on this site, so go easy on me!!! *Bows begging for mercy* the storyline is a fantasy adventure with perhaps some romance mixed in!! (Actually, it’s something I was supposed to write in real life, but never got around to it) I figure that I won’t be able to predict what happens if I post it on a roleplay, which makes things more fun!! There are also some sub storylines mixed in to make the story seem more interesting….. so there’ll be trust, betrayal, murder, and more!!! This story is in a medieval time period, so keep that in mind, but it’s a classic good vs. evil story with fantasy and adventure and more mixed in!! i've been asked how i thought of this story... and the honest to god truth was i had a dream about it once! (long ago now) it was a very vivid dream too, though the characters and story were quite different! Hmmm….. I guess that’s all for this part….. HAVE FUN!!!

2. RULES
Stick With The Story
Try and stay on topic throughout the story! We want it to stay interesting, and if people go off topic, then it’ll bring down the story!!
No God Actors
Everyone in this story has their strengths, but they also have WEAKNESSES!! You have to take the fall every once in a while; I’m not saying you can’t pull of some awesome trick at least once in the story (because every character has the right to shine once!!), but accept your weaknesses, and don’t be afraid to take the fall!! You’d be surprised how much more interesting the story can get!!
Some Degree of Literacy
I ask that you show a little knowledge of literacy. I’m not saying that if you don’t start your sentences with a capital letter or write names properly that I’m gonna kick you out…. but for goodness sake don’t use computer language!! If you want to say “sorry” then write it as such and not “sry”!! If you’re not good at spelling, that’s o.k, but at least make an effort so that others can at least tell what you were trying to say.
Cussing/ Swearing
This is allowed, but only to a small degree (that means don’t go all gangster and swear every sentence!!) Try to keep it as minimal as possible!!
Don’t Ask To Join And Never Add
If you want to be a part of this story, then pm me and ask first! ^.^ (The character profile requirements are mentioned later) once you’ve gotten permission from me, then you can post!!
Stick With The Timeline!!
This story is in medieval times!! Don’t go putting things like cell phones or other forms of technology that you know shouldn’t exist into the story!!
HAVE FUN
The most important rule!!!

3. Story
Long ago in a world parallel to our own… When humans first came into existence…. A dark shadow billowed over the land. It was a shadow created by an evil and greedy heart…. Whether that heart belonged to a human or a demon is unknown, but it is said in legend that he was somewhere in between. A human with incredible power of darkness that comes from his twisted demonic soul…. This man, who called himself Shiranai, waged a terrible war upon the world.
Demons and all other terrible creatures of lore roamed the land, harsh battles were fought everywhere, and the bodies of the dead scattered about the ground became a common sight. At the top of all the turmoil, in complete control of the chaos, was Shiranai. Nobody could challenge his absolute power, he ruled the bloodstained land…
Then one day a single demon, a fox demon whose name would forever go down in history, brought together five other heroes to challenge the dark lord. Gin Kiba, a wolf demon whose silver claws glowed red on the battlefield. Kuroi Ashi, a rabbit demon whose speed and dancing lance could never be defeated. Akidzuki, a cat demon whose sharp fangs and bloody claws were never seen twice by the same eye. Ranmaru, a dragon demon whose powerful battle-ax caused hell to all as his flame burned enemies to the bone. And lastly, Mitsuhide, a human woman who was strong enough to marry a fox demon. Her blade danced on the battlefield, cutting down all who opposed her.
These five heroes were all led by one single fox demon, whose name was kitsune. His swordsmanship far surpassed anyone else in the land, and his strong spirit brought him many loyal companions. Kitsune led this small group of heroes against Shiranai, in a battle that shook the very foundations of this world. The battle was fought valiantly against all sorts of demons and creatures of darkness, and finally, the group came face to face with the necromancer himself.
He was pierced through the heart by kitsune’s blade, and with his dying breath he said this: “foolish creatures, you may destroy my body, but my essence will not die. One day I will return, whether it be in one hundred years, or a thousand, I will one day return. And when I do, I will take pleasure in killing all of your descendants!” and with those words he died laughing.
When Shiranai died, all of the terrible creatures that roamed the land disappeared, and the people knew that the great hero and his followers had saved them all. The celebration that ensued lasted for many months. Even the gods were grateful to kitsune, and rewarded him by shaping the land into that of a two-tailed fox. During the next years of peace, kitsune traveled the land that he had named Aviaella, helping to build and name each village, city, and landmark. When Aviaella was divided into five kingdoms, he named them after each of his followers.
Gin Kiba, the land of silver snow that reminded kitsune of the wolf demon’s silver claws. Kuroi Ashi, the land of plains that a rabbit demon could run across at full speed. Akidzuki, the land whose elaborate and graceful cities could only be compared to that of a cat. Ranmaru the land of rugged mountains and harsh conditions that only a dragon could enjoy. And Mitsuhide, the land whose beautiful terrain and peaceful demeanor reminded kitsune of his beloved wife. However, when all the places had been named, and the land was truly at peace, the six heroes mysteriously disappeared…
the people of Aviaella believed the heroes had been sent by the gods themselves to rid the land of evil, and even after the heroes were gone, their story was told over and over. But as stories travel through the generations, they change, as did the legend of kitsune. As time wore on, the story became just that, a story, and disappeared with the sands of time.
It has been thousands of years since Shiranai was defeated, and now once again shadows billow over the land. There aren’t creatures of darkness roaming about yet, but there is tension growing between the kingdoms of Aviaella. If Aviaella is fighting amongst itself, who will stand up this time to defeat the darkness?

Race: Human
History: Koharu was born to the king and queen of Akidzuki, their only child and heir to the throne. Although her parents tried to groom her in the ways of royalty, she constantly resisted their efforts, instead taking an interest in martial arts, secretly learning how to wield a bo staff, as well as other useful disciplinary and combat techniques. Finally, at the age of 18, she decided to run away from home and become a traveling warrior, constantly seeking to hone her skills, instead of being trapped in the life of royalty for the rest of her days.
Weaponry: A simple bo staff, made of strong, durable wood. Not the fanciest thing in the world, but it gets the job done.
Elements: Light and earth.
Skills: Fairly proficient in hand-to-hand combat; also fairly knowledgeable about such things as politics, history, and economy due to her education.
Personality: Koharu isn't rebellious as much as she is independent. She's a real outdoors type and would much rather be hiking around in the woods than be cooped up in a palace. She is rather reserved--not shy, per se, but she prefers to let her actions speak more often than her words. Despite her "loner" attitude, she is kindhearted and compassionate, and will always help others in need. She loves animals and the sea, but crowded areas make her uncomfortable, and she dislikes feeling restrained or trapped in any way. Due to her sheltered lifestyle, she is rather naive.

One day, as you lay your hand on the sword to pray, it begins glowing. The temple priests tell you to pull out the sword, and when you do, it just feels right in your hands. 5. Kingdoms
Gin Kiba
The northeastern most kingdom in Aviaella, its economy mainly comes from fishing, and its seafood restaurants are known to be the best! This country has the best navy force, but is full of superstitious sea folk.
Akidzuki
Is the kingdom in the center of Aviaella, and it is the largest and most powerful. The king is well known and well respected among all the citizens of Aviaella, and tourism of the extravagant cities as well as people attending the kingdom’s famous universities bring in most of this kingdom’s money.
Kuroi Ashi
The southeastern most kingdom of Aviaella, it’s full of flat plains so one can see for miles and miles. It’s economy is based on the wooden sculptures that can only be made from the petrified wood that’s only found in this country! There are also many well known performers from this country that many come to see.
Ranmaru
The southwestern most country of Aviaella. Since it is covered in grass plains, it has many wild animals that can only be found there, and it gets many tourists who want to see them. Though Ranmaru’s economy is mainly on the clothing it makes from the animal fur, which is very popular.
Mitsuhide
The northernmost kingdom of Aviaella. Because there are mountains and other rough terrains that make it difficult to reach Mitsuhide, not much is known about it, and most citizens of Aviaella don’t even know it exists. The country seems to support itself and doesn’t appear to have an economy. It is said that because it has been isolated from the world, it has developed many powerful warriors.

Ryu mountain: a mountain that is said to be at the end if one makes it across the atsui desert. It is the tallest mountain of Aviaella, and is said to be the last place where dragons exist in Aviaella.
Higashi Sea: the sea that divides eastern Aviaella from the Kyofu isle, it doesn’t have any notable qualities except that it’s where Gin Kiba trains its navy.
Minami Sea: the sea that is south of Aviaella, it’s waters are well known for being warm and its beaches have become very popular swimming spots!
Nishi Ocean: the ocean that is to the west of Aviaella, it is said that it never ends. Though that could be because no who has left to sail across it has come back.

Important: The profile that you create will be the basis for everything that happens to your character in the rp- please think carefully about what you write and how detailed it is- the more the better. I'm not asking for a twenty paged profile, but I am asking for something decent- something that you can give others a decent idea of your character. I feel the need to emphasize this because it seems that people always send me half baked profiles expecting to get accepted- you need to put thought into your character if you want to go anywhere in the rp!

Character name: Faide Seraphraim
Age: she looks 19, but her age is unknown because she’ll never tell
Gender: Female
Race: goddess/ demon
History: Faide has very little memory of her biological parents, and it’s more out of instinct that she’s always known what she was, for she always knew she was different even before her powers began to develop. On a small peninsula in an area of Mitsuhide, she was raised by normal people in a small orphanage among other normal children. These people became the only people who could accept her because they had known her all along, and because they didn’t reject her powers, they became the only family Faide ever knew. Through the years they were able to laugh and smile, to enjoy the smaller things in life, and when one of the orphans were adopted by new parents, it was with great sorrow that they left, and with broken hearts that the others watched. Yet Faide was never adopted, for there was always something about her that unnerved people, and so she had to watch as everyone she cared about left. When she was the only child still in the orphanage, life was sad and uneventful, but at the very least she still had her matron mother and father, and it was that thought that still allowed her to keep a smile on her face. Yet Faide’s story was not to end there, and eventually bandits with the evil powers of days long past reached her home, and against their unexplainable power, the people didn’t stand a chance. Faide could do nothing but watch as her matron mother and father were killed, and although she will forever be ashamed of it- she fled. She knew she didn’t have a chance of escaping, for she had always been frail and sickly, and far too weak to fight against the power they had at their command, yet still she ran, and just as they cornered her, readying their weapons to finish her off- her powers took over. She remembers feeling extremely angry in that last moment, at herself for running, and at them for killing her loved ones- but then her mind went blank. When she finally came to, she was surrounded by the dead bodies of not only her pursuers, but also everyone else in the village. Yet before the horror and confusion of her actions could truly take form, a seizure took over and Faide lost consciousness. When she came to again, she found herself in an unfamiliar place, lying in a bed with sunlight pouring through a nearby window. At that moment a man walked into the room, introducing himself as Hikari Teru, descendant of the great kitsune from legend. Over time, as he nursed Faide back to health, he realized not only her sickness, but her powers as well- yet the strange man didn’t seem to mind, and once Faide was well again, the two began traveling together. Hikari taught her how to wield a sword, among other weapons during their travels, and with his wisdom and powerful magic, helped her keep her powers in check. Despite each day being a fight for survival in the chaotic country, and having no home or family, Faide was happy, for Hikari was the first person to ever accept her without having known her from the beginning. Years went by, and what started off as friendship developed into romance. Deeply in love with each other, their work on the battlefield became a work of art, as if their movements were of one mind. Yet like seemingly every time before, happiness would not last, for one day a battle more catastrophic than the rest broke out among the powerful warriors of Mitsuhide, all of whom were being controlled by the dark influences that remained of Shiranai’s powers. Brothers fought to the death, women and children lost their lives in the most cruel and unusual of ways, powerful magic lit up the sky left and right, while meteors crushed all who were unfortunate below. The entire world shook with the weight of destruction, but it seemed that only Faide and Hikari had the sanity left to stop the fighting. Knowing that it was the only way, Hikari begged Faide to use her powers, promising to use his own magic to make certain she lived- at first she was reluctant, but she eventually agreed. Creating a dimension in which the negative influence of zaguro no longer affected people’s judgment, and using all her strength to make it stretch out to everyone, the people her country came to, and laid down their arms. Yet as the dimension faded away, faide found that Hikari was gone- he hadn’t been able to match her powers, and in keeping his promise to keep her alive, he had given his own life. Pained and horrified by Hikari’s death, Faide left her home country, vowing never to return so as to never relive the horrible memories. She blamed herself for his death, and knowing that he had died in trying to protect people, she now travels the world doing the same. However, she truly believes that she cannot repent for what she has done, and even if she could, mere repentance would not be enough.
Weaponry: she can wield many weapons, but out of loyalty uses the sword that once belonged to Hikari. It has no special powers other than being a talisman to increase the wielder’s powers- something that doesn’t always work out for Faide because of her unstable body.
Elements: none
Skills: she has no elements, but she does have power over time and space. However, this power is limited by the amount of power her body can take before it decomposes, and therefore, although she can distort time and space, she cannot do such on the same level as a god or a demon. Even in goddess or demon form, she is indeed powerful, but she can never be as powerful as a true goddess because she is part demon, and she can never be as powerful as a true demon because she is part goddess. Because her very essence of being is in constant limbo, she is also very sickly- seeming to suffer from seizures or have trouble breathing at times, and her powerful yet spontaneous powers only make matters worse, for they put further strain on her already unstable body. Because she wishes to prolong her life as much as possible to complete her business in the universe, she has forbidden herself from using certain aspects of time knowing the strain they’d put on her body- she doesn’t traverse time nor does she send anyone else through time, and she also refuses to stop time. Her control over space is what allows her to create her own dimension. In her dimension, she can completely change the laws of nature, negate or maximize gravity, take away the need to breathe, heighten the senses, even things like forbid the uttering of a certain word. However, the dimension is almost always small, usually only affecting those very close to her (she could make it bigger, but doesn’t out of value of her own life). Also, she cannot make it so that only certain things affect certain people, so for example, if she increases her speed in her dimension, she increases the speed of all who enter it- thus it can be seemingly useless at times. On top of all this, she usually cannot uphold the dimension for very long without collapsing because of her weak body… so in the end her power is a double edged sword.
Personality: in human form, she is usually sarcastic, rude, and downright obnoxious at times- she normally doesn't show her true personality until she knows people thought....normally.... In goddess form she becomes mysterious- a fountain of endless knowledge as if from an eternity of life- but her heart becomes pure and she cannot take a life. In demon form her personality seems to take a flip, she becomes arrogant, rude, and coldhearted to those she could very well have been kind to just moments ago, but her heart turns to stone and she is a cold blooded killer.
Appearance:
human:
Demon:
Goddess:
Crush/ love: N/A
Other: she knows all there is to know about the legend of kitsune and the previous heroes of aviaella. Also, in her demon form, she calls herself Black Rose.

Character name: Innes Rausten {Ranmaru}
Age: unknown….
Gender: male
Race: Dragon demon
History: Innes was born an incredibly long time ago, back when the land of Aviaella was nothing more than a mass of warring territories. The land was full of battles created by a newborn race, and the darker creatures of the world were a common sight. It was a grand time to be a demon, for back then, it was the humans who were considered inferior and treated as scum; the demons were the lords, the leaders- the gods. This is the world that Innes was born into, yet even being born a demon, life for him was not to be easy. While he might have been born a dragon- one of the most majestic and perhaps regal of all demons, even such a high class creature could not be forgiven for committing the ultimate taboo- associating with humans and defying his own kind. By the standards that eventually went down into history, Innes was considered a legend and a hero, but never once did he ask for such, and at some points he even came to regret his decision. While the world he was born into was not a pleasant one, he never had any troubles surviving, for he lacked one trait that all demons at the time seemed to have- a lust for power. Without such ambitions, the dragon demon was usually left to his own affairs. Yet the rest of the world was chaos; always fighting for physical and political power- the difference between the ways of the past and that of the humans today is simply that demons never bothered with negotiation, but skipped right to the assaults and assassinations. There was no rhyme or reason behind such, for the process was the same every time: over time through the endless battles, one demon would rise above the rest to rein as leader; of course even then there was still chaos, but during these times of leadership it was more controlled, more calm in a way, because of the fear that the ‘demon king’- the most powerful of his kind- instilled in his people. Because of this fear, it would take a long while even with the chaos for anyone to gather the courage to stand against their king, and longer still for him to fall. Then the entire process would only repeat. It seemed everlasting, but little did anyone know that from the endless confusion and chaos there rose a different kind of being- not quite human, but neither demon- rather, he was made of the darkness that permeated the world. With such mysterious and incredible power, Shiranai easily took the place of king, and while for a time many opposed him, none could overwhelm him. Thus the necromancer reined longer than any demon before had, and when people realized opposing their new ruler was futile, chaos gave way to something far worse- unity. Shiranai began to gain followers, both human and demon, most likely searching for power and wealth. Yet the dark king had neither sympathy nor care for his people, and once they had pledged their loyalties to him, he used his dark magic to strip away their will other than the loyalty they had just promised to him. They did receive the powers they had initially desired, for they were physically, mentally, and magically potent, but such gifts had come at a grave price. As the necromancer’s intentions for the world became unclear, the amount of death only continued to grow- soon, there would be no world to rule. Innes saw this, and knew his fate should nothing change- thus, when the demon of legend Kitsune appeared in the village that Innes just happened to be in at the time, the dragon demon chose to join him while everyone else cowered away. He vowed to follow the fox to whatever end their endeavors brought them, but there was one condition: while they were on this ‘heroic quest’, he would be called Ranmaru- that way, should they succeed and go down in history, no one would know it was truly him, and should they fail, no one would even know he had existed, and thus he wouldn’t have to endure the shame. Kitsune accepted, knowing he’d need the dragon’s power, especially considering the lack of followers he already had- even after traveling all the land he only had five comrades- the odds were stacked against them. Still, as small a team as they were, all of them were close, and their teamwork would one day be that of…. well, legend. Yet while they grew closer and closer to the final battle with Shiranai each day, Innes didn’t believe that a straight on fight was the way to win- if such were possible, then why hadn’t the hordes of demons who had attacked the necromancer before escaped victorious? Even with their battle prowess, Innes didn’t believe the group would win, or even if they did, he believed that the dark energy that had created Shiranai would not diminish, and over time would only continue to grow until the necromancer was reborn more powerful than before. The dragon proposed a different approach, using a powerful medallion given to him by one of the demon gods himself. While the object had been a gift, the medallion, and the stone embedded in it were powerful; if used properly it could seal away even someone as powerful as Shiranai, and once sealed away, it was only a matter of destroying the medallion- mind you, destroying something created by the gods wouldn’t be an easy task, but at the very least the necromancer would be sealed away and they’d have the time to figure it out. Even if Innes’ plan was more strategical, Kitsune was a demon through and though, thus while having more morals than most of his brethren, the fox would settle for nothing less than stabbing his blade through the necromancer’s heart, so the plan that would have ended everything so long ago was rejected. However, in the end, the group did manage to defeat Shiranai, but upon hearing the dark king’s last words, Innes knew his previous assumption had been correct, and in a last effort, attempted to seal away the king. Yet while sealing someone in a weakened state does not require the same amount of magic, there are measures that have to be met- the dragon had been so desperate that he had attempted the magic alone, and it had failed. Instead it backfired upon Innes, and sealed him inside his own medallion, putting his soul into a deep slumber. His comrades tried everything to return their friend to normal, but when all failed, they decided to leave the medallion on the battlefield in which they had fought Shiranai as a marker of Ranmaru’s bravery and sacrifice. So time passed, thousands of years, until, as he said he would, the necromancer was reborn into the world more powerful than ever before. While he did many things upon his return, one of Shiranai’s first tasks was to recover the medallion and erase the memories of the helpless soul trapped inside it; then he released Innes, and bound the dragon demon by powerful magic to obey him- after all, what better way to get revenge on his killer than to enslave him?
Weaponry: Innes wields a bow which is made of charmed wood that allows him to shoot arrows made of purely condensed magical energy. Yet the bow is a large one, and despite his size he can pull it back easily, but he isn’t afraid to whack people with his weapon should close range combat arouse, nor is he to be underestimated in hand to hand combat. Transformed, he uses his amazing breath abilities, powerful destructive spells, and of course, his teeth and claws.
Elements: fire, darkness, wind, light
Skills: Innes has incredible control over his energy, thus he rarely grows fatigued from overusing it. He can use his magic to increase his speed in both his forms, and in his dragon form he can absorb energy from the world around him through his wings. Mostly his spells are typical of his elemental abilities, but there are many things about him you will soon learn….
Personality: Innes is a strategic person on the battlefield, but otherwise his personality is light, carefree, and amazingly curious. Many who have met him compare him to a puppy, as he is restless and absolutely adorable! He always seems to have a smile, or a reassuring statement to say. He’s got determination, childish honesty, and big dreams- remembering his past!
Appearance:
Dragon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyDqk559szc (obviously the dragon in the video)
Crush/ love: no one
Other: Innes used to wield an axe, but after he lost his memories, he trained in archery to serve shiranai. He also wears the medallion around his neck

His mother kept him out of public because he had a few minor differences from normal people, like the claws and the fangs. His father was an unusually powerful demon for his age, it usually took centuries for a demon to become as powerful as him, but it only took him a matter of years to get the power he had. 9. Side Notes
HOLIDAYS AND FUN ^_^
Education and work is very important in Aviaella, and all people work hard believing it will bring good fortune in there future. The only time that they actually party is during national holidays like Nukoh Socorhukaed. The holiday Nukoh Socorhukaed is a holiday that celebrates water. All Aviaelians know the importance of water. They know that it is essential to life and that it has been on the Earth for millions of years, recycled over and over. Nukoh Socorhukaed starts on July 28, and lasts for 14 days, because 14 is considered a lucky number in Aviaella. The holiday is celebrated all over the country, by every single person, young and old. People dye water different colors and splash it all over each other, hot springs are free, and water is the only beverage that is drank during the holiday. There is music and dance all across the country, not ballroom dancing either, even the emperor dances just for fun. In Akidzuki, there is a show put on around noon on the final day of the celebration, when the sun is in the right position. Water is thrown through the air, turning a rainbow of colors in the sun, then dancers wearing clothes of rainbow colors dance in the puddle on the ground. With every spin and step, water is thrown into the air, once again illuminated by the sun, creating a rainbow haze that people come from all over too see. If it rains on any day during the celebration, then people will go outside and celebrate, no matter how hard it’s raining. Lots of people end up with colds later, but during Nukoh Socorhukaed, people live for the moment, and don’t think until later. In Ranmaru, people jump into the river when it rains! The people who live near lake me in Gin Kiba also have an event that people come from all over to participate in. On the ninth night of Nukoh Socorhukaed, five warriors from the city of Atsui sail out in small boats, one warrior on each of the five lakes. While this is happening, there is a display of fireworks that rains down from Ryu Mountain. The fireworks display is always magnificent, and different every year, but once the display is over, one thing happens that is always the same. People dive into the lakes searching for the bags of gold left by the warriors. Nukoh Socorhukaed is the most important holiday of the year in Aviaella.
TRANSPORTATION AND COMMUNICATION O.o
Peasants usually use horses, to carry supplies and such, however higher classes usually prefer to travel on foot. Of course horses are still used by upper class if there is a need for speed, but this is very rare, because aviaelians know their country and all it’s shortcuts like the back of their hand. Most of those shortcuts can’t be used if one is on a horse due to all the mountains, so if a person is fit enough they can reach their destination at the same time as the person on a horse. Also, horses are too easy to track and be followed, and Aviaelians are masters at preventing themselves from being tracked if they’re on foot. Sometimes they climb up a tree and travel across the forest canopy so that they don’t leave any footprints on the ground. If they cant climb a tree, then they will walk around an area until it is full of so many footprints that it is impossible to track. There are even occasions when an Aviaelian will walk backwards in their footsteps before climbing into a tree to give the illusion that they disappeared! Usually peasants deliver materials, even if it’s to the emperor, if it’s information, it’s delivered by traveling performers. Information performers are always in pairs of two, a dancer and a instrument player, if there is important information that can only be relayed to the emperor and not for the ears of peasants, then the performers will play for the emperor. The exact notes that the instrument player plays along with the exact steps of the dancer will relay the message to the king; all upper class people have mastery of the language of song and dance. Plus, no one is going to attack a traveling performer, and even if they did, the performers are well trained to defend themselves in battle.

The city of Sunahana was a crowded and lively place- people dashed about with teetering piles of purchased goods from house to house while others crowded around the open street shops; many were getting in line for some bread at the bakery, and many more were tending the exotic flowers that decorated the streets. Sunahana certainly had the features of a city, but it was not well known for it's food or it's people- the capital city of Ranmaru was known for it's flowers; in fact, many call it 'the city of flowers' before they call it by it's proper name. Sunahana was far too colorful a place to be overlooked- some flowers couldn't be found anywhere else in the world- and the city's citizens took pride in that. Yet Faide hadn't ventured to the prosperous city to gaze at the plantlife, or to buy things in the shops- she was on her way to see the king...Whether he wanted to see her or not...

Kagashi was in one of Sunahunas' best taverns downing ale like never before. He never got drunk do to the demon blood inside of him. He was planning on giving up the search for his father, he'd been searching since he was thirteen, he's twenty-two now. He sat up at the bar so he didn't have to wait very long for his ale, and anyone who bothered him ended up with a black eye or broken bones.

As the castle loomed nearer and nearer overhead, Faide began to realize more and more the task she'd set herself to; getting into the castle would be hard enough- if they didn't let her in with the paperwork and false pretenses she'd fabricated, things would get ugly. She sighed- taking out half Ranmaru's military just to speak with a man whom she'd most likely fail to talk sense into wasn't appealing. Her eyes traveled to the large clock tower to the left of her destination- it was visible from anywhere in the town, and was as much a tourist attraction as the flowers, but the time was only just past noon. "The king doesn't accept visitors until after one." Faide murmured to herself, sidetracking her journey towards a nearby tavern, "Maybe a drink or two will make the whole thing seem possible..." Her voice trailed off as she entered. She took no notice to the turning heads as she walked over to the counter, sat down, and ordered some ale; yet she did notice the strange man sitting not too far from her at the counter- he was downing cup after cup of some undoubtedly strong stuff, but his eyes still held the clarity of someone perfectly sober. "Well, he's obviously not human." Faide thought, raising an eyebrow, "A demon maybe...?" If the man was a demon, he wasn't a full one- Faide would be able to sense if he was, but that still left her curious. "What the heck happened to you?" She finally asked, an air of sarcasm in her voice, "Did the wife dump ya or are ya just drowning yourself for amusement?"

The door to the tavern opened and a hooded figure walked in, weaving through the busy crowd and taking a seat at the counter next to Faide and Kagashi. Although the figure's slight frame revealed it as a female, her face was mostly hidden in the shadowed depths of her hood. She leaned her bo staff carefully against the counter, keeping one foot curled around it in case she would have to use it, and held up her hand, gesturing to the barkeep. "Water, if you please," she asked, in an unexpectedly youthful voice. A glass of water was slid to her, and she nursed it slowly, deep in thought.
Why had she been so polite? No normal traveler or mercenary was that needlessly genteel. Her upbringing had gotten the best of her again, and she mentally chided herself for it. She would have to be far more careful in the future.

Faide took note of the newcomer- it was hard not to as the girl sat next to her- but it was the girl's formal attitude that she really took notice of- it suggested she was of high upbringing of some sort, and that perturbed Faide as she was planning to break into a castle if need be later.... Her eyes remained on the man she'd been talking to despite the preceding. "It's nothing to me." She replied nonchalantly, "Quite frankly if it was a girl that dumped you I'd laugh at the state it's put you in." Taking another swig of her drink, Faide continued in the same distant- yet chiding tone- "Though since you're not getting drunk despite all the drinking I'd imagine you're not going through the whole 'trying to forget the girl' thing- which means you've got nothing better to do than make a show of downing ale....Which I find more humorous than if a girl had dumped you."
(^^;;;; faide's a rather rude and sarcastic person- warning you... it's just who she is)

Kagashi finished his ale and ordered another, he looked back towards the shelves of alcohol behind the counter,"Do you want something or do you want to end up like those guys?" Kagashi pointed to a group of people who were cowering in the corner of the tavern.

Faide tilted her head, taking the question into serious consideration. "Well." She finally said thoughtfully, "I'm debating on whether you're a demon or a human at the moment- you have the aura of both." She glanced at the group of cowering drunks, before taking another sip of her drink. "So.... if you were to attack me I'm certain I could sort the answer out, of course, that's not why I was picking on you- that was simply honesty over the haplessness of your situation, which I must say amuses me greatly.... buuuuuut, if you were to simply tell me what you are, that would work too...." but it would also take away the fun.... "Then again" Faide sighed, "I'm not sure if I want to draw attention to myself just before I see the king...."

Despite herself, Faide smiled- she might have been half goddess, but it was clear that her demonic side was dominant as she replied, "I never said I'd tell you anything in return, you know." in a rather mischievous tone. She downed the rest of her drink, but didn't order another as she allowed her eyes to roam about the place. She knew she should be leaving soon if she hoped to get a chance to see the king- otherwise it'd be crowded and the guards would check her false writs and documents with more scrutiny- which would only make things more troubling. Finally Faide sighed, and rose to her feet. "You clearly have nothing better to do than drink all day." She said, looking at the man, "If you want to know what I've got planned, tag along and see if I care." With that said, she headed towards the door without looking back.

"Demon, human, or in-between, men just never seem to listen do they?" Faide glanced back at the man following her with a smirk, "I said I wouldn't tell you anything- you're following at your own risk!" Of course, even without her saying, it soon became obvious that they were headed for the royal castle, for it steadily loomed nearer and nearer as they closed in on it; by the time they reached the gates, the sun had been thoroughly blocked out by the wide bricks and elaborate spires- Faide didn't like the gaudiness of it all, but she made no comment as she approached the guards nearby. "Faide Seraphraim, here to see the king on important business from Akidzuki." She lied, handing the men the documents and writs; the guards took them readily enough, and looked them over carefully. For a moment Faide feared she'd been caught, but then they returned the papers and nodded- before glaring at Kagashi as if asking, 'who's he?'- to which Faide answered, "He's with me, bozos, and since I'm the one with the important papers from the king of Akidzuki-" Since the fake documents had passed unnoticed, she might as well milk the lie for all it was worth "-it doesn't matter whether this man is my servant or my lover- so can quit the prying eyes and open the gates!" The guards- clearly unnerved- gulped and scampered to obey her request, and pushed the iron gates open with a loud creak.

Demon...? the girl thought to herself with a shudder. Demons had been relegated to the musty pages of history books...hadn't they? Still, the way the man had swigged down all that alcohol like it was water spoke volumes about his clearly inhuman fortitude. As she listened to the conversation between him and the quite articulate girl next to him, she began to worry for the girl--consorting with demons could never be a good thing. When they started for the castle, she decided to follow, against her usual (and, admittedly, better) judgment of staying away from administrative areas.
"W-wait!" she called out to Faide, running towards the girl and the "demon" as the iron gates to the castle opened. All too late, she realized that she had absolutely no excuse for getting into the castle, for she certainly could not reveal her true identity, and she was caught with no time to fabricate information--something she despised doing anyway, and at any rate she didn't have any documentation to back it up. That was what life on the road did to you, she thought.

Faide turned upon hearing another voice call out to her, only to find the girl who'd sat next to her at the bar. "Wow." She slapped her forehead with dismay, "I'd probably enjoy all this popularity if I actually were drunk..." Her voice trailed off with a sigh, she wasn't exactly a people person, but if she did end up having to fight during her visit to the king, two people on her side was better than nothing.... right? "She's with me too." Faide said after a moment, gesturing towards the girl while looking at the guards; she told herself that she was surrounding herself with people out of need, not of desire- that made it easier to brush off the act of kindness. Faide didn't like being kind, it always made her feel vulnerable.
