Nope. Never shot anyone though I am tempted to shoot some bad guys.

Anyway, what's your reason for wanting to shoot someone?

...only if paintball or laser tag counts. I'll leave shooting to the people who know what they're doing. If I whipped out a gun, I'd only be putting my own life in danger. I'm much deadlier just using my hands. :ninja:

OK, I find the idea of wanting to shot someone for the sake of shooting someone scarey. If you enjoy hurting people, I'd say you have a mental problem that needs to be checked out.

I'd like to get a weapon eventually. I've had issues with people stalking me, been threatened with assault more then once and been the victim of some other more minor crimes. I live alone, I like living alone and having a weapon next to my bed would be good for my safety.
I do think it's a good idea to get some training with a weapon or it won't be nearly as useful and possibly even useless as self defense.
Now,my desire to actually hurt other people is low. My main goal is I want to defend myself, so I would like a stun gun( the type police use sometimes) or some really small hunting gun that is hopefully unlikely to seriously injure or kill another person.
If someone breaks into my place ( most likely scenario I can see where I'd need self defense) I want to injure them, not kill them.
I don't think people who break into homes for a robbery should be shot dead as sometimes happens.
Robbery is about stuff and people shouldn't have to die over stuff.

I just wanna say this because I know this is something you're very likely to be told by anyone teaching you how to use a gun: when you're turning to a gun for safety, you have to be able to shoot to kill. Because if you're in a situation where you really need a gun to protect yourself, chances are your attacker WILL be able to shoot to kill, and he'll be able to overpower you and take the gun from you. -->Reason I'm not using guns anytime soon. I'm better off using whatever martial arts skills I can draw on in the heat of the moment than trying to frantically reach for a gun that is more than likely going to do me more harm than good. So...>.> Just be ready to be told that if you do start looking for lessons.

only if you count laser tag...

I really hate guns. Like Happystarr said, you have to be prepared to shoot to kill, and I don't think I could. I've done a little bit of martial arts, and I'm a pretty fast runner (even in 4 inch high heels), so I think I'm good. If someone did try to break into my house, I have three dogs that hate strangers, and me and my brother have a sword collection in the basement. (Thats where my bedroom is).

If push comes to shove, I carry an exacto-knife in my purse, and my purse is heavy enough to be used as a weapon. I usually wear high heels, so the heel makes a pretty good weapon.

lol I wanna carry silly string. It still hurts when it gets in your eyes, and it catches people off guard that I carry it around in the first place. I hate purses, though. Some psycho girl tried to steal mine last time I had one, so I use a small backpack instead (btw, psycho girl got the shit scared out of her...:ninja:) I definitely wanna learn how to use a sword, but in the meantime I've got some pretty mean kicks and a bostaff. I'm better off whacking invaders with that stick than pulling a gun. XD

Personally, though I definitely enjoy having Tae Kwon Do, I still wanna look into other things. Especially Krav Maga, since it's designed for people who need to fend off someone bigger than them and that overpowers them. >.>

Krav Maga is something I always wanted to learn. I have basic training in Wushu, which is enough for me atm. I like it, it's simple enough techniques (at least at the point I'm learning), that it's easy to remember in bad situations, but it's effective enough to save my ass.

Definitely agree. I took a basic Tai Chi class...and that alone actually just helped my mindset to improve my sparring. XD I definitely want to learn more, and some Kung Fu...but that's less out of practicality and more because I personally just love martial arts. Krav Maga and some other street styles I'd learn for practicality's sake.

I don't like fighting but I will if someone pushes me. I don't think I would ever want to shoot someone. I don't like guns. I can defend myself without a weapon pretty well and the chances of someone coming to me with a gun and actually shooting to kill me are slim enough that I feel I really do not need a gun to defend myself. I've taken on people a lot bigger than me and came out fine outside a few scratches and bruises so I really see no reason for weapons.
