Has anyone ever heard of this book? It's a murder mystery type crime novel that's solved by a cat. The interesting thing about it is that the story itself isn't written to be fictional. The animals don't talk but to each other, the humans can't understand them at all, since they don't know that the animals are trying to solve the murder then the humans often foil the plans of their Holmes like animals.
It's been years since I've read the book and I don't think I even have it anymore, but for it to have been years since I've read it, I still remember a lot about it.
