Goodluck with choosing! when I first started I went for the smaller items first. Well, not entirely true as the first quest I completed was for my bee slippers. But I really liked them at the time.
But on gold lines, bee slippers are quite settled right now, but some of those event items you'll find it hard to get. *Ramble ramble*
