i didn't see this thread anywhere else soo... :)

okay; i'm mega curious as to what kind of pets all of you guys have? what kinds have you had in the past? what are their personalities like? what's your favorite? what kind of pet would you -like- to have? what kind of animal do you think would make the worst kind of pet?

personally i have two huskies that are just a little over a year old. :) duke and daphne. they're gorgeous. daphne likes to bite at hands [only bony hands apparently] and every time she does, duke comes to my rescue and puts her whole head in his mouth. they're both lounging currently; they love being outside and they both love kisses.

i also have four ferrets named chomper, chewy, taffy, and my chunky baby girl gracie. they're excellent little buggers. :)

i've got a pet turantula named boots [she's a pink toed] she's probably the only pet that i don't play with daily.

we've got a freshwater tank and a salt water aquarium with various fish in it and a horseshoe crab named mr.scuttles. :)

i've also had a hedgehog, a few other dogs, a newt, a blue lobster and so on.

i think if i could have any type of pet i'd love to have a fox. they're orange around here [which i'm obsessed with] and always seem spunky. i have a friend who's mom was a wild life foster home and they had one for a few months that acted just like one of the puppies. :) so cute.

i'd also like to have a pet otter; they're so adorable!

I have a Black Moor goldfish named Goggles, and I've adopted a stray cat I named Pretty Girl :D

I used to have a mini Doberman pincher but my parents got fed up with him and signed him over to the pound without saying anything to me. I cried like a little bitch that night, I still miss him. :(

Most of my past pets were all small critters that I caught outdoors, like the time I found two small lizards in a park and brought them home, spent hours in a field catching crickets for them to eat...when I set them free, they wouldn't leave me! It was endearing.

I used to own two white lab rats that a nearby lab where my dad works gave me when they saw how I liked them. The smaller mouse I named Lisa and the larger rat I named Touchy...they were so cute and fuzzy, I miss them sorely after they died. :(

There was also my pet cat Zippie, that I had for a while when I lived in the states which me and my mom adopted from a shelter, but after I left my mom dumped her back to the shelter since she didn't like cats and I wasn't there anymore.

My favorite pet so far was my rooster Fowl Wing, it was completely white with a beautiful red crown and yellowish talons, I love him so much. The chicken farm my dad went to buy hens from for his experiment gave me three little males since males were useless there (as it was an egg-producing hen farm, and males were only good for breeding there), but two of them died soon after and only Fowl Wing survived. I had him around for a while, but after about a year or two I couldn't spend as much time as I'd like at my dad's office and one day my dad just said he had died, I was so upset that no one told me nor told me when he'd died (when I asked my dad he said, "I think around a month or two ago.") or how they disposed of his body. :gonk:

At the moment I have a fish in a jar on my desk right now, since our college dorms don't allow pets, but I snuck my fish in anyway :) I think it's a male, and I've named him Genny for Genesis Rhapsodos from Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core, due to his entirely red body.

Oh Klexyl, dinos that live in beds DEFINITELY count. I'm sorry to hear about your little rats Fading Existance, I bet those were pretty cool pets! :)

Hamlet; that's horrible. I knew we were going to bet putting my three dogs down last year [about a year ago exactly actually] and I was out taking pictures with them one day.. My dad came out to the deck where I was standing and smiled at me with his cup of coffee and i quote said.. "Better take a bunch of pictures with em today, we're putting them to sleep at two" I just kinda stared at him in horror shock. :( it was awful. those pictures turned out great, i was bawling in them and my friend anthony was over and he didn't know how to comfort me.. ha. >_< awful times.

AcidDrop, those are cool names! :) I can't have cats because I'm allergic to some of them, but they're soooo beautiful!

There are also two stray cats that come in every day ones named pumkin for being this massive big orange can and the other is salt and peper cause shes black and white =) once again not really mine but i take care of them so that makes them honorary pets right guys?

I have a cat, a harvest calico named Kali, who loves to annoy me and meow at me at 6 a.m., 45 minutes before I actually have to wake up. She has a droopy belly and looks fat even though she really isn't. She's just got loose skin! :gonk: I also have a hamster named Ham-chan (Hammy). They keep each other company when I'm at work all day. XP

Nah! Hammy's safe in her cage. The cat does like to sit next to it and paw at the bars though... But she's not smart or strong enough to figure out how to open the cage door. XD Plus, I think my cat is a wuss and wouldn't even eat the hamster if she had the opportunity. She'd probably play with it and chase it around... but that's it.

I must have had tons of pets over the years, mostly because I'm a sucker for the half-dead rescue cases.
Most of them have been of the small and furry variety, apart from several fish and a White's Tree Frog called Fluffy (he was awesome).

Currently, we have four guinea pigs.

The Doctor:

The Professor:

The Captain:

The Scientist:

They're my house-pigs. They're all fully litter trained, and are allowed to rome free-range around the house when there's someone home to keep an eye on them.
They're very cute, very friendly, and often like to follow me around the house like four fat little ducklings (especially when they want food!)

My favourite is The Professor.
He's an older rescue pig, and he's been through a lot. When we adopted him he had been neglected and severely mistreated, and was in terrible shape.
He's much healthier and happier now, but he's still very snappy with strangers (I'm the only person who can handle him without getting bitten) and generally very grumpy, even sometimes with me.
But that's all part of his charm. I love the old grumpus!

When I was younger, my sister and I owned fish. But they died within two days. My youngest sister has had a dog and such. I've never had my very own pet though.

I have a pet cat, well technically two pet cats but I only own one of them but the other cat I consider my pet as well since I also take care of her.

I've had my cat Farah since she was a kitten, she is less then a year and a half old now. She is such a loving cat. I never owned a cat before but i'm glad I do now.

I've had pet fish, pet mice, pet rats and an evil hamster. The hamster was the pet I least liked. It was anti social and didn't like to be petted, plus he had dirty habits.

The rats and mice were really cute and it's fun to see them play with each other.

Fish I don't consider much of a pet but they are nice to look at.

There is the family dog which I sorta consider my pet too. I would like to have my own dog one day. Oh and the family pet chicken...an interesting pet. It's nice when she lays eggs sometimes.

I have the two cats, and a dog, and two African Train millipedes. Over the course of my life, we've had two dogs, including our current, two other cats, and one other millipede. If i had my way, i'd have so many animals it's unreal, though my father won't allow anything else.

I like horses for some reason.

But my number one favorite animal would have to be the dog. ^^
It's mostly because my mom's allergic to them, so I've never beem able to own one.

I have a pure black cat named Trip and she's got this amazing thick fur and the prettiest face ever. x3
And I have three fish in my aquarium. I have two white skirt tetra ((They at one point were dyed and were called 'blueberry' and 'strawberry' tetra, which I don't agree with, but I didn't find this out until after I bought them.)) and they're almost completely white now, so it's hard to tell them apart.
And I have a bleeding heart tetra which I bought when his fins were all nibbled on and when I put him in my tank, my fish went to him right away thinking he was a snack. Dx
I talk to my fish somethings, call me weird, but I would watch them every once in a while and every time they went near him, I'd make a loud noise or a sudden movement and eventually they got the hint. xD
He's the oldest fish in my tank now. <3

I have a border collie named Molly, but my dad has to keep her since I live in an apartment and I don't have enough space for her. Also she's a very hyper dog and I don't have the time or energy to take her on constant walks. D: I really wish I could have her though, maybe get a big yard or something...

And I would love to have a pet fox! They're absolutely the sweetest looking things I've ever seen, I have a small obsession with them. :3
They act like cats and look like dogs which makes them the awesomest things ever! And they can be domesticated, unlike some people think.
If they're born into captivity, they learn to live in a house comfortably and can be taken on walks and they cuddle and all that stuff that any other cat or dog will do. <33

I want one! <33

I, at present, have a mini poodle named Shadow who's got the phantom colors. However, I've owned/still do own just not living with me, corn snakes. Those are ultimately my favorite pets along with dogs. If I could, I could see my self with a little snake farm, with lots of hatchlings. > w>;

I have:
2 bearded dragons
Dusky conure
Quaker parrot
2 Chinese crested dogs
4 mixed breed cats
1 green iguana
1 albino African clawed frog
2 mini crabs
3 mice and 4 babies

I may be adopting another bearded dragon sometime this week if all goes well. All my pets were adopted with the exception of my dogs. You'd be surprised what people are willing to just give away.
