Roleplay between two people that aren't youuuu. Sorry folks.

The castle was tall in the Romanian mountains. The small town it had resided in for many a century held rumors from good and bad sources.
In the alleys, if you listened, you could hear some of these stories told again.
"Some say, it's haunted with ghosts of owners past."
"I hear, it's all completely boarded up."
"I bet it's falling apart."
Even still, other theories occur...
"It's haunted alright, but by no ghost nor ghoul. It's vampires I say, with werewolves for pets."

Well, the werewolves part isn't true.

No one ventured closer than the rickety old gate at the bottom of the hill. The cartpath from the now paved road lead a winding many miles to the grand, though understandably dilapidated doors of the entrance. Trees almost completely hid the castle's enormity, though towers and old roofes still loomed over the small village come the evening hours.

Within these castles walls, windows completely boarded, was a castle fit, indeed, for a king. It's insides were well lit with artificial light, and people of various adult ages wandered about in quick succession. Somewhere, deep within the castle's heart, three men were arguing in what was set up to be a throne room.
One throne remained empty.

"Part of the counsel or not, Lestat is a total nuisance."
"Oh, come now, Armand. Don't be so....rough with him. He's younger, you know this. Which is why we will keep him here."
"Keep him--Marius do you understand what you're saying?"
"He has a point."
A young man with long, pin-straight oak hair looked up. Sharp green eyes met the other gazes, a little sheepish. Louis de Pointe du Lac. He smiled awkwardly, re-crossing his knees, tight trousers dating back to the early 1800's rubbing with the familiar gesture. "He....wel, he does, Armand."
"And, Louis, how do you assume?"
"Well," He fidgeted awkwardly with his sleeve. "If Lestat is here, like he is now and we have previously decided, we can keep an eye on him. He wont go gallivanting around, telling our secrets...doing /rock concerts/..."

And thats how Louis ended up in the garden with a rather indignant look and a stinging pain across one cheek in a distinct shape of a hand.
But, at least he'd helped Marius. Lestat would be staying.
He had mixed feelings about that fact.

If anyone was worthy of these hallowed halls, it was the brilliant Lestat. He needed no last name, and he needed no introduction. He was only the most famous vampire known to man, unless you counted those awfully fake ones that sparkled in the sunlight. If anyone knew what sunlight did to a vampire, it was...well, Louis, actually. But, of course, Lestat would take what glory he could, and leave his precious Louis in the wake, a broken man.

However, there had been a time when Louis had left him broken and alone, but it hadn't stayed that much longer. As he swooped down into the gardens behind his precious, swanning up behind him, the older blond wrapped his arms around the other's waist.

"Mm...my darling Louis, haven't you, too, shared our secrets? That interview..." He whispered, kissing at his neck; a sensitive spot for the other. Of course, he couldn't keep his hands to himself; nor could his fangs stay in his mouth. They wanted to poke and prod the other's skin until he was nothing more than his.

He had lost so much; Louis was all he had left, and that wasn't much, considering Louis was more expected to follow the women instead of him. But...now he had some semblance of control, and he felt he could hold the other as his for once and for all. Never again would the brunet elude him; ever.

Not that he had at first, because Lestat was far more clever than anyone would give him credit for. He was a conniving, malicious, manipulative vampire, and he was certainly good at his played persona of a musical prodigy.

"Have you missed me, my darling? It's been far too long, don't you think?"

Louis hardly jumped at all.
If anything, he looked rather bored.

"Lestat," He mumbled rather curtly, shifting to lean away from the embrace. He shivered slightly when his neck was kissed, but otherwise showed no sign of offering the other man any time at all. "Please, do let me go. And...well, you took care of that interview now didn't you?" He glanced back at him. "I would sincerely appreciate you letting me go. I told you back at the manor that I was not returning to you, and no matter how you seem to slick your way into other people's minds, I will not allow you to inching back into mine."

He rolled his eyes with an exasperated sigh, pushing at Lestat's arms about him. "And just so you do happen to know, Armand and Marius do wish to speak without post haste. You're still in more trouble than your worth, for the entirety of your shenanigans earlier this year." He rubbed his cheek absently. "Now, off with you. Go bother someone with a heartbeat. I'm sure you're hungry, you always are."

Lestat hardly seemed phased as well. He was used to Louis resisting him, by now, and no matter how many times he told him to take a long walk off a short pier, he'd always return to his favorite creation, no matter how much it loathed him.

"Oh, but Louis, dearest...I want to be yours again. Solely yours. No wretched women, just you and I." He purred in the other's ear, locking his hands and tugging Louis so close and tight to himself that, had he needed to breathe, the breath would have been knocked right out of him.

"You know I need you...and I'm certain that Armand and Marius can wait. They've waited centuries, what's an extra fifteen minutes?"

"You would be incredibly surprised how inpatient they can be." He shoved at him, huffing irately. "Be mine though you desire, perhaps I am not yours any longer. I have found mild comfort here in the counsel, and in the arms of both Marius and Armand, whomever may have me when I feel the mood." He twisted to look over his shoulder at him. "/They/ didn't sleep for two hundred years. So, shoo and be off with you. You needn't waste your time chasing a prey thats already gotten away."

Now, that, that did burn an old heart. An old heart that had been driven through such abuse for this man, this monster standing before him, and that hurt worse than the poisoning. The burning.

"At least I had good reason to sleep for two hundred years." Would-be murderer. WIth a huff, the overly-proud man stormed off to find the two vampires seeking him. He'd give them what-for; touching his Louis in his absence. They'd both fry for that, he'd see to it himself.

Louis sighed heavily, covering his eyes with his hand. He remained still for a while, before dropping his hand and looking up at the stars. "You scorn me."
He turned on his heel, hurrying after his Sire. "Lestat, listen--/hey/." He slowed when he caught up. "It was my choice."

"Your /choice/? To attempt murder on me several times? To find me alive...and /leave/ me? To let me spend all of eternity alone because everything I create wants to destroy me? Do you think you have a /choice/, here, Louis?" His normally pretty eyes were alight with anger. "Any man who has taken part of what is mine shall meet his fate." And with that, he moved away even quicker, trying to escape the constant nagging in the back of his mind.

Louis stared after him, looking all but completely baffled. His mouth moved, rather unattractively, open and closed like a fish for what seemed like eternity, before he was able to squeak out a protest. "Of course it was my choice! I'm not puppet, Lestat!"

"If you are not a puppet, then cut your strings, Louis. You have always followed someone else's dictations; you went from my own to that Wretch Claudia...then to Armand, and now the Council. You're nothing but a puppet, a collector's item. I wish you would just pick one puppet master and be done with it; and pick me over all others." Lestat spat fire behind him, eyes cold and voice no different. That quick temper was there, and it seemed he willed any person to try and take him on at that point.

His own 'wretch' was at his side in a heartbeat, earning a slap to the face and a bleeding cheek from the angered man. "You will leave me be. I have...more important things to do with my time." He snapped, finally making it to the thrown room.

As usual, he left cowering lambs in his wake, an evil lion bent on the destruction of things simply for his own pleasure. "I hear you wanted to speak with me, Marius." He completely ignored Armand, for now.

Louis touched his cheek tenderly, eyes springing to life with tears.

Armand quirked an elegant brow, curling his fingers beneath his chin. Marius sat a bit higher in his seat, eyes hard.
"Lestat, as of right now, you do know you're not allowed to leave the castle grounds. Correct?"
Armand gently flipped a few strands of hair from his face with his free hand, eyes narrow.

Lestat gave them all a flat look; it didn't even register to him who was speaking. He rolled his eyes in contempt, ready to defend his own life before their wants.

"I can leave the grounds when I wish to." He replied smugly, crossing his arms, "There is no fathomable reason for me to listen to either of you." Except, maybe, Marius; which he didn't quite add in yet, for the fact that he still wasn't sure who had been the speaker. Often times, he didn't even care anymore; speaking was monotonous and getting old rapidly. He only cared when he spoke.
