PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR PROFILES HERE!

This thread is for people role-playing in the elemental RP to chat with eachother.

Am I really the only one who had my character start in the rebel group? Does this basically mean I control all of the ones already there? Because if that's the case, I'm going to want to actually make canon profiles for at least a few of them.

I don't think making more profiles would be the best idea.

But I was going to have my character kind of run into the rebellion and join them.

Several people seem to have had the same idea; so in the meantime, do I just control the whole group then? How big is this group at the moment anyway?

On a different note, I was wondering; are all people in this world elementalists? Or are some of them simply non-powered citizens of one of the element kingdoms?

I was thinking maybe between ten to twenty people, but there's no need for you to make any more profiles, unless you really want to have another character that you will post everyday with as well.

But like, they travel through the grasslands and go into the different kingdoms occasionally for supplies, so they keep moving in order to not be attacked by any of the other kingdoms, you know what I mean? So they don't necessarily have a base.

Yeah, I mean, I would suspect that there would be the occasional person who wouldn't be born to a certain element. They'd probably be treated differently in different kingdoms. Like, if they were male, then they would probably be thrown aside because they couldn't fight. They'd probably just get the crappy jobs that no one else wants and would be treated like crap by other people. Some might even cast them out. Who knows. It's up to you. Why do you ask, though?

I was just curious whether the elementalists were a special class of people with the ability to control an element, or if that was the norm and basically everyone can do it. Your answer indicates the latter ^_^

Really? How so?

Are you planning on playing a character that has no elemental power?

No, not at all. But the feel of the world, and the attitude of our characters towards one another, is different if the elementalists are a special class with unusual powers rather than just everyday people.

True. In this world of elementalists, the norm is magic power and the abnorm is no power at all.

I wish I had an elemental power. In astrology and whatnot, my element is truely air and I'm in love with it. I'd so be part of the Air Kingdom if it was fo realz. 8D

Since Jeremiah seems to be a bit of a nuisance to the other characters, I'll be phasing him into the background in favor of this character:

:yumeh1:
Name:
Kyrissa Bluethorn
Age:
26
Element:
Water
Talents:
Public speaking, compassion, making people at ease
Likes:
People, trust, peace, order, smiles
Dislikes:
Sadness, disorder, hard heartedness, pigheadedness, war
Personality:
Kyrissa is a kind, gentle woman, with much patience (though it can wear out). She likes making people feel comfortable and at home, and will go out of her way to make anyone in her charge feel safe and welcome, even if they are a prisoner of war. She is, however, just a bit arrogant, and a tad vain; she tends to view herself as the leader no matter who she is with or what situation she is in.
Biography:
She was born and raised near the center of the Water Kingdom capital, a cousin to the royal family too far removed to rule but close enough to share many of the comforts of royalty. She somehow managed to avoid most of the spoiledness that so often comes from such comfortable beginnings, becoming only slightly vain. As soon as she was old enough to know there was a war, she wanted for it to stop, and the older she got the more certain she was that for one kingdom to conquer the others was not the true way to peace, but rather a recombining of the elements under one united kingdom was the right thing to do. She quickly ran away from home, as her family were major supporters of the war, her father a member of the Water Kingdom military. She heard through the grapevine that there were others like her, and she set out to find them. When she came upon the group several years ago, they were about five or six ragtag elementalists with a bold idea and no direction. She quickly proclaimed herself their leader, though this position is now often contested by Jeremiah. Nobody can really tell how much of their fighting is real and how much is in jest, but it never comes to blows and they usually come to agreement in the end so it hasn't really mattered... yet.

Oh, quick question. Can elementalists actually *create* their element, or can they only control it where they find it in nature? (I assume fire elementalists can create it regardless, as fire is rarely just found lying around.)

That made me laugh about fire just lying around. I assume they can create their own element, although in Avatar: The Last Airbender, the water benders needed to be around a water source in order to use it.

I assume that doesn't apply here though. Good question.

Yeah, the elementalists can just manifest their elements when need be.

Fire can be created with just a little bit of heat [like even rubbing their hands together to create friction] and the elementalists can take care of the rest to create a flame.

Water comes from everything and everywhere. Like, it's in the air, in our bodies and everything. I guess that they can control the little bit in those things, but I think that to make the most sense, [like if they wanted to create a tidal wave, they would have to be near a large body of water]. But water and moisture is also in the ground. I think that they can create a handful of water if they got it from the ground as well. I dont' know, you guys can use your imagination.

Air is everywhere. Easily explained. C:

Earth is basically everything. That's also easily explained.

That I probably won't be on Menewsha for quite some time. I've lost interest in my RPs I'm involved in and have created and kind of in Menewsha in general. I might pop in once in a while, but I'm not sure. I'm so busy with work and the holidays and such, that I'm swamped with ... life. Lol. So much to do. I just don't have time to keep up with everything.

But, I definitely encourage you guys to keep the story going. And, if you'd still like to involve your friends, you can have them join and post their profiles somewhere. I hope you guys' aren't too disappointed. But I guess I haven't really posted anything in a couple weeks or so anyways.

I just want to thank you guys for all your time, creativity, ideas, writing and I'd like to say that all of you are fantastic and I had a great time with you. And thank you all for joining my RPs and taking interest in them, without you, my ideas and stories wouldn't be worth anything. C:

You guys are great. <3 Toodles~

- Mecha.
