Dollhouse is a TV show that follows an organization that employs mind-wiped humans known as Dolls who are implanted with false memories and skills for various missions and tasks. When they are not 'at work' they are living in a real life Dollhouse which gives the show the name. One of those mind-wiped humans, a young woman named Echo, is slowly starting to become aware of herself and what's going on.

Repo: The Genetic Opera is a movie. The best way I can explain is through the summary of the movie.
In the year 2056 - the not so distant future - an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GeneCo, a biotech company that offers organ transplants, for a price. Those who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted by villainous Repo Men. In a world where surgery addicts are hooked on painkilling drugs and murder is sanctioned by law, a sheltered young girl searches for the cure to her own rare disease as well as information about her family's mysterious history. After being sucked into the haunting world of GeneCo, she is unable to turn back, as all of her questions will be answered at the wildly anticipated spectacular event: The Genetic Opera.

From my rp with Ananas à Pois:

Princess Meredeth entered the court room as her family was announced, walking elegantly to the box reserved for royalty. Before her were her parents and older brother, dressed somberly in memory of Jacob. The fabric of her own dove gray gown whispered as she moved slowly across the floor of the room. As a close cousin of Meredith she felt the loss deeply, though heavy makeup applied by her ladies maid gave her an appearance of perfection. As the youngest of the royal family Meredith sat last, taking the time to smooth her skirts.

This would be the event of the season. Crowds of people had surrounded the building for glimpses of the royal and noble families attending the trial. The crowd had gone on for blocks dressed in their best. In Meredith's opinion they were all leeches. None of them gave one whit about the pain her family was feeling. Her own wishes that the trial be quick and private were overruled. The king decreed the murder be make an example of, that he would be paraded in the public so all would know murder would not be tolerated. Meredith had pleaded for hours to both her mother and father with no change to the outcome.

Okay, here's my example:

He had been trained since birth to be a god with mortal skin and bones. For he, just like the gods who oversaw all, held sway over life and death. Who would live, who would die... The who and the names and the lives attached meant nothing to him. All that mattered was that he carried out his job to the letter, no messy ends, all loose strings tied up with his blood-stained hands. So that he could obtain his name in material form and then vanish into shadows.

Kin. A hired killer's name. Not the man's true one, given by his mother at birth. He forgot his birth-given name most of the time. He was only Kin; a slayer for hire, a human who decided fate, a man out for gold.

An assassin.

Now, crouched on a thick branch of the tree that grew on the outskirts of a particular noble's land, he had another job to carry out. Kidnap the daughter of the noble for whatever petty political reason. Turn her over to his employers of the moment, collect his payment. Disappear, like always, until he was next called on.

Surveying the land, Kin observed that there was nobody about; none of the noble's family, no servants, no visitors. It was three hours past nightfall, and the house was sure to be asleep. The perfect time to clap a cloth doused with sleeping potion over the nose of the daughter, condemn her to an even deeper sleep until she woke in a strange place as a political pawn.

Kin dropped easily from the tree branch and began to make his way stealthily across the noble's land towards his house. He knew the lay of the place, having researched it thoroughly before choosing tonight to carry out the job. He knew where he could hide, where the best escape routes were should something go wrong. He knew where the noble's daughter slept.
