It is 1801, In London.
I am Victoria, I am Hosting this party as it is my 18th birthday, and you are invited as my guest. The party is held in the ball room, where there will be dancing, drinks, and more, you are welcome to bring a friend or a lover, you must bring me a gift however; it does not need to be anything of great importance.
The masquerade will begin at eight pm sharp, and that is where the fun will began.


It was the morning of my eighteenth birthday, and I was excited! It is the year I can marry, and live on my own.
I had plans to make and food to order! I made sure everything was in order and hour before my guests arrived. I put my soft black hair up in curls, and put on my favorite purple dress. Now I just needed to wait a bit longer and the Party will begin.


RULES: NO GOD-MODDING, I am Victoria and that's that.
I do not care if you curse.
Remember there is love and murder so please be as detailed as we are allowed to be.

Rivera Had on one of her many dresses as she stepped out of her car and locked the door. This dress was a very complex blue style. A rather large box hung from her arms. She put her matching mask on and headed to the open front door. Peering in before stepping inside. She seemed to be a bit too early. A table was to her right for presents. That was where Rive left her little surprise. She could not wait to see Vicky's face when she opened the box to find a live lobster.

when rivera arrived I was filled with joy [[ shes a friend right? lol]]
"Rivera! Hello! I am so glad you could make it!" Victoria said with excitment.
Victoria walked up to her beloved friend and kissed her on the cheek "How are you?" She asked her friend. She noticed that Rive left a gift, and that she looked amazing, as always.

((I deeply apologize for any stealing of names, but when I thought of this, I thought of my favorite Final Fantasy character. *sheepish smile* Forgive me! *bows*))


With his waist-length black hair flowing about his shoulders, Vincent looked the part of a young lord. Despite his noble appearance, the young man was of lower birth - considered a peasant by his some. His family said that his status didn't matter, but it still took it's toll on Vincent Valentine.
His black suit with crimson highlights was finely tailored to fit his form, and his mask portrayed the face of a dragon. The mask made his eyes look large, bringing out the deepness of the brown orbs, and making him seem even paler than he truly was.
Vincent tapped the small box about the size of a tall candle that he held beside him. Tonight was a grand one: it was Victoria's 18th birthday . . . she was coming of age. The thought made the young man smile. She was a mere two years younger than him, and had turned into quite the lady within the last few months.
With the shards of red in his brown eyes flashing in the dim light, Vincent relaxed for the remaining journey. When the carriage finally pulled to a stop outside of Victoria's house, he stepped out and went to ring the bell.

((Just to clarify, I think it would be cool to have Victoria and Vincent know each other from when they were a bit younger, but not very well. It's more like they know OF each other. :P If that's alright with you, anyway. Oh, and who on earth is going to be murdered? >.>' Do you have that worked out yet, or no?))

After saying hello to rivera, she moves on to say my hellos to my other guests.
Thats when she spots Vincent, Victoria ddosent really KNOW him but she has seen him here and there,"how are you" she askes kissing him on the right cheek, my has he gotten handsome since the last time she has seen him "long time! where have you been?" Victoira puts a black curl behind her ear. it has been quite a while since she has seen Vincent...so it was nice to see his face.
"Ahh so glad you could have made it!" Victoria says delighted

((Well, if you need a murderer . . . LOL, I'm willing. :P If you don't have anything in mind already, that is.))

"It's good to be here," Vincent said honestly, a slight smile on his pale face when she kissed his cheek in greeting. "I have just returned from visiting my family. It's my first time back home in a few months now."
Looking over her elegant gown, the dark-haired youth smiled. "Coming of age already! It seemed like just yesterday that we were all running to school." The tall man shoved the box he was carrying into his black sleeve, looking about at the other guests. "I don't think you'll be running around with the likes of us anymore, will you?" Vincent chuckled. Victoria never was one to stay completely within the guidelines for lady-hood. "Do you feel any different about yourself quite yet?"
Slowly he moved away from the door, keeping his red and brown eyes on Victoria.

"So what did you think of the lovely Miss Victoria, darling?" asked Count Randall as he poured a glass of wine for his beautiful companion.

"She is quite the charming debutant, Noah." replied the white clad opera singer. Her dress was lightly adorned with silk roses and a real white rose rested in her braided hair. Ashlotte gratefully took the stem glass from her lover and smiled as she looked over at the hostess. She was now speaking to a black-haired man with a dragon mask. "Do you know that man?" the auburn haired woman asked as she adjusted her feathered mask.

"I believe he is from the Valentine family, although I rarely see him at any of their parties." he said, pouring a glass of wine for himself. The young count looked over at the table where the gifts were held. Presents were already piling up as more people came in. He looked at two boxes in particular. Both were wrapped in light blue artisan's paper and had a white rose design on them, however one was larger than the other. Those were the jeweled necklace and the imported dress for his family friend's daughter.

[Please feel free to kill off either one of my characters :) I shouldn't have written this while I'm sleepy, I wish I could put more detail but maybe later on :sleep: ]

Victoria looked directly into his eyes " Of course Id love to see you more often, class has no meaning in my life, although, my family seems to think it should, but your a dear friend." she says to with with a sheepish smile. He was just too handsome to not know of him, even if he was a valentine.
"ahh so where have you been these past few months?" Victoria asked with curiosity in her eyes.
He was a very mysterious man...and Victoria liked that about men.

Vincent stiffly replied to Victoria, seeming uncomfortable with the question despite it's normality. "I went to visit some family in the neighboring town," he said. "As you know, I don't come from the Valentine's family lineage, but from a lower household's."
The low-born man had come from a low-ranking family in the city to the east, and he had just returned from visiting his relatives . . . despite the Valentine family's complaints.
The tall man swiftly changed the subject, moving on to the party itself.
"How long did it take you to plan this?" He adjusted his red and black mask, looking down at Victoria with a strange look in his eyes.

"Oh! Not that long...about a month" Victoria said the the man. She really didnt do that much, she mostly had help from servants and her family, she just said what she wanted and where and such.
"Again, I am glad you made it" She said not knowing what else to say to him..I mean after all she hasn't seen him in months! maybe even a year!
"What made you come?" She asked, looking directly into his eyes.

"I-" Valentine paused, his brown eyes meeting her gaze. "It's been a while," he said, "and I wondered how you were doing."
Before the noble could say anything else, the two of them were interrupted by a young man wearing a lion's mask. "Victoria!" he said loudly, tying his blond hair behind him. Coming up, he kissed her on both cheeks and grabbed her hands. "Getting older! How exciting is this, yes?" Looking over to Vincent, the youth frowned. He immediately dropped Victoria's hands and stood rigid. "Valentine."
"Lucien," the dragon-masked man nodded, keeping his expression closed. The two nobles regarded each other coldly before Vincent looked back to Victoria. Nodding respectfully, he bid her a good evening. "You should speak to your other guests as well, M'Lady."
James Lucien snorted as Valentine headed for the drink table. "That man isn't someone you should be spending your time with, Victoria." Though Vincent had known Victoria far longer than James, the blond man seemed to think his word took precendence. "There's a reason that he isn't brought to the parties with his parents, yes?"

"whatever the reason is no bussiness of mine" She says to James.
She felt...upset at the way James acted towards Vincent.."There is no need to be rude, after al this is MY party" She said to james. "Adrink?" she offers when a servant comes by with a platter with wine glasses and she grabbed on for herself and took a drink "MMM"
"This is devine!" She says.

James took a drink for himself before smiling. "Indeed," he said happily, "This is very good. It rather reminds me of that time we snuck some cider out of your father's cellar." The blond man grinned. "Those were good times, were they not?"

((Heh, we'll say that James Lucient is a childhood friend of Victoria's . . . and has an overblown version of their friendship in his head. He thinks they're better friends than they truly are. :P))

Victoria laughed! "Yes, yes there were! Such trouble we caused" She said sipping more of her wine. She kinda wanted to find Vincent, or anyone other than james to talk to, she liked him but he seemed to think that they were "best of friends" when in reality, he just chased her around.

Aria entered the party with a smile under her mask. The mask was butterfly with red along the wings, black on the inside, and dark green lines that made designs filled with occasional colours. She looked along the party guests and smiled as she saw Victoria. "Hello miss and happy eightteenth. I am happy that you invited me to your party." She said with a curtsy of her dark red dress. It held black lace designs along the waist, hem, sleeves, and collar. It stopped at the top of her knees and flowed along with the breeze that came from when she had opened the doors. Her dark brown hair up in short pigtails that although childish were perfectly fancy with the dress.

"ahh Aria! So glad you could make it!" Victoria said with excitement and kissed both her cheeks.
"How are you?" She asked her friend, she was so happy she showed up when she did, now should would have a reason to stop talking to james.

"I am fine. And how about you? Is your birthday as great as it sounded in that invitation?"" Aria replied with a return kiss on each cheek. She gave a glance to James as Victoria left him to talk to her. She wondered if something had happened between the two but didn't say anything.

((I want to make a character to be the first to be murdered Can I do that?))

"yes, its wonderful, I was able to get the best wine in town!"
"how about you? are you doing anything new?"
I really wondered bout her, she was always so kind to me. I cared for her deeply.

"That is awesome to hear. I am not changing to much. I am on the other hand challenging myself to wear my hair in this fashion for a really long time." Aria smiled as a breeze hit her and Terra walked in. The young friend of Victoria walked in with a long white dress and a white cat like mask on. She smiled and ran over to Victoria.
"Happy eightteenth."

"Hello!!" Victoria says to her beloved friend
"How are you?" and she looks back over to Aria "haha why ever would you wear your hair like that for a long period of time?" She looked back at Terra and smiled kissing both her cheeks.
she smiled at both of them " I am so glad the two of you could make it!!" She said excitedly.
