Until someone proves to me something does or doesnt exist, it is always a viable possibility. Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Dragons, Gods(yes plural), Boogeymen, Super powered humans, Zombies(though it kind of has been recorded...just not verified), etc. Anything is a possibility if your mind is open.

I usually get the "Are you high?!" look...since someone usually asks me something like that when I just wake up in the morning, and my eyes are a little bloodshot. Either that, or somehow we get onto the subject of powerful beasts, and I bring up dragons...them giving me the same look, or trying to take away my beers. But you have to think, how do we know what this stuff looks like if it doesnt exist? Someone had to have seen one of each "mythical" creature to be able to depict it.

Well, my grandma used to swear blind that fairies lived in her garden.
Not just in the way that people pretend to believe in things to humour children, she genuinely believed they were living under the shed.
She used to leave food out for them and everything.

I agree with Drac. Until someone proves me that something DOES NOT exist for the most part I believe in a possibility for things. That's just the psych. major in me though. You have to prove me wrong definitively before I will say that I don't believe in something.

I can't say yes or no to most mythical things. I'm skeptical, but I want someone to prove that things like that do exists.

I do believe in ghosts though, but less in the way of souls trapped on Earth and more in the way of Feelings left behind. I also believe in good and evil forces (Though I don't subscribe to a single religion. Every religion describes good and evil forces in similar ways). I think that more often then not evil forces take upon themselves the images of people who have died in order to pose as ghosts and hurt people. But also that good forces do the same to help people.

Its all IMO though, and I can' prove a thing. :/

Funny story. My friend's dad was outside with her and her sister one night when they were kids (summertime) and teaching them to catch lightning bugs. He saw one and went, "Do you believe in fairies?" right before he clapped his hands together and smashed it.

My friend's younger sister freaked out and was like, "YOU KILLED TINKER BELL!" I still LOL at that story every time.

Anyway, I'm an agnostic, which doesn't limit itself to God (at least, for me)--I don't have proof either way that they do or do not exist. It's a pretty thought, though!

I believe in fairies and all sorts of stuff like that.

There was even this guy that my mom knew who believed in fairies and he believed in them until the day he died and this was an old man we're talking about, not some little kid XD

I think he might've been related to me in some way but I'm not sure ^^"

I believe. Fae, they're magick. No one can prove nor disprove Magick, thus to me, they exist. As well as other 'mythical' beings.

I think that they could be real. Someone had to witness something to be able to come up with a mythical creature, after all.
Anyways, I hope they are real. >w<

I remember a long time ago I had some inlaws, particularly a aunt -inlaw who said her daughters swore they saw some fairies in the woods in mid Pennsylvania. I was kind fascinated how the girls described the fairy circles that usually appear in forests and how they said they saw them flying withing the circle. I don't know what I believe, I'm not going to say that I do and I'm not going to say that I don't because if they do exist in the legend from JM Barrie's Peter Pan novel, then they will die if I say that I don't believe in fairies. I know in Ireland there are legends of changelings or what they called the little people. I don't know too much about Irish lore and how much of it is actually American/Irish and how much of it is pure Irish. Getting off topic a little bit, I liked how in the newest Peter Pan movie how at the end all the children in London kept whispering in their sleep that they do believe in fairies and kept repeating it and thus Peter Pan was able to save Tinkerbell and get fairy dust in order for himn to fly. Well anyways that is my thoughts on the whole subject other than they are pretty to have as figurines.

I do believe in fairies, and the rest of the creatures of the fairy realm. I'm a firm believer that those of the fairy realm are the protectors of the forest, which is why when I take something from the forest I always make sure to get their permission first and always leave an offering, whether it be by replanting to replace what was taken or leaving honey or milk.

Yay for us believers! ^_^

I have an open mind, a creative person like myself must to survive. In fact I even think I am beginning to believe in spirits. Every time I see something my dad would love like a book about dragons or a Raider's mug I feel like that's him letting me know he's with me. Like for example right after he died all of a sudden I saw so many Raiders and dragon things when I never used to see a whole bunch of gift possibilities for him like that when he was alive; it was seriously the weirdest thing. So I feel like it must mean something.

The world is filled with so many things unknown and seemingly impossible, even if it only exists in one's imagination. That is what brings a story to life. Seeing isn't believing, believing is seeing. Just look at God, so many believe in his greatness and his love including myself. He is worshiped every Sunday, sometimes Saturday. We sing his praises and read his stories from the bible. But has anyone ever seen God? How do we know so well that he exists? Because it's not proof it's faith and imagination. If people can open their minds to God than why not faeries or spirits, aliens or even holiday figures such as Santa Clause.

I do!
Think I've seen two in my life.
Both were insect sized but I looked very close at them
and they were not like any bloody bug I've ever seen.

The first was a sort of pearlescent lilac. Super tiny so I couldn't make out her face but she had graceful arms and I swear it looked like it was wearing a full skirted dress and had wings. The dress, wings and skin were all the same color. So the skeptic in me says okay it could have been a bug but.. a lavender or lilac colored BUG? oO

I've never seen another one like it.

I saw my second faerie around a year ago.
She was floating around near some plants my neighbor has planted along the side walk.
Her outfit was GORGEOUS. Imagine those fuzzy, fluffy babushka style hats in all white
and super-light blue or white gown.

Really might not need to be said but I'm not on any type of drugs

and to cashuea it might be one of those things where you won't find them if you're looking too hard.
You need to believe but not actively seek them. I dunno I'm just thinking maybe that's the way it is.

.
