I'd rather you post first... but it occurs to me that it probably makes more sense if I do it.

I got bored... >.> So I'm just going to start it off xD;

----

The nightlife buzzed around her as she waded through the crowd. It was as it always has been. Drunken people lining the streets begging for drugs, sex, and money. It made her sick, actually, to see them groveling at her feet. Not that she could blame them, of course, Victoria was gorgeous in every sense of the word. She had fair, pale skin and amazing pale blue eyes. She had a body that could only be described as sinful, and a grin painted across her lips that could honestly be only described as wolf-like. She was wearing a red tank top that was very low cut, revealing decent sized breasts. A pair of stone-washed blue jeans hung low on her hips and fell over a pair of pinstriped heels. Her walk could more easily be described as a strut, as she walked with the confidence of a super model. She had long brown hair to accentuate her eyes. It was a mixture between straight hair and soft curls.

She was currently standing outside her favorite club, a cigarette dangling from her full lips. Victoria was versed in the art of manipulation. She knew how to bend people to get what she want, and had basically been doing it since she was fourteen years old. It wasn't hard to figure out that with the lick of her lips and a caress from her fingers, that she shape a person into whatever she wanted to be at the time and get whatever it was she wanted out of them. Lately, she hadn't been using it much as she had the means to get what she want, although the attention she got didn't hurt anything. She enjoyed it, actually, loved the attention she got from men and women. But she was sure that it wouldn't be long before all of her teasing and manipulating got her into a position that she would have a hard time getting out of.

Orson Daley walked the downtown streets with long quiet strides. Hands in his black jean pockets, one would assume he was just another lost mutt roaming the streets aimlessly. Maybe it was his almost-white blond hair that framed a strong jaw. It gave a strong essence of innocence on the 23-year old. Or maybe it was his dark brown eyes. They were wide and soft, giving off a gentle light to whomever peered in them. He walked unassumingly, his head tilted slightly down, though his eyes were constantly moving. He was, without a doubt, looking for someone. As Orson approached a crowd, he slowed and straightened, beginning to study the faces.
He was looking for a woman, one that was supposedly knock-your-socks-off, painstakingly, heart-breakingly beautiful. A woman with a flare of danger that drew the men in like flies. The faces in the crowd didn't strike him as being out-of-this world, so he walked down a little further to a smaller crowd, standing in front of Club Azure. It didn't take him more than a minute to figure out that she was the one. "Boss wasn't kidding about this one", he thought to himself as he joined in the crowd, waiting for it to thin out and for the opportune time to speak to her.

The cigarette in her delicate fingers and a hungry look in her eyes, she examined the crowd. The usual people. The underaged kids trying to get in and the older women longing to feel young again. They were all mixed in with the desperate men, the players, and the miserable housewives. Of course, her eyes scanned over him, lingering there for a minute before pulling away to examine something else. The hungry look in her eyes had faded to boredom. Everyone was so plain, so normal, the everyday averages. She hated it. She finished off the cigarette and plucked it into an ashtray as the crowd moved a little closer to the door.

It seemed like anyone around was scared to touch her, scared to get close to her. Who could blame them? She let them all crowd around the door and she slipped out of the crowd, to wait herself until it thinned out. Trying to force yourself into a club with a crowd was the easiest way to get robbed or groped. Neither or which she was about to stand for right now. She saw him again. Now that the crowd was thinner, she could study him. His eyes reminded her of chocolate. Dark chocolate, her favorite.

As the people finally began to go inside, Orson kept his eye on her, discretely so she wouldn't think he was some sort of a creep. Hopefully, anyway. His hair hung in light waves around his head, 'fixed' perfectly, though really all he did was brush it a little... He was clean shaven, his outfit without unnecessary crease or wrinkle. He wore black jeans, a ribbed off-white tank with an overlying black leather jacket, fitted with a short upturned collar. Clean cut, safe, perfect. He knew she saw him, and every time he caught a glimpse of her eye, he made sure to have a bright expression on his face. Not a cheesy smile, but something that said he was safe, friendly.

Now she was walking away from the people, waiting a few feet away from the entrance. Not her cup of tea, after all.... or maybe she was taking her sweet time. It didn't matter... he would make her go in. Orson began to walk on the edge of the sidewalk as close to the street as possible, now avoiding eye contact with her till he was at the doorway. After paying his cover, he entered, casting a quick but lingering look at her before he was gone.

An invitation? That was what she had seen it as. And with a coy smile, Victoria pushed herself off of the wall and advanced, making it in shortly after. Now, Victoria was not a hunter, no, she was the prey as she saw it. And if the man were interested enough in her to make the invitation, then surely he would await her entrance and come to find her. She sat at the bar, with crossed legs, and now a drink in hand. Her pale eyes observed the area. Everything from the pulsing music to the mounds of bodies on the dance floor, pressed against each other and sweating. She could do that. If she got bored enough. And she was certain she would.

When it came to how safe the man looked, she had been with much more dangerous men. So, she was not worried in the least about the blonde man. She raised the drink to her full lips and took a sip before setting it down and becoming bored. She hated playing the waiting game. Perhaps she would wait for him a little longer before she made her way to dance. The music was loud, as usual, and it pulsed through her in her wait, making the fact that she was sitting still a tad more unbearable.

Orson stood in a corner, half-empty beer in hand. He hadn't actually drunk any of it, on account of there being a strict policy of no drinks while working. He wasn't fond of drinks to begin with, which meant he was the perfect man for this particular job. He could play the part even better. It wasn't long before he saw her enter, looking rather bored with everything. He figured a woman of her stature would. Yet she had followed him. Orson made himself hard to find as he stood in the shadows, observing her. She seemed to be a rather private woman, but open to any fun that might be had. He stepped across the club, making his way to her. Taking a faux sip of beer, making sure to lick his lips quickly and subtly to catch any that made it on his lips, Orson approached her.
He kept a safe distance from her, standing erect, not leaning on the bar or toward her. Formality was the key- not for his sake, but because that was the kind of thing that really got the women. Certain targets required certain bait, and this particular target needed a special kind of bait, one he could give. "Come around here often?" He spoke, making sure his words rang loud and clear over the music but not opressively so.

She hadn't caught site of him until he raised the drink to his lips. So, he was a drinker? She could get along with a drinker. A grin snaked across her face in the process. She let her gaze follow him until he reached the bar. Her head turned towards him briefly before seeming bored with him and looking away. And then he spoke. There we go, this was the game of cat and mouse that she had been looking for. She turned her gaze to him again, the grin still on her lips. "All the time... Although I can't seem to recall your face. What brings you here?" And though he had used the oldest line in the book, he had spoken to her. Her voice was as smooth as chocolate, and had something of a seductive twinge.

She felt a tad displeased. He wasn't standing close enough to her. For the first time, she felt like the moth to the flame. But she was so certain in this case that she wouldn't get burned. She let another grin sneak across her face as she spoke. "You know, I won't bite you, mystery man..." It was an amused tone she wore now. One that she usually used to draw them in. But for some reason, he seemed ridiculously immune to all of her charm.

He hid a smile. "My job." It wasn't a lie. "Excuse me if I seem a little awkward. It's my first time here, I'm just trying to get accustomed to the lifestyle here; it's quite a change from where I'm from." He took another sip. "You know, the big city... busy streets, tall buildings, the like... we had none of that back home." He stepped closer, going into a more relaxed position, putting his hand back in his pocket and going into a lean that started in the torso and increased around his shoulders. He looked around the room. "It's nice here, though. I'm liking it so far." His eyes settled on hers once more.

She cocked her head to the side briefly and allowed her vision to slide around them before finally settling on him again. "You will get used to the lifestyle... It doesn't take as long as you would think it does..." She finished off her drink. When he mentioned liking it, she let a smile snake across her face. "Well... I'm glad you're enjoying your time here..." She finally approached him, reaching out and resting her hand against his chest. "Do you dance, mystery man...?" She was very close to him. Close enough to have made any other man's skin crawl.

Now, this was a typical reaction for her. She found her prey for the night, and then she taunted and teased and maybe, if they were lucky, she took them home. She reached up, brushing a small amount of hair from his face before she opened her mouth to speak again. "I'm Victoria. Do you have a name I can call you by...? I may need it later..." The smile morphed into a grin that one could only describe as wolf-like. Predatory.

Orson didn't react to the physical touch, save for the small smile that crept over his mouth and eyes. He looked at her. "I'm afraid I'm not the dancing type. Seems my sister took all of the dancing genes in the family." He caught the smell of the lotion she wore as she reached up to touch his hair. Orson moved back without taking a step, a very subtle move. Was this woman crazy? She was incredibly bold to a newcomer like him... No, she was just playing her game. A game at which she was one for winning.
Well, she would have to adjust that record after tonight... "Victoria", he said. "That's a name I've always liked. I'm Orson, by the way." He gently took her hand from his chest and kissed it with soft cool lips, his eyes peering up from his bowed head.

He had moved back from her. That caused her insides to twist. A man that could resist her, she wasn't sure that such a man had even existed, but she took it in stride. She let the rejected hand fall back to her side. It was a game, and the pawns didn't always move where you wanted them to at first, but either was she was going to get what she wanted. She always did.

She listened to him as he spoke, contemplating taking her hand away. Before she made a move to do so, she felt the caress of the soft lips at her fingertips. Now, she was confused. But she would push past it and continue with the game. Maybe he was falling into place, or maybe he was tugging her along the board as some sort of pawn. She allowed her fingers to trace a small line at his jaw. "Orson? That's a very unique name... I can't say I've ever met anyone by that calling before..." She leaned back against the bar and allowed her mind to race through her next move.

It was startling- how up-front this woman was; Orson had never really experienced something like this. Usually he just made the girls blush and giggle, but as far as someone making some sort of move on him like Victoria was, this was something entirely new.
He was about to take another 'sip' of beer when he felt a light touch at his jaw. His smile widened, though it remained very reserved. "I've heard that many a time", he said. "My mom always said it was after some sort of painter, but I never really believed her." He chuckled. "Perhaps it was to make me feel like I wasn't alone." He took a sip. "So... Victoria... may I buy you something to drink to your liking? It would be rude of me to stand here and converse with this lone bottle."

She pulled her hand back from him and she let her head tilt to the side. "Well, we never really will understand our parents. Perhaps we're not meant to, who knows...?" She had always come off very strong. That was a strength of hers, she thought. When he offered to get her a drink, she smile. "Well, if you feel that way, I certainly will not turn down a free drink..." She settled down in a chair next to where they were standing, letting her back press against the counter as she leaned back. Her eyes fluttered from the dance floor back to him. She couldn't quite figure him out. Huh, another supposed myth. A man she couldn't figure out. It was a shame he couldn't, or didn't want to, dance. That was most of how she got what she wanted out of men. She couldn't figure out what it was she wanted out of him, but once she figured him out a little more extensively, she would know.

He shook his head in reply. "I guess not... no one will know them as we do; it's kind of funny once you think about it, really." Orson sat next to her, setting his bottle down and studying the people around him for a brief moment. The club was really hopping tonight. "Order what you'd like." He said with a light grin. Ugh... he just wanted to be done with the mission already. But in this situation, setting the prey up for the bait and the trap took some time. He looked back to Victoria. "You know, if you want to go out there and dance, don't let me keep you."

The drink she decided to order was simple, nothing extensive. Victoria may have seemed like an expensive, hard to please woman, but it was the little simple things that appealed to her the most. As she rose the beer to her lips, she noted his expression, like he didn't want to be here. She let the beer fall, setting it down. "I'm not really feeling it tonight. And it's really no fun to dance alone. Though I am going to visit the little girl's room. Watch my beer?" She wouldn't care either way if he decided not to, but she was leaving anyway. "In the off-chance that you disappear in my absence, it was nice meeting you, Orson."

When she finally pushed away from the bar and headed to the bathroom, she let her head run through options. Orson seemed like a hard case, and she was trying to decide if this was something she really wanted to fight for or not. She may attempt to take him home, he'd be a good get together for her, but what was it after that? Throw a fish that she had nearly gotten the hook stuck in her mouth to catch right back into the ocean? She was gone for five or more minutes before she returned.

He smiled as she spoke. "It's a pleasure, and of course I'll watch the beer for you." He waited, moving closer to her beer, leaning against the bar so that obviously no one would be able to get to it. He watched as she waded through the crowd until she disappeared in the ladies room. He breathed a light sigh after she was nowhere to be found. Really? He thought to himself. She trusts me to watch over her drink?! He had the drugs with him- tasteless, odorless, and virtually invisible. But he thought he would drag this out a little more and go for a different method rather than just drugging her and carrying her off. Sure, it wouldn't be an issue to leave the club right then and there before she passed out, but Orson was a professional. He didn't have to stick to one option if he didn't want to.

He watched her the whole time on her way back to the bar. He wanted her to know it, too. He took another swig as he stepped aside to give her room to get her beer back. "You know, I'm not feeling it either tonight... would you like to grab a bite to eat or something?"

She noticed that Orson seemed to be watching her like a hawk as she returned. That was exactly what she wanted. And it was only natural for her to trust him with her drink. Who would want to drug a woman that seemed all to eager to leave with you? She could have been acting differently, but the way he looked at her made her want to try a little harder for his attention. Yes, it would be worth it. He had better be absolutely amazing in the sack, in any case, for Victoria to be working so hard on the case.

After approaching, she took her beer and leaned back against the counter, taking a healthy swig and then looked towards him as he spoke. She thought about it. She supposed it couldn't hurt. Maybe she could even get started on her fun early tonight? She had gone home with woman after woman lately, so it was only natural for her to ache for the touch of a male. She finished off the beer before speaking herself "Sure, that sounds fine, Orson... You lead and I'll follow." She spoke, motioning towards the door.

After leaving his bottle on the counter and giving a gratuitous tip, he lead the way out of the noisy club and out onto the sidewalk of the bustling downtown. Still, the people roamed, though with more purpose now, more direction, now that the clubs were open. It was nice, and he and Victoria walked leisurely among them, eyeing the resturaunts and diners along the way. "Since I'm new around here, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me some the good places to eat", he said.

She walked with him, soaking up the envy. She did love the attention, that was one thing she would be unable to deny until the day she died. She loved envy, jealousy... loved it all. When he spoke to her about a place to eat, she stopped and thought about it for a minute. "It depends on what you like... What're your tastes and I'll get us to the right place..." She suggested with one of her million dollar smiles. Well, that was what she called it. Oh, a narcissist by any other name....

Again he smiled back. Wow, this girl was into herself, he already could tell. Well, it made it interesting, that was for sure. "Hmm anything, really. If you couldn't tell already, I'm a pretty easy going guy." He flicked his eyes ahead, noticing the neon sign of a diner. "What about that place? Is it any good?" It was true, he was getting hungry. His cheeks began to turn red as Orson began to notice that his stomach was rumbling.

She looked up at the sign and nodded. She'd eaten there a few times, and she smiled at him. "Yeah, this place is pretty good. They have amazing fries, if you like that sort of thing..." She said, ruffling her hair a little more. She didn't get the feel that he was as into her as she was into herself, or into him for that matter. He did spark a good bit of interest in her, but she couldn't quite figure out why. Ugh... she hated being unable to figure things out. And into the diner she went, settling down at the nearest booth and smiling as the waitress approached. She ordered a sweet tea and waited on him. She wasn't exactly sure how hungry she was.
