Kagome looked up from her book at all her friends having a good time while she was studying for a stupid exam. She looked at Inuyasha sitting in a tree and her heart started beating faster like it always does when she's around him or thinking about him. She looked back down at her book. Why do I have to love him? I understand that Kikyo was here first but...I don't know...maybe I should just try to move on. Yeah, that's what I'll do! But...how do I do that? I don't know how to...fall out of love with Inuyasha! As Kagome fretted over her thoughts, a certain half brother of Inuyasha's decided to visit the group.

"Mutt," announced Sesshomaru, walking onto the pathetic scene of friends and a bonfire. His blood had steeped this low, had it? Had his father even known what he was breeding with?
Lips straight and rigid, eyes emotionless and unchanging, Sesshomaru said, "I need your priestess. She will help me find the shards, so I can rid myself of this Naraku. I have given you adequate time, hanyou. I will take her whether or not you comply."

Rin and Jaken were looming in the background, peering over a bush. Staring wide-eyed and with adoration, Rin couldn't help but smile. She'd always felt a certain fondness for Kagome. She was so nice! So pretty! Rin had always secretly wanted a girl around; Lord Sesshomaru was only fun for so long, and Jaken she couldn't stand.

Trash-talking commenced on InuYasha's side of the battle of wit, which Sesshomaru had won upon stepping onto the land. With a flick of his wrist, Sesshomaru sent strands of sharp, bright light at his half sibling. He tore InuYasha's clothing, slightly ripped his flesh, and caused him to bleed.
"I am done with words, InuYasha. I will do much worse to you if your mouth continues to open."

Kagome stood there, mouth hanging open. "Whoa whoa, wait a minute! You can't just take me without my permission!" She was outraged. Who does he think he is?! He can't just waltz in here and do whatever he pleases! She rushed over to Inuyasha and checked his wound, making sure it wasn't too bad before standing up and glaring at Sesshomaru. "I'm not going anywhere with you." To be honest, Kagome was scared of Sesshomaru but she wasn't going to let him come and take her away from her friends.

Inuyasha stepped in front of his friend, blocking her from his brother. He continued shouting at him, and slowly withdrew his Tetsusaiga. He got in a fighting stance, and snarled at his half-brother.

Sesshomaru laughed. He still didn't understand why his blinded father would allow such a disgrace to the family have such a lovely sword. If his brother struck, he would retaliate. He knew he could kill the silly half demon, and rather quickly. He had full blood on his side; Inuyasha did not. Inuyasha did have a shard-seeking mistress, however, and he wanted her.
What he wanted, he would get.

Inuyasha struck at him wildly; Sesshomaru simply hopped into the air and slammed his foot onto the back of Inuyasha's head. Inuyasha slammed into the ground, and, in the same leap, Sesshomaru grabbed the woman my her collar. He yanked her up, held her against his body, and fled.

Sango and Miroku tried desperately to catch up, but the demon was far too quick for them to compete with. He called his dragons, slapped Kagome onto them, and strapped her down.
"Do not struggle. I will kill you."

Kagome wanted to faint. Was Sesshomaru seriously kidnapping her?! She glared at him when he 'ordered' her not to struggle or he'd kill her. She wasn't about to let him boss her around. "Who do you think you are? I don't recall agreeing to working with you and I'm certainly not going to work with someone who threatens to kill me! Just because I can sense the jewel shards doesn't mean I'll help you find them. How do I know you're not going to use the jewel for your own selfish reasons?" She almost couldn't stop the words that were coming out of her mouth. She wasn't stupid, she knew he could kill her in an instant but it just ticked her off so bad that he'd gone about it like this. Her thoughts then went to Inuyasha. I really hope you're okay Inuyasha, please don't come and try to rescue me. I don't want him to kill you....

"I have no need for the Jewel Shards," Sesshomaru said, simply. "I, unlike my brother, am a full youkai. I need not the Shikon Jewel, but I do need Naraku dead."

Rin and Jaken were perched beside the wailing Kagome, staring at her. Jaken looked disgusted and confused, while Rin sat with her head cocked. Naraku was a nasty man, this Rin knew, and he had many of the Sacred Jewel shards. He was growing very strong, and was taking over much of the land. The little girl knew her father-figure needed to kill this Naraku before his power was unmatchable. She also knew this made Sesshomaru as uncomfortable as everyone else was when the infamous Naraku was mentioned.

Sesshomaru was standing, staring ahead at his dragon's destination. His large, taloned fist was clutching their reigns, steering them where they were to go. It was a quiet trip; the wind and weather were calm, Ah and Uhn were silent, Jaken and Rin were not bickering. After the young girl finally got her fill of yelping, Sesshomaru begun enjoying the short fly.
He knew his half-wit brother would be after him soon, but he also knew his half-wit brother could not track his scent through the air.

Kagome was tired of fighting so she calmed down for awhile.

I have to admit, it is nice and peaceful up here in the sky. It's nothing like riding on Inuyasha's back. But really, he didn't have to go through all this trouble.

Kagome rolled her eyes, "I know you're powerful and all but trust me, we need Naraku dead just as much as you do. What I don't understand is why we all couldn't just work together? You apparently don't know how much my friends want Naraku dead as well. He's ruined their lives and they need me in order to finish him. So please, let's just work together." Kagome held her breath waiting for a reply from him.
