Camiel slowly stroked her way through the water. She loved water, it made her feel free and a live. She loved land too, although she was not often allowed to be on it. Her head slowly popped out of the water and she looked at the land. She sighed as she watched the people on the beach. Of course none of them noticed her. They were all too self-absorbed to notice practically anything around them. She waved gently, even though she knew nobody would see, and dove down into the deep blue water again.

Throughout the day, Camiel popped up and down in the water. She noticed that the later the day, the less people there were, but there were a few people who stayed throughout the whole day. She wanted so badly to just swim up to the shore and talk to them, but that was strictly forbidden, so she just sat there in the same spot. This time, though, she stayed up longer than usual. She usually stayed up for a minute or two, but this time, she stayed up for hours and just watched the few remaining people lay in the sun and have fun with eachother.

Gabriel sprints down the beach, glancing back every few seconds. He'd just broken out of the orphanage he was in and was trying not to get caught. He slows to a stop in a semi-secluded area and stops to catch his breath. He closes his gray eyes while he does. He slowly catches his breath and looks around. He hears a slight splash from near the rocks and looks that way, but sees nothing. "Great, Gabe. Now you're hearing things," he mutters aloud.

Cameil was fascinated by the boy, especially because of his sprinting. She wished terribly that she could run, that she had legs. She sighed and looked at her tail. She slowly swam toward shore and closer, closer, closer, she got to him. She sighed and just watched him quietly.

Gabriel coughs a few times. "Yuck. I'm not good at being active." He sighs before glancing over and seeing Cameil. He pauses, not sure what to do. He, while able to see her face, and part of her body, could not see her tail. He chews his lip, debating whether to be social. Deciding to be nice, he waves slightly. "Hello."

Camiel looked around as she avoided eye contact. She finally slowly looked up at him and smiled a little. "Uh...hello..." she said. She avoided eye contact still but looked up at him every once and a while. Never talking to a human before, she hoped it would go well for her.

Gabriel pushes some of his hair out of his eyes. "I'm Gabriel." He also seems to be a bit socially awkward, almost as if he wasn't used to being kind. He, however, has no issue with eye contact, and watches her calmly. He stretches, trying to stop the pain from running before it starts.

Camiel played with her fingers a little and slowly looked up. "I'm Camiel. What are you?" she asked quietly. She was quite shy, mainly because he was human, but she still was interested in him.

"What am I? Race wise, technically human, but I have powers that most don't have. Mainly I can see the future. Is it obvious?" he asks, still not aware of her tail. He stops stretching and sits on his knees.

Camiel smiled and shook her head. "Not at all...If you didn't tell me I would never had known." she said with a little flip of her tail underwater where he couldn't see.

Gabriel nods. "Kay. Just making sure." He shrugs, amused.

Camiel looked up at him awkwardly. She would have come out of the water to talk to him, but she didn't really have a choice. She would show herself and he would know what she really was and maybe not be as nice to her. She remained in her place and sighed.

Gabriel watches her carefully. "Is something wrong?" He fiddles with his hair, trying to smooth it futilely. He gives up after a few minutes.

Camiel nodded quickly and continued sitting. "I'm fine, just jittery." she said with a small smile to reassure him.

Gabriel nods, and tries to think of something to say. He seems to be bad at being social.

Ariana smiled and waved. "I have to go...uhm...be back here, same time tomorrow?" she asked with hopeful eyes.

Gabriel nods. "I will." He watches her leave carefully.

Ariana waited until he left, then she swam out farther and farther until she finally went underwater.

Gabriel wanders around town, trying to find a place to stay.

Ariana swam back down to her small home and went to sleep.
