Hello!

I recently saw an add for Menewsha and decided to peek my nose in!

I must admit I am fairly reserved about joining a posting community, as the only one I have tried in the past has shown to be relatively unfriendly. I kept myself occupied in a community similar to this one for four years, with an avatar worth literal millions of their currency. But yet, I did not make a single friend there. Sad!

I am what could be named a gamer chick. I play anything from FPS (L4D2 nearly daily.) to RPGs (Currently playing through Lunar on the PSP, having adored the original version nearly all my life.) to MMO's (I have a character on FFXI with 6 max job levels, a few characters on Neosteam and have ventured in many others.) to MUDing (I am a chronic mudder. Unless someone is dying, I'm logged into the game any time I'm home.)

I'm a fairly quiet person in general, though it's always easier to blab in text!

I'm hoping this community comes to be more inviting than the one I devoted so many years ans cash to in the past!

I'm totally psyched you guys are friendly enough to reply, lol. As lame as it sounds! Feels kind of embarrassing when you check a place out and people are too busy in cliques to say hello. :D

Neosteam has been eh lately, I don't really play much anymore. Once you get to the 80's the grind is just ugh, oh so painful. TONS of players have left too, so it's kind of a new 'generation' there now. They're nice and fun to play with, but the people I knew are gone. :(

Yeah, that's one thing I'm worried about. I'd hate to see all my friends gone on there.

The men just delude themselves by imagining that every so called female gamer is actually a 40 year old man.

Everyone here is really nice... unlike some of the g*a*i*a pervs out there. ^^;

Playing on FPS games where it's all like little boys who are shouting obscenities is hilarious to reveal you're female to. They're all going off like kids etc, and you kill them and speak up on the mic and get the WHAAAAT. Love it. XD

Yea, G pervs. -.- I have a little sister who got perv'd on there, not very happy. >: (

I'm not fond of the pervs either.

I was never a fan of FPS games. (except for Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles and House of the Dead)
I'm a Survival Horror (Resident Evil/Silent Hill) and platform (Mario, Sonic, Zelda) kind of gamer! xP

Yea, I go for platform a lot, too. I was never really too too into FPS until MW2 and L4D2. I'm reeeeeally bad at MW2, but pretty good at L4D2. I'm the only female in circle of friends/family so I see a lot of those games most. The guys had the new RE last week and beat it in like a night.. XD It was super creepy though.

So far I'm still pretty timid about posting anywhere but fresh meat. The threads in other areas are established and intimidating! Does anyone have any suggestions?

For general chat and whatnot there's The Menewsha Nation. Even if threads have a billion-ty pages they're usually welcoming to new folk dropping in. ^^
