Also known as すぶらしきこの世界(It's A Wonderful World) in Japan, WEWY is a touch-screen based DS game where you, as Neku, fight creatures called "Noise" in what is called the "Reaper's Game." It's an interesting concept. Also extremely addicting. The plot is nice and fresh, the art style is funky, and the overall gameplay is awesome.

It's gotten extremely good reviews if those matter much to you.

And here's the wikipedia article.
en.wikipedia/org/wiki/The_World_Ends_with_You

Anyone else play/think the game is awesome?

When I saw little models for it in my uncle's Hobby Japan a few months ago I know I wanted to play it right away. Unfortunately I do not own a DS and my parents would kill me if I bought one (I only bought my PSP four months ago) but I might cave when I head back to school and just not tell them.

Yahtzee did a review on it for Zero Punctuation. xD

It looks okay, but I'm not huge on JRPGs other than Final Fantasy.

My boyfriend has been playing this game and keeps talking about how awesome it is. I may have to load it onto my nds card to try it out. The idea that it is touch-based appeals to me because it reminds me of Lost Magic which made using the touchpad really fun.

The only real problem i have with this game that is if you don't know someone else with it you can't get mingle exp which prevents you from getting some pins, thus you can't can't get a 100% file on your own.
Yeah i know you could always run across aliens, but not enough to fully level all those pins like you need. I'm all for games being 'co-op' but this is just punishing players that don't have friends with DS.

I LOVE this game. It's so ridiculously addicting. The battle system itself is something you just wanna do over and over. Neku was such an ASS at the beginning, but I was hearting him near the end of it. D:

I'm actually hoping there will be a sequel just because I enjoyed this game so much.

Best game ever. I never thought they could beat Kingdom Hearts...but this game is made of win. It's style and music totally allow the stuff I'm into to be cooler with the type of people I hang out with. It's a really awesome game with a very realistic concept.

My favorite thing is messing around with fashions that are in style. The only down side is that the lolita is difficult to get to the top because I don't have any pins. Anyone know what noise might drop one? I want to make it popuplar so my clothes can get a boost.

Also, the person below me gets a mission to complete! Name your favorite player and then reaper. Fail and face...um....uncoolness!/nerd

Seriously one of the best games I've ever played. But I have a hard time saying it's my favorite game because it's pretty much everyone's favorite game if they've played it. Just like how I can't call Sho my favorite character because everyone loves him. :<

Take no shame in saying it's your favorite game. It really is an amazing game with an amazing concept, battle system, characters, everything. But yes, everyone does love Pi-Face... doesn't stop me from saying I love him too. XD Joshua is mainly my favorite though, right up next to Hanekoma and Neku. I also really like Beat... and Higashizawa (I am not sure why XD doom pudding~!) Agh, I love this game too much. I've beaten it already and am currently collecting my last week of secret reports. x3 Weee~

I loved it!
I especially enjoyed changing the outfits and look of the main character.
Yeah, I'm weird like that.
I liked the similar art work/character design that they used in the Kingdom Hearts Series, it was just altogether fun to play in it's simplicity, yet at some times difficulty as well.

Not sure any of that made any sense, but yeah, that's my opinion.
xDD

afsfasfas *seizure*
The other day on google, I came across the picture for that game, I didn't know what it was back then - but I thought it looked awesome and insanely similar to the Kingdom Hearts art.
"I MUST HAVE ITTT!" I says, but I didn't even know what, where, or when that game was going to be released.
Now that I have the wiki article, I'm already drooling over it. I haven't even got a DS. XD

I just beat it last night. It was pretty awesome. X3 I was gonna go through and collect everything but my sister wanted to play so she started over. I only managed to get half of the pins. DX

A note to anyone who hasn't beaten it. Make sure your sound is on during the end sequence because Beat talks and there are no subtitle. I had the sound off so I wouldn't disturb my sister. I turned it up to hear what music was playing and found out he was talking half-way through. :o

I absolutely love TWEWY. At first, it seemed weird, but after a while, it is super addicting.

I adore this game.
I love the music and the art style is lovely.
My favourit character is Josh Josh, he's the funniest posh kid everrr x]
I also like the Reaper Kariya, he's pretty cool.
I have to say though that the last week creeped me out ever so slightly...
I'm now on "Another Day" and it's so funny 8]

It got me wanting to play all my other games on the DS but they'll never be as cool as TWEWY so...

I've never been so wowed by a game on a portable system before. Square Enix treated it as if it was a regular console game. I just finished the game a few nights ago and absolutely loved the ending. Great game and completely addictive. I'm thrilled that there is more to do after you've completed the story-line. And I love that they followed in the vein of Kingdom Hearts by putting in the 'reports' to collect. I've always liked that kind of thing.
Favorite character? Kariya. He was so layed-back and lazy. I can totally identify. XD
The only thing that I didn't like about the game is that we didn't get to see a lot of Rhyme. I thought she was great.

Twethereal: Rhyme was so sweet ^^
Have you started "Another Day" yet? [the extra episode]
She's really odd in that, I feel really sorry for Beat-even though he annoys me D8

No, I haven't gotten quite that far yet. I'm going through all of it again to get the reports starting from the beginning. I just started the 7 days with Joshua. I'll probably have the whole thing done soon at the rate I'm going though. XD
Yeah, Beat was... weird. The way he talked was kind of annoying, but I found myself cracking up at him quite a few times. ^_^

Ah cool.
I think it was his "Bwaaah!" thing that got me the most e.e
'specially when he did it several times in a row >.<
I love Josh, although I thought he was pretty sucky at fighting to begin with, before he started zapping things from the sky x3

Yeah, that got me too. But I love it when you feed him something he likes and he says "It's like a party in my mouth!" He's no where near my favorite, but he had his moments. Just not too many of them... XD

Josh is pretty cool. I'm looking forward to playing his part of the game over again now that I know more things. ^_^

I think Neku was my favorite of the main characters though. We got to see him grow a lot over the game. Plus, I'm taking a "Human Relations" class and I kept noticing how his behavior kind of went along with what we were learning at the time.
See? Nobody can ever say now that video games don't help you with school! ^^
