Jade, a sweet 17 year old perky blonde sat at the institution of learning paying no attention to the teacher. Her mind was easily distracted and she couldn't focus. Everyone else sat around her paying attention not fidgiting or aberting their gaze from the speaker. As much as she tried she just couldn't zone in on the worda being spoken she needed other things to happen. She wasn't like everyone else. She had more then a one track mind, she learned faster and retained the information. Last she didn't believe everyone was one person. As it was believed now every mind was alike, ever want was mutual, ever choice was made together. No one was ever alone in anything the did. Anyone who didn't follow rules, or was differend will not live here past their 18th year.
(ok done)

Darren ditched class with Mr. Freeman, the literature teacher at 2nd hour. The institution of learning was a strict place, so she was pleased with getting out for a "bathroom break." Although Mr. Freeman knew that Darren was up to something, he seemed to let her go. Maybe it was the fact that she was always thinking up something to do that didn't involve listening to a older teacher.
Mr. Freeman was the same as all the rest of the male teachers. And all the female teachers were alike. And most of the students, who wanted to not be punished..well they were the same too. Everything was the same. Same cloths, same additude, same learning style, and most of all, they all "loved" each other.
Darren didn't like this. The same was plain...boring...dull...old. What would happen if people just thought the same things. The life on this planet would be gone, right? Well, Darren was more stubborn that anyone on this pitiful, blue planet filled with 75% water.
Now the part where when you turn eighteen was a big issue coming up in Darren's life. She had a month to go until...well..she left this big, blue planet, or so the adults, who happened to follow this sameness world-wide rule, said. There was no way she could just become someone she wasn't. That didn't agree with her mind. She was born to be different...to be a rebel of the world around her.
"Come on, Jade. Where are you? I told you to come." Darren mumbled outloud next to the dirty, old janitor's room down the west wing, second floor. The institute was a dull, three story building, just like every building, in the same looking towns, and same world. Somewhere where you just want to take a match and burn the stupid thing down.

"That's not true! Everyone doesn't think the same. What are you talking about?! I don't think the same. I'm not like any of you brainless copies. I don't like listening to you speaches on nothing at all. You've just repeated the same thing over and over again. People with a mind would notice that like I did. It's not interesting. I haven't learned a thing. And for your information I do know about the past. I've learned about it on my own and I don't know about you but it's nothing at all like what you're saying now." Jade screamed at her history professor.
"Get out of my classroom now!" The professor said keeping calm and pointing at the door. Every student had their eyes on her with the same brainless expression they always had. "Fine, don't expect me to come back." She mumbled standing up and walking with her head held high out the door to where Darren was standing.
She didn't plan on going back to class. It wouldn't make a difference at this point. They already where deciding who would live here. It wouldn't be easy to change their minds at this point. "Hi Darren." She said trying to force a positive attitude.

Darren was staring at a poster about the new world they were in. It said "Same is better." Compared to the past, this was shit. Everything was the same thing, different day. You learn about the same things too.
Jade and her did research on the internet while the parents weren't paying attention. On the past. The difference of generations? Well, that was a different time. The difference of it was that in the past, everyone wanted to be the same. But everyone was different. Teachers told students to be who they want to be, who you are, and not to change your image just for other people.
Judging by the expression on Jade's face, she didn't look to happy. Was she just trying to get out, or did they just dissagree and get into a quick arguement? What happened? "You don't look like you had a good day in History. Did the professor tell you to get out again?"
It seemed like this was happening every week now. This little "Darren and Jade are abnormal. They need to get out of this class," thing every teacher seemed to be doing. At this rate, one of them, or both, might be getting expeld. The teachers did not agree to this. The robot additudes were getting to be too much.

"Kinda....well he was saying all people we alike and always had been....blah blah blah.... I couldn't take it anymore. He kept repeating the same thing over and over and over and over again. I swear I was going to die. I kinda got annoyed because no one notice beside me they were all just watching blankly. I kinda yelled at him and he told me to get out of his classroom" Jade said frowning. Darren knew her way to well.
Maybe if the teachers didn't hate them both so much things would be different. But just like everyone else 'Different was bad.' The thing was no one knew what being different was they all were the same...they always had been. It was generations and generations ago where the people changed the way they were and ended up being the same.
Not one person knew how to be different anymore. It was quite sad...Darren and her had done research countless times. They belonged back when people were different. That's where they would fit in. Too bad that couldn't be now. They were both dead...

[TOO SORRY. I must have checked this a while ago, was going to post, got to lazy and forgot about it. So sorry for holding you up on this. No wonder why I thought everyone was ignoring my posts. err.]
"Wow, what an ass..and a liar." Darren thought for barely a second when she came up with a fun idea. "So since I'm skipping class, and you got kicked out, want to get out the hell out of this place?" Darren smiled offering her, with the keys held up as if trying to see if she would give in if she said no. "It'll be fun!" Darren always loved getting out of school, most kids didn't do it, but they weren't normal, so what would really stop them. People would try, but never would get too.
Her favorite spot on days they skipped was the East Wood Park, second was Kinley beach . East Wood Park had an amazing hill with swings that overlooked the clear, aqua watered Kinley Beach. If you swung high enough, you could catch a view of the whole city. In the old days, no one cared enough for their beaches or water sources. It was sad. Darren was more of a nature lover, and that was one thing she liked about this "we're all the same" life. People took care of the life on earth, plants, water creatures, whatever that looked like it needed something to live.

{lol. It's okay. Don't worry about it.}
"No...Darren. I don't want to get into trouble again. Why can't we just stay here and you go to class. I should be the one in trouble not you." Jade said looking around half expecting a teacher to be there. Since there wasn't...what did she have to lose? There was nothing she would miss. But they weren't suppose to leave school grounds. Although she knew where Darren would take her....Really they shouldn't disobay people, but East Wood Park was so nice....
"Fine I'll go..." She whispered looking at Darren. "Let's go. I'm leaving my shoes here though." She pulled off her white heels that looked almost like something everyother person would try to wear and threw them into the woods where they wouldn't be seen. Turning she looked at Darren again grinning. Very glad her dress only went to her knees. "I'll Race you." She giggled and sprinted her fastest across the school grounds ahead of Darren. She almost made it to the edge of the grounds when the head master walked by and stood staring at her. She gasped and tripped over a rock falling flat on her face. Hopefully Darren was behind her. The head master scared her....

Darren followed behind her with mouth open. "You're totally going to lose." It was bad enough that she had a head start, but then in several seconds she could see her friend stopped in front of her a few yards ahead. It was the old wrinkley lady of the west. Okay, the headmaster, but still. "What the hell. Run around her." Darren stopped for a second then ran again catching Jade's arm.
They ran until the got into Darren's convertable. It was a crimson red. That was one of her favorite colors. Noticed a lot but not favorited enough. Of course, everyone had their own favorite colors and favorite foods, but that was basically it. Only the colors weren't the same or the foods that others liked. Of course they kept the foods to a miminum now.

Stumbling after Darren, Jade jumped into her car and brushed the dirt off her dress. She looked over at her friend and decided not to say anything about the headmistress. Instead complaining about her car. "I wish your car was orange, it would be so much more fun. Red is sooooo last year." She stuck her toung out. As different as favorite colors could be girls tended to stick in the purple and pink family while boys stayed with blues and greens. Although they varied from lime green to navy blue and Hot pink to lilac. Red and orange were two of the very different colors. They drove by her orange punch buggy sitting in the parking lot with the top up so it looked like everyone elses care...sort of. The orange standed out and the fact it was the only punch buggy.
"So what are we going to do today, besides get almost cought by the headmistress and thrown out of class/ditching." Jade asked giggling softly. she loved her best friend no matter how much she hated her at the same time.
