I think you know the basic plot already, so I'm going to create the character skeleton.

Here's my character:

Character's Name: Demitri Kite
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Race:Vampire
Bio: Relativly young, he still has another thousand or so years goin for him. He beleives that you cant change the past and you cant predict the future, so the idea of either of them are useless. He had no parents he can remember. In fact, he doesn't know much about himself at all.
Personality: Overall a happy person. He states his mind, even if it gets him in trouble. He's facinated with the stars and the night sky. He isn't used to other people.
Weapons/Powers: Pretty much invincible, accept for a steak in the heart (a wooden one, that is.), he carries around the sword excaliber with him (yes, THE excaliber.) which can cut through anything. Oh, and if he bites you, he can either kill you that instant or make you a vampire depending on how he bites you. Other then that, typical vampire powers.
Appearence:
Other: Crosses, bells, garlic, sunlight, all that doesn't work on him. In fact, garlic is one of his favorite foods.

Race: Human
Bio: Both her parents were killed before she turned 10 years old. Her father has been training her to kill vampires ever since she could walk. Now. She's dedicated to exterminating all vampires that she could find to avenge her parents deaths.
Personality: Can be cold sometimes. But when she actually gets to know someone, she can really open up.
Weapons/Powers: Good old fashion wooden stake
Appearence:
Other: Likes to write down her thoughts, like in a journal. She carries it with her everywhere.

Here goes....

Cold was all Demitry could feel. Constant cold falling on him in the form of raindrops. Each one felt as it was biting him as he tried to keep himself warm beneath his dark tattered cape, which was wrapped around his body. His sword was in his left hand. It didn't have a sheath because it cut anything that came in contact with it.
So there he was, walking miserably in the rain. He had been walking for what felt like ages, trying to get to the next town. His eyes widened when he nearly walked into someone pointing a wooden steak at him. "Uh, can I help you?" He stammered under the roar of the rain.

Kairi narrowed her eyes at him through the rain. The cold rain didn't seem to bother her any as the drops slid over her eyes. She pushed the water from her face and a small smirk appeared on her face.
She had just about given up on finding a vampire tonight when he happened to walk up. This was good for her. Not so much for him.
"It's time for you to die. Evil vampire." she growled, jabbing the stake towards the area where his heart should be.

But the only thing the wooden steak stabbed was empty air. Demitri had moved behind her, sword at the ready. "What the heck are you talking about, I have never seen you in my life." A streak of lightning flashed across the sky, lighting up his attacker's face. It's just a girl... He thought.

Kairi spun around quickly. "I don't care! All vampires deserve to die!" she exclaimed, stabbing at him again. 'He's fast...' she thought. 'But that won't stop me from killing him!'

Demitri blocked her blow with his blade, slicing the wooden steak halfway down the middle. "Are you bloody mad?!" He exclaimed, taking a step back. "Deserve to die?! What did I ever do to you?!"

Kairi stared in shock at her now ruined stake. "Not you. Your entire kind! They all deserve to die!" She exclaimed angrily. But despite this, she took a step back, away from him. Her only weapon was basically ruined and she needed to get back to her house to get another stake.

"No one deserves to die." Demitri said, lowering his blade. "You have no right to decide who dies." She has a lot of anger inside her..... He thought, staring at the shadowy figure of his attacker.

"Vampires deserve to die. Evil creatures. They never should have been created." Kairi growled. How dare he say whether or not people should die. For crying out loud, he's a vampire himself. She was sure he killed plenty of people.

"Alright then, riddle me this." Demitri stabbed excalibar in the ground. "Why don't I just kill you right now. Your defenceless, I have a weapon of great power. If I were evil, you would be dead." Demitri folded his arms. The bite of the rain was coming back in the absence of the adrenaline rush he had gotten from the fight.

Kairi was silent as she thought this over. He did have a point. She sighed. "Ok then. Kill me." she said, holding her arms out, making an easier target. "Get it over with."

Demitri pulled the sword out of the ground and laid the flat of the blade on his shoulder. He wrapped his cape around him, trying to stay warm, turned, and walked off. Back to shivering in the rain.... He thought as he walked away from the stranger.

Kairi narrowed her eyes at him. How dare he walk away from her?! She sighed and shivered, the rain finally affecting her. 'I'll get him a different night....' she thought as she turned around. She squinted through the rain and headed off towards her house, eager to dry off.

The town's two miles away, I'm not getting there tonight..... Demitri thought. He walked over to a large rock under a tree and sat down, trying to stay dry. "Looks like I'm stuck." He said to himself, watching the white streaks of rain fly by the dark background of the sky. He shivered a couple times. Hunched over, with his cape still wrapped around him, he looked at his blade. How many times have you saved my life... He thought, staring at the inscription. On one side it said 'Pick me up'. Demitry flipped it over, careful not to cut his hand. The other side said 'cast me away'. "Still have no clue what that means..."

Kairi pulled her bike away from the tree it was parked under. 'Better hurry home....' she thought, hopping on. 'Don't want to get sick.' She took a deep breath and started peddling towards her house as fast as she could. Still being careful not to wreck though.

Demitri was very tired. He hadn't slept in three days, he has been walking the whole time. So it was no surprise when he fell asleep in that position. Excalaber was the last thing he saw before he entered the world of nightmares.

Kairi got home and sighed as she opened her door. Where did that vampire get such a powerful sword? She'd have to do better next time. And bring more stakes. Lots of them. She grabbed a towl and dried her wet hair as much as she could before she changed into her nightgown. Time for bed.

Demitri awoke to the sound of bicycle gears and chain. He sat up, focusing on the sound. The sun was up, not a cloud in the sky. He still held Excalaber in his hands. He groaned as he stood up, stretching. That's probably that girl back to "kill" me agian... he thought, yawning.

He was wrong. This time it just happened to be a small child riding past on her bike. Her older brother not far off. She stopped and looked at him. "Excuse me mr. Are you ok?" she asked, tilting her head slighlty.

Blinked a few times to correct his vision. "Uh, ya, I'm alright." He said, smiling at the little girl. At least she isn't trying to kill me.... He thought, leaning back.

"You sure?" she asked. She looked at him for a second before her eyes landed on the sword. "Wow! Where'd you get that!?" she asked excitedly. Her brother pulled up next to her and narrowed his eyes at Demitri. "Come on Sis. I don't like the looks of this guy." he said, pulling lightly on her handlebars. "Aw! Bu-"
"No buts. Let's go." he said. They rode off into the distance.

Demitri sighed and looked down at his blade. This is everyone's usual reaction. "Why does the world hate me so much..." He said, as if the sword would answer. But as usual, it remained silent.

That was when Kairi woke up. She whined as she looked at the clock. Time for school... Why'd it have to be today? She had a vampire to kill. She sighed as she got up and got dressed. Might as well get this over with.

Demitri decided it was time to get moving. He stood up and leaned the flat of the sword on his shoulder. Two miles, a couple hours.... he thought. He couldn't move that fast last night, but now that he was rested, he darted off at the twice the speed of a normal man.
