Hello everyone welcome to "Bringing the Pieces Back Together: A House of Night Role-play". This is a role-play based on the book series "The House of Night" by P.C. and Kristen Cast. For those of you who don't know the series, here is a link about it.


House of Night Series

This role-play will be headed by LeBlanc and IllusionsofLyssa.

In this role-play we will be starting from the end of the currently released book "Tempted" and continuing on as if it was "Burned" the next book in the series (coming out 4/27/2010). Please make sure to read the rules so you are aware of how everything is going to be run.

The Rules:

The basic rules are as follows:

1) Follow the rules of the site. This is Menewsha's site first and foremost, so we must follow their rules.

2) This is a 100% literate role-play. No chat, AIM, or such lingo should be used unless there is a specific purpose for it within the role-play

3) Each person is allowed up to 2 characters. Stock or original, it is your choice.

4)This series is starting from where "Burned" ,the 7th book in the series starts from. Here is the information on that in-case you need catching up.

5) Everything that has happened up until this point in the actual written works, still applies here. It's all the same folks! So don't go changing any back story or who is alive and dead.

6) No plagiarizing. I know this is already specified in Menewsha's regular rules, but just in case your tempted to do it anyway...Don't. Please give credit where it belongs and post direct quotes into a quote bubble.

7) PM either VisionsofLyssa or I with your application. Rather than having the applications get lost within the actual role-play, we will have a spot where all accepted applications will be posted with the character information.

Character Appearance: I am a teenage girl with a strong Cherokee ancestry thanks to my grandma. My hair is straight and black colored, like the wings of a raven. Topping it all off, I have strong hazel eyes, high cheekbones, what people call a strong nose, and a wide mouth filled with a lovable smile.


Character Personality/Attitude: I am definitely a girl who loves life and loves everything that I have been given/blessed with from Nyx. The boys are an issue that I face head on since I believe everyone needs to have their time and be dealt with. I hate people who use others, including me. I love what I love and I hate what I hate, end of story. No changing my mind on things.

Character Appearance: I am a teenage girl, with short blonde hair. It is slightly curly and sometimes a major mess. My eyes are blue and a lot of people say they are really big, almost big enough to see into my soul (if I thought I still had one). My face is round and I see myself as more of a cute girl, and less of a (overly obnoxious, shopping loving, put down hating, goddess fearing) hottie.

Character Personality/Attitude: I have a strong okie accent when I talk (at least in my head there is no accent). I have a very strong connection to my friends and I would do anything for them. Especially Zoey and the goddess Nyx after all they have done to help and save me. I like helping others and I will never turn away someone who asks for help (and sometimes someone who doesn't ask for help, like the other red fledglings).

Species: Ex-Fledgling. She is now human but remains respected in the vampire community for her "pesky" visions.

Likes:Shopping, showing off, cute boys, Darius <3, Gossip Girl, being in control, Nyx, and Zoey Redbird (right now)

Dislikes:Neferet, Kalona, Sucky Visions, Stevie Rae (most of the time), Girls prettier than me, and cheap clothes

Character Appearance:Aphrodite is simply GORGEOUS! She has ice blue eyes (that Zoey mistook for a lack of emotion) and light blond hair that she wears pin-straight and past her shoulder. She is taller than Zoey and loves to accentuate with heals. Her appearance and body are so glamorous that she could be an actress.

Character Personality/Attitude:Aphrodite is a "hag from hell" and has no plans to change any time soon. She is simply the biznotch in the group of friends. She once ruled the school and still holds the same ego that went along with it.

Character Appearance:All the girls have one word for Stark: Hot. He has shaggy, chestnut hair and deep brown eyes. He has red, arrow-shaped tattoos around his face since he is a full red vampire. He is clearly athletic in build and has strong muscles from his archery skills.

Character Personality/Attitude:Stark is a very serious and reserved character. He is often described as mysterious because not much is known about him. However, he is truly loyal to Zoey and can sometimes be cocky.

Character Personality/Attitude: Her personality is kind of cold and uncaring at first. But when you get to know her she is very sweet. She will protect anyone in need but gets super protective over her friends and loved ones.

Pitch black darkness met Zoey Redbird when she opened her eyes. She was aware that she had something around her. She was not floating, and she could feel solid ground under hear body. She was in a laying position with her arms and legs spread eagle around her. She allowed her hands to trace her body trying to make some connections. She could tell from what she felt that she was wearing what seemed like a Roman toga meets comfy pajama robe. It went down to her knees and her she was bare foot. Sitting up she groped the floor around her feeling nothing but a flat surface.

"Where...where am I now?" She spoke out loud and her voice sounded funny. This room must be large because she could hear her voice echoing for a long time before finally falling away into the darkness. IT was also strange for her to not be able to see into the darkness around her. She had always been talented at seeing into the night once she had been marked. Now she felt as helpless as a human again.

"Try and remember what happen Zoey!" She spoke to herself, probably just so she could hear something in the complete silence and not lose her mind. "THINK!" She remembered the counsel, something being wrong with Heath and then finding him in Kalona's grasp. That's right! She found him just as Kalona had ended his life, snapping his neck and dropping him to the ground like a rag doll or some child's toy that he had grown bored of. Then everything had gone blank. She remembered falling to the ground and feeling empty before the whole world and everything else in her went black. For a few moments she allowed herself to go empty again. Her mind thinking of nothing but Heath, his broken body, his life ending so soon, and her being to late to do anything to help him. It felt like one thousand pounds was pressing itself down on her chest. It became hard to breathe and she wanted to cry. Then she realized something.

There was something else! Something else happened before I woke up here...I know it!!! She wracked her brain again and again trying to remember what happened between everything going black and now, waking up in the black. Her head was beginning to hurt she was thinking so hard. Then it all began flooding back, like the gate on the dam had spilled open.

Keith, the sunny river spot, asking about if she was dead or not. Then she choked up thinking about the rest. She didn't want to leave him. She wanted to stay with him in this place forever. But he wouldn't let her. He told her she had to go and live. That the world needed her. It was his time, but not hers.

"WHY DID THIS HAPPEN!?!! NY-HHHHXXX!!!!!" She was now crying thru her screams of anger and pain. "WHY AM I SUPPOSED TO LIVE WHILE HE DIES?!?!" She raised herself up to her knees and turned her head to what she assumed was the sky and continued to cry. After a few minutes, her eyes ran dry, her breathe caught and she fell to all fours, crying dry tears for her fallen love.

She knew this was wrong. She knew that she should be back there. Helping to stop Neferete and Kalona. Being by Stark's side, helping Darius, Aphrodite, Stevie Ray and the others, being their high preistess. But this pain was to much. She began feeling selfish and didn't want to continue.

"No!" She straightened out. "I have to. It's not about me any more. It's about everyone else and saving the world from evil." She laughed at her comment with an unhumored chuckle, feeling like she would never be happy again, no joke held any humor anymore.

[i][ I have to find my way out of here.[/i[ She began groping around on all fours. The floor felt like some kind of new linoleum floor tile that would have been on the floor of a new kitchen or a classroom. It was cool to the touch, but not so cold that she shivered or felt like she needed to be warmed. After moving moving a few feet forward, she felt cloth find her hands and when she gave it a light pull, she found it was attached to something.

"Stark? Aphrodite? Stevie Ray? Are you guys there?" She began following the cloth until she was standing. It was a table cloth , and ti was on a table. Groping she found a candelabra on the table long with matches and a few other things. Nyx, what is this? She reached for the matches and the first candle as she felt the Goddess reach her conscious.

"This table is me trying to help you my child. You are now in the nothing, and it is up to the others now to help you. Not you helping them." Zoey felt confused. And immediately the Goddess answered her. "Your true self has been scattered across the world. Your being shattered into pieces from having to watch the death of your imprint. Don't fear, don't worry. Allow them to search." She could feel Nyx's touch on her face, but could not see her or sense anyone in front of her. "Just relax and try and remember who you are and everything that has happened to you. By everything, I mean your entire life child. Otherwise you might find them suddenly hard to call back and then eventually gone. Such is this place, nothing. I will do what I can to help you. But even I cannot keep a great pull here." She could already hear Nyx's voice getting fainter and fainter.

Silently she thanked Nyx for everything by sending up a prayer to her and again began trying to light the first candle and then the rest. Remembering what her hand on her face had felt like and hoping that someone would come for her or try and get to her soon.


((Just so you guys know, BOLD AND ITALIC together is the Goddess Nyx speaking. You can use her in your post as an NPC if your character has the ability to hear/see her, but don't abuse it. Thanks!))
