Amnesia

"H..hello?" Was all he could get out. Nothing made sense. Where was he? Why was he here? Why did he have a cast on his right leg? And who was he? He looked around the room that he woke in. It looks like a hospital... He thought. The walls where as white as snow. There was a television in the corner, and a small picture of a bowl of fruit beside his bed. Apart from the picture frame, the only other decoration was a vase with a single red rose inside. He wondered why there were no cards, no flowers, nothing. He wondered why nobody had visited him. As he concentrated, it dawned on him. Who was he? There were drip's attached to his arm, and a feeding tube attached to his stomach. He felt so weak, and yet so confused. Trying to concentrate he shouted towards the doorway, that was open, and seemed to be leading in to a large corridor. "HELP ME! HELLO!...SOMEBODY HELP ME!"

Suddenly a large man came running in to the room. He looked like an important person. A doctor he supposed, with a well shaved face and ahort blonde curtained hair. He looked anxious when he heard the gentleman call. "Its ok. I'm here. Everythings going to be ok..."
"Whats going on?! Where am i??"
"Your safe. Your at the hospital. You've just woken up from a coma, so just relax, its perfecty normal to feel confused when you first wake up. Can you tell me your name?"
The gentleman in the bed was getting afraid. He didn't have a clue what was going on. All he knew was that he wanted some answers.
"What? What am i doing here?? Why can't i remember anything!?" The man was shouting now, he was terrified, and he didn't understand why his memory was blank. He kept trying to concentrate but he just couldn't think. He couldn't even remember his name, and it terrified him.
"You have to help me!!" He pleaded with the Doctor.
"I will do everything i can. I promise. But you have to calm down. Think hard. What is the last thing you remember, before waking up here?"
The gentleman tried to sit up in his bed but he was too weak. The Doctor pushed him back down and repeated his question. He tried to concentrate but no memories were coming to him. He couldn't remember a thing. He was terrified, but he decided to try and calm down. He was close to dispair now, and he felt his cheeks turn wet with tears.
"Why can't i remember anything? Why won't you tell me who i am?"
The doctor placed a comforting hand on the gentlemans shoulder and replied.
"Because we don't know who you are. You were found in a field 3 weeks a go close to death. Your right leg was broken and your head was badly brused. It looked like you had been attacked. You've been here ever since. We've tried everything to find out who you are, but until we do, and until we find your family, you will be here with us."
The gentleman tried to take it all in, but found it hard to contain his tears. He was trully terrified, and he felt so alone, and the doctor felt it in himself.
"You will be ok sir. You won't be alone. We have a few volunteers at this hospital and they are here to help people like you. Quite often when patients wake from a trauma such as yours, they suffer something called Amnesia, which can make it difficult to remember what has happened. It can even wipe your memory all together. We hope that if you rest for a while and talk to some of our volunteers this memory will come back. So don't worry."
The gentleman replied.
"So, my memory will come back?"
"We hope so. But as with everything, not everybody gets their memory back. You have to be prepared for anything. Just rest for now. And i'll come back later. If there is anything you need. Just push this button, and somebody will be here to help"
The doctor passed the gentleman a control and showed him which button to pressed, and then he left the room. The man was alone now. Totally alone....

"Miss Wakanda, would you please for the last time get your hair out of your face?" A rather plump nurse said, a frustrated sigh escaping her lips as she looked up from a pile of folders that were on the desk in front of her.

'Miss Wakanda' as she was also called was laughing while talking to the other nurses stood around her, her sitting on the counter top. The hospital had gotten over that issue seeing as they didn't keep anything on there, but apparently they didn't like her dark hair constantly falling in her eyes. Catching her breath she looked back over to the heavy set nurse and said, "Sorry Ana."

Brushing her choppy bangs out of her eyes she looked back at the nurses before saying, "Well I should probably go find Doc. Andersen to see if there is anyone that needs to be seen right now." The other nurses didn't seem to mind as they waved her off, continuing their joking amongst the now smaller group.

Looking down at herself the girl tugged at her tattered jean shorts as her eyes then fell to her worn converse, other than that she had a tank top on. Any other day she would still be at her family's farm helping out with the horses, but she took on a volunteer position at a hospital because it just seemed to be the right thing to do.

After making sure that her shorts hadn't rode up any she turned sending her dark brown, almost black hair fluttering around her shoulders. She could hear the disapproving sigh coming from Ana but paid it no mind. There were no rules saying her hair couldn't be down so she was convinced that the nurse was just jealous that her blonde bob wasn't nearly as fun as her midback hair.

She had almost a slight skip in her step as she found the well shave-ed man exiting a room, an almost depressed look on his face. "Is there anyone that you would like me to see Doc?" She asked as her skipping came to a hault beside the male, his nose deeply rooted into a patients file.

His eyes lifted from the pages and seemed to light up when he saw the girl. "Ah, Tala, he said, a smile coming to his face. "In fact there is. There's a boy in this room, he just woke up from a coma and doesn't want to be alone. Would you mind keeping an eye on him for us?" He asked as he pointed to the closed door that he had just come out of.

"Of course Doc," Tala said in response as she turned on her heel, her converse no longer holding the grip to squeak anymore. She let herself into the room, closing the door behind herself not bothering to ask the doctor anything else about him. She liked going in not knowing anything about the patients, it made the meetings more even leveled. The smile was still on her face and shown threw her dark brown eyes as she turned around to see whom it was need company.

"Aiden?" She asked confused as the joyous look seemed to fall from her face, replaced by the same confusion that filled her words. "Aiden Wate what are you doing here?" She asked not fully remembering what the doctor had told her. She walked up to his bed, pulling the chair beside it closer so she could talk to him. She never got on the beds with any of the patients, that was weird and Doc Andersen didn't really appreciate it.

Once she sat down she tilted her head slightly as she waited for him to respond. In doing so her dark hair cascaded over a shoulder, her fringe bangs finally falling out of her eyes. She could have secured her hair with one of the many hair ties that were around her wrist but she never did, not in the cool hospital though. When she would leave and got back into the muggy air she would, just not now.

((That's ok, post as much as you like XP))

The boy looked up at the girl with the dark hair sat next to his bed. She must be the volunteer the doctor was talking about He thought.
"What? Is that some kind of name you've made up for me?" He replied. It probably sounded ruder than intended, but he in a sombre mood. The girl was looking at him as if she recognised him. Why would she know who he was when the Doctor told him nobody does. Nobody knows who i am He thought. He looked away from the girl, as he felt a tear coming down his face again. Trying to compose himself he spoke again. "Sorry...i just..." He sighed and let her speak. He didn't know what to say....he just didn't want to be alone.

Tala shook her head not taking any offense to what the male had said. It was obvious that he had been through a lot and the doctor saying that he had no memory it made sense that he was acting the way he was. "No, no," she said, a sad smile on her face. "I'm Tala, Tala Wankada?" She tried hoping that maybe her name would help trigger something. After pausing for a moment she said,

"We met at a 'Sick Puppies' concert." She held up her wrist to show the wrist band that was still secured around it. She stood up slightly, leaning on his bed and over him to look at his left wrist. "See?" She said as she held up his wrist, it still had the wrist band on it.

Her face pinked slightly as to the fact that she had remembered that they had them on alternating wrists because she had found him attractive and if the held hands their wrist bands out have been next to each other. Tala quickly sat back down, tucking her hair nervously behind her ear. It was a foolish thing to think, her head was always in the clouds thinking about one fantasy or another. It had been a wonder that she had done well in school at all.

"So you don't remember any of that?" She asked, her voice calming a bit as she tried to change the subject before her mind popped in more senarios that caused her to make a fool of herself in front of the boy.

Aiden looked carefully at the wristbands they both wore. She was obviously telling the truth. But he couldn't remember. "I...I'm sorry. It all sounds great. But i don't remember anything. Not even my own damn name. I'm just so confused."Aiden calmed a little knowing he wasn't totally alone in this world. Somebody knew who he was.

"Im Aiden then. Feels sort of right...erm, did we know each other well?" Aiden was still feeling awful, if only slightly calmed by the presence of Tala. He was glad he had somebody to talk to, but he couldn't help but feel bad that he didn't remember her, but it dawned on him. Until his memory came back, that would be happening alot, if his memory came back at all...of course. Aiden tried to sit up again, but he felt a sharp pain come from his chest so he set back down. Guess i broke a few ribs too...what happened to me? Aiden suddenly thought, which brought back the fear with it. The doctor said he was attacked. What if the attacker comes looking? What if the attacker pretends he's my friend too? He could be anybody... Feeling uneased by the thoughts consuming his mind he tried to block them out and looked again at his wristband, wondering if it was as fun as Tala made out.

Tala shook her head slightly at Aiden's question. "No," she said, though she had wished she had known him longer than she had. "We met at the concert," she told him leaning back in her chair, thinking back to that night. "Some guys were messin' with me when I went to get something to drink, you were in line behind me and stepped in. They weren't happy," as she spoke she leaned the back of her head on the top of the chair. "You decided it would be best if I stuck around you and your friends considering all mine had bailed out on me before the show."

Shaking her head she looked back at the male in the bed. She never thought that this would be the place that she would see him again, let alone the fact that she was able to see him again. "Those guys watched us and kept an eye on us the whole time. I don't know what their problem was though," she said with a shrug, not sure if what she was saying was helping.

Aiden pondered a while on what Tala had told him. He couldn't remember any of the concert, but he tried to imagine what it might have been like for Tala, being all alone and having guys bother her. It must have been frightening, poor lass He thought.

"Well, i'm glad i was there to help. It can't have been nice being on your own. And im sorry i can't remember you. I guess i just have to wait and see if they come back. Maybe then i'll remember the concert i spent with you, and how the hell i got here"

Aiden managed to pull himself up with a little help from Tala, and as he leaned back on his pillows he wondered why Tala had commented on the guys at the concert watching us. He closed his eyes for a moment and tried to picture the scene. But all he saw was darkness, and it was frightened him. Just one memory, anything...just let me remember he thought.

"How you got here, that I couldn't tell ya though I wish I could," Tala said as she leaned on the edge of her chair so she could prop her elbow up on the bed. Folding her arms she thought as he closed his eyes. "Being alone isn't so bad," she said aloud. "Sometimes it's nice. There's no one to talk and interrupt the sounds nature has to offer." The late teened girl was off in her own little world at this point as she saw images of her horses running through their green fields.

Shaking her head slightly she looked down at the bothered male. His eyes were still shut. Sighing slightly Tala placed a hand carefully on his biscep, careful not to disrupt any of the IVs that were in him. "Well, is there anything that I can do for you or get ya?" She asked hoping that the change of subject might make him a little more talkative. If he talked she didn't feel as bad knowing that she didn't know much about him or how to help him. That's how she was with all of the patients. As long as they talked the dark haired girl could use it to distract them from what was going on or where they were. Or at least she liked to believe she had that sort of power.

Aiden smiled slightly at the touch of Tala's hand on his Biceps. It comforted him, and considering the circumstances, this was an unexpected bonus. He thought to himself about Tala's comment on being alone. It made him think on a more positive note. That maybe if his past has been forgotten, then this would be considered a new leaf. He could discover the world around him all over again, and begin a new life.

As he pondered he felt his eyes grow sleepy, so he replied to Tala. "You'd think after being in a Coma for 3 weeks i'd be a little more awake. But thank you Tala, you have helped. I just think i need some rest, and then maybe tomorrow i'll have enough energy to get out of bed and see something other than white walls. Will you be here?"

Aiden hoped she would be. To say the least, Tala was a very beautiful young lady. And she seemed to be of a similar age to himself. He couldn't see a disadvantage to having her around. She was the only friend he had, after all.

Tala smiled at what he said, she had heard other coma patients say something about being tired and she always found it refreshing. It opened her eyes too, knowing that when you were like that you weren't building up sleep or anything. "Yeah, I'll be here," she said as she stood up looking down at the boy. She pulled her phone out of her pocket, it was nearing time for her to leave.

"Is there anything else I can get you before I go?" She asked as she ran her hands across the backside of her jean shorts as if brushing off any dirt. It was more of a habitual action especially when considering that she hadn't been sitting on anything dirty. A part of her felt bad though. This kid had so much going for him, he was attractive, kind, smart, there was nothing he couldn't have done and now, now all this. Tala had to help him get his memory back, she would do anything to see that happen.

"No, i think im ok. I just need some real sleep. Im kind of hoping i dream a few memory's, but then, how will i know its real?" Aiden responded.

He did want his memory back, of course he did. He was wondering about his family, whoever they were. Surely they would be worried sick, and even if they did find him, how would it make them feel if he didn't remember them either? Aiden couldn't help but hope that drifing in to his mind whilst asleep could be a step in the right direction.

The doctor had told him they would bring in a wheelchair to use tomorrow, so they or a volunteer could take him around the gardens outside the hospital. He sort of looked forward to this. The only outdoors he could see were a bunch of grey clouds outside his window.

"Anyway, hopefully i will see you when i wake?" Aiden asked, with a crooked smile.

Tala laughed slightly before saying, "Unless you plan on being up before eight." That was when her shift started anyway, it gave her enough time to take care of her morning chores, clean up and then jump into her old truck and drive to the hospital about 20 minutes away from her home. "Well, I'll see you in the morning Aiden, get some rest."

With that said Tala turned and left the room, shuting the door behind her. The nurses would go around soon and shut all the lights off so she didn't have to worry about that, she just had to make sure she remembered to shut the door unless directed otherwise, but for the most part it was a shut door.

"So it's the end of the day and now you have your hair out of the way," the plump nurse complained as Tala walked up to her.

"Oh shoosh," was all she said in reply before thinking for a moment. "Is Doctor Andersen still in?" Her eyes then fell upon the nurse, no longer holding the usually teasing look the two seemed to have out for one another.

"Nope, out for the day I'm afraid. Why do you ask?"

Tala just shook her head saying, "No reason, I'll just seen him in the morning. Night Ana." She then signed out and left the building. Once in the muggy night air she rifled the keys of her family's 1990 GMC truck out of her pocket. Once up to the vehicle she got in, started her up and drove home, well, to the barn first. There the dark haired female quickly put a few slices of hay into each of the horse stalls, visiting and patting them all on the nose wishing them good night. Once done she drove the truck back up to the house and went inside. After showering and whatnot she went to bed, almost excited about going to the hospital again, even if it was just to see Aiden.

((Figure I'd leave it open if you wanted him to have a dream or something but not so much detail to bore ya XD))

((Thankya! Yes, i recons there will be a few dreams/flashbacks tehe!))

"Fancy seeing you here...Aiden."
Aiden turned around, only to see dense fog surrounding him. He couldn't see anybody, but he knew exactly what was going on.

"No...Please....Not now!" Aiden pleaded, and he ran as fast as he could away from the voice in the background. He felt heavy footsteps following him. They were getting louder, closer...almost there. This was not going to end well. Aiden was almost at the train station. He was heading North to track down an old friend he'd met earlier that year at a concert, but for the last few months, he had been stalked by an invisible enemy. It unnerved him. Suddenly, Aiden tripped over what seemed to be a large log.

"You should really watch where your going...AIDEN" The voice spoke again, with an almost hellish tone. Aiden still couldn't see anything in the distance, but he felt a sudden warmth infront of him and his heart skipped a beat. As Aidens black shoulder-length hair suddenly fell infront of his eyes, he heard the footsteps fade infront of him. He's leaving... Aiden thought.

Suddenly, Aiden woke. His eyes burnt with the brightness of the hospital room. A nurse had entered to open the blinds and give him his breakfast. Soup by the looks of it. As Aiden waited for Tala to return, he tried to piece together the dream he had just had. Was it real? Was he really trying to reach Tala? And who was following him?.....

"Tala honey, you're gonna be late getting to the hospital if you stay out here any longer," a woman's voice said as she entered the large red and white barn.

Tala had gotten up earlier than usually to sit with her horse, a three year old Fresian. He had yet to be broken, but she planned on doing that soon. Not having been able to spend time with her baby the dark haired girl woke up early to feed all the horses and to visit him. She had apparently fallen asleep on him, though that didn't matter, all the horses were calm, at least until one went after another.

The horse moved slightly waking the girl, it was almost like they had this down pat, him keeping her from getting caught on her visits at least. "It's ok mom, I'm going," she said hiding the sleep in her voice as she slid off the horse. Tala was wear a pair of camo shorts, a brown tank top, and of course the usual ol' tattered high tops. When her mother saw those as her daughter left the stall she sighed.

"Why don't you wear better shoes than those? Nana took you out just last week and got you a new pair."

Tala looked at her mother like she was crazy before saying, "These bad boys have history. And besides, no use in wearing out new shoes when I could just wait till school starts back up to use them." As she spoke she had been making her way to the front of the barn where her beater of a truck now looked dwarfed in comparison to her parents big black Dodge truck. One day, she thought, One day I will own that truck.

Hoping into her truck Tala drove to the hospital, down the same stretch of road and highway she had done everyday since her winter semester had ended. She didn't mind it though. As long as it made people happy she didn't care. Once there she jumped out of her truck, pocketing the keys after locking up. Looking down at herself she saw a bunch of black hairs and instantly began running her hands down the front of her as she walked towards the entrance. Of course getting all of them was mission impossible so it was a good thing that Ana didn't work mornings, or Tuesdays for that matter.

"Let me guess," the thin blonde said from behind the counter as Tala walked back to sign in. "Your baby was calling to you?"

Tala laughed, her and Marie were on much better terms so she knew about her horses. "Yeah, I've been missing him," she said with a smile on her face as she gave up brushing the horse hairs off. "Hey, have you seen Doc yet?" She asked leaning against the white counter. Marie shook her head before saying,

"Nope, you know you beat him in in the mornings. I'll let him know that you wish to speak with him when he gets here though.

"Thanks Marie," she said as she pushed herself off of the counter and towards the closed door she had been behind earlier. Room '201' she read while grabbing the knob and pushing the door open. "Good morning," she said cheerfully as she saw Aiden was awake and that the nurse's had already done their first run of soupy oatmeal. Pour guy, she couldn't help but laugh to herself when she saw. "Open or closed?" She asked indicating the door that she was still holding.

"Tala...what a relief it is to see you." Aiden spoke with a calm voice, much calmer than the night before. The sleep must have done his tattered and weary body some good, even if the dream wasn't a good one. It did at least give him the feeling that Tala was to be trusted, and this was comforting, because Tala was a nice girl.

Aiden wanted to tell Tala everything he saw in his dream, but he couldn't help but wonder if it was even real. He could have simply created a scene in his mind. He didn't see anybody, after all. But he had to try, it was all he had to work on.

"Hey, i think i had a dream. I couldn't see much, it was foggy, but somebody was there. And they weren't friendly....It was horrible!" Aiden spoke, trying to sound as serious as possible. He flicked his black fringe from infront of his face and smiled at Tala. He loved how Tala didn't wear uniform like the rest of the staff. Her tank top and camo shorts gave him an appreciation for her company all the more. He was only human, after all.

"Tala, did we ever plan on meeting up again, after the concert? 'Cause in this dream i had a forwarding address of yours in my pocket. I...I think i was trying to find you."

As soon as Aiden mentioned something about a dream she thought, Closed it is, and swung the door shut. She had done it a little harder than she had expected and the loud slam caused her to jump a little bit. She was already half way across the room before the dark haired male started talking. Ok, so what he had told her about the dream didn't really give her much insight as to what had happened but it was a start at least and his question afterwards certainly did arise some intrigue.

Did they ever plan on meeting up after the concert, that question perplexed the girl slightly as she pulled the chair back to where it had been the day before. She pursed her lips to the side for a moment as she thought about what he had said, recalling the letters.

Finally Tala shook her head before saying, "No, not that I know of. I mean we had been sending letters back and forth and I was bugging you saying how you had to come out and see my horses." She then chuckled slightly before adding, "You didn't really seem to care about them though." It didn't upset her though. These days there weren't many people that were all that interested in horses like she was. "The last time I got a letter from you and sent one back was when we were talking about birthdays." She then nodded as she thought back, almost as if she could see the letter in her mind.

"Not interested in your horses? I'll make you a deal then. If i get back on my feet while you're still working here. I'll come and see your horses. Deal?" Aiden gave a smile, as Tala's expression looked saddened when she mentioned his not being interested. Maybe he wasn't then, but anything was interesting now, and he was dying to see something other than the white walls surrounding him and the now dying red rose on his bed-side table.

He wondered, as his last letter was about her birthday, if he was planning a suprise visit. He obviously knew her address from the letters so it would make sense.

"Maybe i was planning to suprise you.."

Aiden liked this girl. Although, besides the nurse this morning and the doctor last night, he hadn't actually seen anybody else, he felt butterflies racing around his insides when her eyes matched his own. She almost made him forget, what he had forgotten. How ironic.

Beside the bed was now a wheelchair for Aiden. It was a basic black wheelchair with a navy blue soft cusion on the seat. The foot stand laid out infront of the chair so to let Aidens broken leg rest comfortably. Apart from one IV on a wheel-stand, Aiden would be able to leave his room today, as long as he had assistance. He was dying to feel a bit of fresh air on his skin. And the nurse had told him the gardens were lovely.

"Alright deal," Tala said her smile returning once again. At least he was agreeing to see the horses and the thought of him surprising her excited her even more. She wouldn't say that though, it would be weird not only for herself but for everyone else there. And she never knew, they may just reassign her to a different floor or something and have another volunteer taking care of Aiden.

She then looked over to the wheel chair before standing up and bowing her back to crack it. "They mean well," she said as she looked toward the wilting rose. "But they never seem to last long, not like the ones from where they came from." She walked over to the wheel chair and leaned on it, staring at it for a moment before looking back at him. "What do ya say? You wanna get out of here?" She asked even though she knew he had to stay on hospital grounds, for a little while longer at least.

Going outside would definitly be nice, even if it was hot out. Plus, it also reminded her of home and the heat told her that she would be there for a while longer. It never failed to get really cold when Tala had to go back to school, but for now, it looked like the summer was going to be around forever. That meant that she would more than likely be here when Aiden got around and moving which meant that he would have to see the farm.

Inside she was jumping up and down, squealing like a school girl, but on the outside she remained composed. The nurses didn't really appreciate that sort of excitement, it was like they were convinced it worked up the patients, yeah, like bringing a puppy in was any better. Hmm, I should, she thought to herself as she thought of the German Shepherd pup she had waiting at home for her. She'd have to ok it first, but she was sure it would brighten everyone's day.

"That would be great," Aiden told Tala, as she offered to take him on a spin around the hospital. He figured she'd probably enjoy it herself too. Volunteering can't be THAT fun. And besides, the sun was shining through the window in his room, so he knew it would be a warm day, lets just say the hospital's air conditioning was generous.

Aiden, with a little help from Tala and a nurse that joined in was soon sat in the wheelchair, ready to leave. From where he was sat he could see more than just the skies from outside his window. It was a beautiful day.

Aiden breathed in deeply as he saw the view from his window and felt a twinge in his ribs again. They were still healing, slowly. He didn't care about the pain though, he was looking forward to going outside with his helper. "So, how old is your horse?" Aiden asked, trying to sound cheerful. He was in a bit of pain, but he was trying his hardest to make this a good day. After all that had happened so far, and the dream he had had, he needed to take his mind of things.

"Careful," Tala snapped at Aiden's pained look. "After everything you're still quite sore, those are going to be hurting for a while." As she said this she hooked the wheeled IV stand to the wheelchair so she wouldn't have to move it around. She then wheeled him out into the hallway and then to the elevator, once inside she pushed the '1' button and the doors dinged shut.

"My horse?" She reasked herself, the original question catching her off guard. "He's three now, still growing though, his breed grows until their six unlike most." That little bit was out of habit, she knew most people didn't know, nor did they care but she couldn't help but say that bit.

Once the doors were open she then pushed Aiden to the automatic doors that led to the large courtyard that was behind the hospital. "It's muggy out, I'm gonna warn ya," she told him as the doors opened and they were blasted by the mid summer heat and mugginess her town had to offer. Tala took a content breath though, Even though it's muggy it still beats being in the hospital all day. She then began to push him down the sidewalk asking, "So where would you like to go?"

As Tala opened the door, Aiden felt himself grow drousy. He tried to shake it off but his eyesight was fading, like a headrush from jumping up too quickly. Then when the heat blasted towards him and tala his eyesight totally dissapeared. He couldn't see a thing, and he couldn't hear a thing, but the heat remained.

'AIDEN!....'He heard the hellish voice again. But Aiden couldn't reply this time. He felt as if his mouth was tied shut with something. He couldn't move either. He felt like his arms were tied to something. His right leg was hurting badly, and his breathing was torturous. He couldn't see much, but he could feel everything.

'GOODBYE AIDEN...'It shouted again, but this time he felt a burning sensation on the back of his head. It was so painful he could feel the pain shooting down all the way to his feet. The burning sensation was getting worse too, and the third time it returned he felt himself fading away....

Suddenly, his vision returned, and he just caught the end of Tala's question. His head still burned, but this time, he assumed it was the heat. He could see tree's in the distance, and cars parked outside. None of it looked familiar, but it beat his hospital room by miles. He sat in silence, trying to interpret the vision he had just had, as well as his surroundings, and before long he realised Tala had been waiting a while for his answer.

'What? Oh...Anywhere...Anywhere at all...I...I just need fresh air. I..don't feel so good' Aiden replied. He was shaken from the vision, and didn't know how else to respond. If that vision was real, it was most likely how he ended up in the position he did.

That wasn't good, Tala knew that, she wasn't used to people getting sick from just being outside, if that were the reason. "Well here, let's get you in some shade," she said as she wheeled him under the shade of the large cherry blossom tree while she sat down on the bench beside him. It was warmer than she thought it was going to be and so early too so leaning forward on the bench she flipped her hair up before using a hair tie on her wrist to put it in a ponytail.

Sitting back up she turned to face him, a concerned look on her face. "You feeling ok?" She asked him, her hand itching towards the pager on her pocket. If she needed to she would call someone, it wasn't her favorite thing to do because that meant the patients were getting better but it was something that she had to do sometimes.

Other people were either walking or being wheeled around the property, none of them were paying attention, even the attendants were paying attention elsewhere. Tala expected that though, nothing was seriously wrong, or at least appearance wise so it was best to keep everything calm, even if something went wrong they stayed as calm as they could for that situation.

"Yeah a little...Sorry Tala. I just thought i saw something, but i can't decide if theyre real memories or i'm just hallucinating, its confusing me. And it confuses me more than i had one while i was awake..."

Adrian hated feeling vulnerable. It is the only feeling he knew, but he had the urge to take care of Tala, not have her taking care of him. He hoped his leg would be better soon so he could walk out of there and figure everything out. He also hoped that the visions he was having would start to make more sense in the near future. Why couldn't he ever see the faces of his attackers in his visions? And why couldn't he see anything that will help him? Like his family, or his home? Apart from his visions his emotions were changing. He wanted to protect Tala, and he had the strangest feeling that she was in danger. He feared for her safety but he couldn't do anything about it. If the attackers in his visions were real, they were still somewhere out there. Adrian couldn't help but wonder if it had something to do with the guys that were bothering her at the concert.

Tala moved closer to the edge of the bench so that she was closer to Aiden. "How about we talk about them," she suggested as she crossed her legs. "What's going on in these? I mean, there has to be some explination right?" She nodded slightly at the idea, at least it had made sense to her. Plus, anything she could find out would help Dr. Andersen, at least it would be information on their 'mystery boy', or at least that was who he had been.

She leaned closer to the boy slightly as she tucked the few loose strands of hair behind her ear. Tala was used to the heat, she had lived in the state her whole life, Aiden on the other hand hadn't. The concert had been out of the area so it was much cooler there this time of year. She would have guessed that that was what had gotten to the male, but apparently not.

"Im still trying to figure out what they're supposed to mean myself Tala. In the first dream i had i was being followed while trying to get to you. And in the second, if you can even call that a dream, i was in so much pain i felt as if i was dying! But i never, ever see the attackers face. And i can never do anything about it. I feel just as vulnerable in the dreams, as i do right now sitting next to you. They could be just around the corner now, waiting to finish me off, putting you in danger at the same time."

Aiden wasn't lying when he said that. He did feel vulnerable. And he did feel helpless. Whoever it was that attacked him, and whoever it was that was in his dreams, even if they are the same person, didn't attach to a picture to him. They could walk passed him now and he wouldn't even know. But even if he did know, he couldn't do a thing about it. He stretched his arms and felt another twinge in his chest.

"I just wish there was some way i could know for sure...so i could protect myself." Aiden sighed, and noticed sweat drops dripping from his forehead. It was certainly warm outside, much warmer than he expected. But it relaxed him under the shade. He wiped his forehead with the bandage on his forearm before fixing his gaze back on his friend.

"Sorry, i shouldn't be throwing this on you Tala. I just feel so helpless today..." He spoke, softly, but truthfully.
