I'm Tate. I'm 19. I'm a lesbian. My parents are hardcore Christians. You can imagine how well those last two mesh. The interweb is where I go to be uncloseted, and my bestie Shadami gave me a nudge in this direction.

I agree with fiarra. Mene is a very open place with a friendly atmosphere! I've never met anyone who has treated me with any disrespect. I'm straight but I'm a supporter of free choice and have some transgender friends. It looks like you already have one friend here but I wish you the best in making many more! ^_^

I do. I watched Gravitation and Strawberry Panic all the way through, and no matter how many times I try to watch Full Metal Alchemist, I end up stopping around episode 13. ^_^

I loved it, actually. It's just... Maes Hughes was my favourite. After he was gone, I got very distracted by other things and forgot to go back. And it happens every time I start watching it.

Hello and welcome to Mene. I know a few people that have the same situation you have. >_> Oh what world we live in today. Anyhoo where do you live? I'm a California person right now. Deciding on whether or not to move to Canada.

I'm in New York. I have a friend in California, actually. And Canada looks so lovely right now. If I didn't have a lovely girlfriend and no money, I'd be considering moving too.

:D Oh you have a friend that lives in California. Which part of California does this friend live? I'm Cen-Cal. I've only been learning about Canada from people that live there and yes it does sound like a beautiful place. I personally was more interested in what their laws are like ahead of appearance. :D So what are you doing now? School or anything?

I honestly have no idea where she lives. "California" is the extent of my knowledge. *feels dumb*
Gosh, Canada has nice laws, doesn't it? Much less fail than ours.
I'm doing college online with Liberty University and working a part-time job filing insurance claims. You?

Welcome to Mene, Tate. =D
Gosh, I so much wanted to move to Vancouver after Culinary School when I was younger, but didn't, for some reason. Now I wonder how their immigration laws are these days. Hmm.

Guivre: You could probably look it up or actually I know someone from Canada so I may ask for you. :)
Tate: I don't work. :( I am not in school but I would very much like to be. I was attending University of Phoenix online but I didn't like doing it online so much. I would rather attend school. Work wise, I am looking but nothing seems to want me for hiring.

I had that problem. I was unemployed for about eight months, and I only got this job because my mom does the bookkeeping for the company and got me in before they started advertising the job.
I prefer doing my schooling online. I'm not good in real life social situations. ^_^

Ahh. Lol. I love being around people so school would be a GREAT way for me to make new friends and get out and do more. :D We all have our own opinions. :DDD Oh you're a lucky girl to have a mother that would help you like that. :) My mother, eh I don't think so much would help me find work let along let me work with her and I personally wouldn't like to do that.
Also the majority of America wants to move to another country, what do you have to say about that America? Sorry, ranting and eh... >_>

I have... problems, let's say, talking to humans. I end up stuttering and feeling out of place. It's probably partly because of how closeted I have to be. But I've never really been good at socializing. I just don't know what to say to people.
Yeah, my mom is great so long as she doesn't know I'm a lesbian. The second my parents find out, I'll be out on my ass. Which is why I'm staying in the closet until I have my own apartment. (My parents are the type who actually say things like "Gay people should be stoned to death".)
I like the idea of America. But in practice, we're not doing so well. (Just like communism, sounds great in theory, doesn't work practically.) I'd actually like to move to Britain someday. When I have money and stuff.

>:( !!!! I understand socializing around people you're not sure of. Maybe you question your open mindedness around others because you're not sure of how these people think let along how they will react. I'm pretty open minded when I want to be. Lately around people I only want to give a limited amount of information. So what have you been doing today?

It's actually worse with people I know. Like, they KNOW me this one way, and if I say something contrary to their expectation of me... I don't know.
Worked some, beta'd half a chapter of my friend Moment's new Doctor Who fic, slept, wrote my girlfriend a letter. You?

I would gladly trade. We'd probably mess up the equilibrium of the world, but... Eh, I don't do well with cold. I have low blood iron or something. I'm cold when it's seventy degrees out. It makes wearing the cute clothes that I buy very difficult.
