Romance. It's such a wonderful thing. It shouldn't have a limit and age shouldn't play a factor in the process. This roleplay revolves around a thirty-two year old federal agent who's falling in love with his step-daughter's smile. What will happen? Well, let's just roleplay and find out.

The refreshing scent of french vanilla drifted up into his nostrils with each swig he took. Coffee? No, it was Lipton tea. In fact, it was his favorite flavor. It washed down the back of his throat, hitting the spot.

Setting down his cup, he looked over at the female that was sitting across the table from him. She had nice curly locks and a refreshing smile, but she was nothing more than a burden. A huge burden, to be precise. She was more or less thrown at him. It wasn't really his choice. With her mother dying and her father being MIA, Levin was the only one that his company could trust. She was the daughter to his deceased co-worker. Being the one in the will, Levin really didn't have a choice at this point in time. It said, 'Watch over my baby girl until she falls in love.'

Setting down the book he had in his hand, Levin Rambert Wakefield exhaled. "I'll drop you off at school. I have to go that way to get to the station anyways." Standing, he walked over to the sink and washed out his mug. Shoving his strawberry jam covered toast in his mouth, he let the warm water hit his hands. Pumping some soap into his hands, he lathered the cucumber melon scented foam around his hands. Intertwining his hands together to rinse the soap off with, Levin shook his hands and grabbed the red and gray kitchen towel. "Ummm, hello?" He rolled his luscious golden green eyes. Freaking kids and their headphones. Levin took out his cell phone and texted the female beside him. The car leaves in five. Get going.

Chanelle sat down, head phones in listening to music while sipping on a sweet grass drink and sighed, ignoring the guy sitting across from her for a second as she finished a level in a game and replied to a text sent by a friend, rolling her eyes at his text and typing back a 'Yes sir!' and a military simile saluting him than got up from the table, walking out of the kitchen and going to her room.

She really hated having to deal with him. Her mom had somehow ended up making him her guardian in death, and now she had to deal with that annoying federal agent attitude of his. And she thought her om was bad, she'd rather have lived with her for another year than him, to be honest, though she was at least grateful that he wasn't a complete jerk, and that he was nice enough to still take care of her, even when he could just tell her to get a job and a place to stay and be done with her. She was, after all, at the age where she could file emancipation, bu she really didn't want to deal with it at the moment.

Slipping on a tight denim mini and a brown leather belt, a off white shirt with a Hawaii logo on it and some brown flat heeled boots than grabbing her purse and books, glossing her lips in a mirror real quick and making sure she was presentable. She's already brushed her teeth, showered, and styled her hair earlier that way the time consuming jobs were done before he got up.

She walked back out of her room, putting her ear phone in again but keeping it down s she could hear him. "One minute early, heading out to the car as instructed..." she mumbled sarcastically while passing him than paused. "Can I go to Cailie's house after school?" she asked, naming off one of her childhood friends that she practically knew since she was... Well, still in diapers than continued towards the door and walking outside, heading for the car.

Damn child, he thought to himself. Rather than verbally addressing her, Levin thought it was safer to keep such comments to himself. The last thing he needed was child services breathing down his neck and a nice, 'you're fired' from his boss.

Grabbing his black leather jacket, he swung it over himself and walked up alongside his black sports car. He called it his 'chick magnet.' All the ladies, young and old, swooned over his car. Memories were made in it, although most ended badly. Apparently, most girls were only looking to say they were inside the classy car rather than getting themselves a cute boyfriend. "Am I really that old?" he asked getting into the driver's seat. "Don't answer that."

His seat belt clicked in and he turned the key. A roaring engine followed and, using his shifting stick, he slid the car out of the driveway and down toward the street. "And I guess you can visit your friend. I'll be getting out late tonight, so I can pick you up around... eh, eight? I'll text you if it'll be later or earlier. Here," stopping the car at the large octagon sign, he pulled out his wallet. "Take out a twenty. Maybe you two can catch a movie or get a pizza."

A father. It was something Levin dreamed off, but no matter how hard he tried for find the right girl, he just couldn't commit. He had a few close ones, but he always backed out last minute. Levin blamed himself for it, but it really should have been pinned on his hooker mother. She was with a new man every night, and, in his youth, Levin thought that whoring yourself out like that was okay. After a few too many one night stands, and finally growing up, Mister Levin Wakefield knew his chance for finding a partner was too late.

But one day he meet a lovely co-worker who seemed to change that thought - Miss Rain. She was... amazing to say the less. He knew Bev was his responsibility because he was romantically involved with her mother. It was short-lived, but Levin didn't mind. For as amazing as she was, she too wasn't looking for a real long-lasting relationship.

Showing the car down, he put it in neutral. "There you are. Have fun. And if you need anything, well... you know my number." Waving, he rolled his eyes. Sooner or later, I'm going to get sick of her. It'll only be a matter of time before she comes home with some punk, gets pregnant, then ends up begging me for money so she can buy drugs. Ugh. I can't let that happen? But she's not really mine. Dammit Levin, why are you such a softy?

Chanelle rolled her eyes, answering anyways. "Technically you're not old, you're middle aged. Supposedly the only time in life that you're fun to be around is the thirties because one, you don;t have to worry about acne because you already got that done and over with, two, you're more mature, and three... Well... Just don;t worry about being old. With age comes wisdom." she quoted while texting again, taking a twenty as he said, no more no less an than giving back his wallet.

Frowning she looked over at him. Eight? How come she couldn't be picked up at midnight or something, like Cailie was all the time. Didn't even have to be home until midnight. "Sure whatever..." she mumbled and than smirked when her said if she needed anything to call."Well, if there was really anything I'd need than, it would be my own car, a driver's license, a job, and my own house, possibly a college to go to, but seems like that won't happen any time soon." she said, not minding the seat belt since she never even used it.

Opening the door and getting out, grabbing her purse and deciding to make a show of putting the money in her bra, a habit she'd picked up from her mom and than walking inside, thumbs in her pockets and having a natural runway walk towards the door, her bronze curls bouncing with each step and going inside.

She went to her locker and put her books in it, getting the ones she needed and the homework she had to turn in and than going t a locker on the opposite side of the wall, putting her purse and other unneeded stuff in it. Her and Cailie had a way of doing things, and one of them was, Chanelle's locker was for books and boring stuff, Cailie's was for purses, make up, music, and talking to boys at. All the fun stuff.

The girls met up, chatting for a few moments and than hooking arms and walking through the halls, going through a door to a stair case and walking up with other students, heading to their first class for the day.

Levin frowned at her rude remark. "Freaking child. What does she think I've been doing?" Shaking his head, he pulled away and, about ten minutes later, arrived at work.

"Don't ask," he said with an annoyed look on his face. "She's a real charmer. Going to make me lose everything I've ever worked for. Damn child wants to go to college, so now I got to look for a night job. Any way I can work second shift too?" His eyes looked up at his boss.

"You know I'd let you if I could. How about I put in a good word for you with my fiance down at the station? They are always looking for night guards for the asylum. Great benefits too. Maybe you can haggle to get the benefits changed out for extra cash?" Her orange-brown eyes looked down at the mess of paperwork that cluttered up her desk. "Working late tonight, I pray."

Smirking, Levin kicked his feet up and looked over at his office mate. "Of course. I'll need the money." Retracting his feet and placing them under his desk, his fingers danced about through a ceaseless amount of folders, reports, and papers. As the pile continued to shrink, a phone call came. Looking at the number, he cocked a brow and answered. "Officer Levin Wakefield here. How can I be of service?" Within moments, he was raising, strapping a pistol to his hip, and flagging his co-workers to leave. A bank heist was underway and they would need to step in to prevent any unwanted bloodshed.

After saving the day and then doing a few other petty catches and such, Levin looked at the last paper that was spread across his cherry desk. "Boss," his head cocked to look at his red-haired upper supervisor. "I know I don't really need the money, per say, but I'm worried she'll want to go to Harvard."

"You're a good man, Levin. Why not talk with her. Tell her that if she shows she's worthy of your money, you'll put forth the extra effort. Nothing wrong with making her kiss ass sometimes. Besides, the best way to a girl's heart is through pampering and talk." Smiling, she rested a folder against her chest. "It's getting late. I think you ought to go pick her up. It's about ten now. With tonight being a school night, you might want to go...."

"Listen. I get it. I'm the worse person to be a father, but I am trying. I don't need your help. When I want it, I will ask for it. Now goodnight." Shutting down his computer, he walked out to his car. The parking lot was dark, but it was relaxing to finally be alone. Ah, peace and quiet. Bending to unlock his car, Levin had an image flash through his mind. At first he thought it was Bev's mother, but he soon realized it was Bev herself. Shaking his head, he couldn't figure it out.

If she ends up being a hooker, I'm really going to have my hands full. Hitting sixty miles per hour, he began to slow when he came up to the house. Hooking his horn twice, he parked the car and waited for her to come out. I guess I'll have a little chat with her. Maybe.

Chanelle and Cailie worked hard most of the day in class. Even though they seemed reckless the took notes religiously an most of the time at Cailie's she was working on her biology, and she even took honors classes, french, mandarin, art, algebra, advanced algebra, trying to get as many credits in as she could since she was planning on graduation early.

Once they finished their home work they talked about random things than uploaded new album from their favorite artists to their phones, had diner with her parents, her mother was pregnant, again. The last three babies she had had all died at birth and they were trying hard to have one that stays alive.

As soon as she had finished desert she heard the horn outside and sighed. 'Coming, have to get my books and homework.' she typed into her phone and sent it.

She went up to Cailie's room and got her books, purse, made sure she had everything she came with before walking down the stairs and, saying goodbye to Cailie and her parents, she walked outside and went to the car, getting in and tossing her stuff in the back. "I hate algebra..." she mumbled and handed Levin a report card, she was on an A honor roll but she was convinced that she she be on a 'best' honor roll, better than an A and crossed her arms over her chest, waiting to hear some smart comment from him. She was just expecting it that much.

"Impressive. So, I have to ask, where are you looking to go? Are you thinking of heading to Yale or Harvard? Or were you looking to stay in the state?" Checking his rear-view mirror, Levin smiled at the female beside him. "I know I'm not your first choice to be a fatherly figure, but I'm going to do all I can to help you get a proper education."

Backing up out of their driveway, Levin shifted gears and speed off back toward their place. Even though the speed limit was 45 in this area, he kept his speed a wonderfully high 37 MPH. He was driving slow on purpose. He had a lot of questions for her and wasn't sure if he'd ever get a chance to ask her if he didn't try now.

"I also need to know... is their a... a boy?" Without turning his head, he shoot a quick glance at her. "I know, I know, it's none of my business, but I would appreciate knowing if there is a man you like. You can just tell me his eye color. I won't ask for names or number or age. I swear. Okay, I might ask for age, but I'll wait on that one. Ha ha." Recalling something, he quickly added, "You're road test is Friday at six. I'm getting out early tomorrow to practice with you. I figured we can grab Cailie and I'll give you both some pointers. Don't worry, I already told her parents. They're 'cool' with it as you kids would say."

Turning down another road, he looked at her again. "I can't promise you'll get a car anytime soon, but i figured I'd let you borrow mine. Now the deal will be, you have to drive me to work and pick me up. I'll have to be Tuesdays and Thursdays only, though. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are always busy. That and my partner isn't their those days so I'll need a car. You can also borrow it on weekends, so long as you go errand shopping. That is, if you can pass on your first try." Pausing, he figured he ought to let her speak rather than having her suffer through all his speech.

She thought for a moment and arched an eyebrow. Was he really wanting to get rid of her that badly? "I'm planning on staying in state for a while, since I am working on getting enough credits to graduate early, if I do good enough on the exams at the end of the year I should be able to get a decent scholarship." she said and froze.

A boy? Was he joking. She scoffed and looked out the window for a moment. "Seriously? I've been far too busy with the billions of papers I've had to write, plus homework, and me an Cailie have been going around and trying to find jobs so we can both save up to get a car... And plus, all the boys I know are complete and total idiots... I only ever had one boy friend, and he was a total jerk." she said, replying to that.

She grinned. She'd be able to drive soon, and just to add to it, she'd be able t drive the car?! That was totally... Wait... She had to drive him to work? She frowned. She wanted to be able to stop places before going to school if she had, or got the borrow, a car. And plus, what would other kids think if she ended being late one day and used the excuse of, 'Sorry I had to drive my step dad to work.' How was That supposed to work?

This was the time when she told him about the renting cars that Cailie's parents paid for if hey went on road trips of something. "Cailie's parents rent us a car on her birthday and mine and such for like, road trip and stuff. Sometimes they even go as far as a limo..." She said silently and than decided to change the subject.

"Anyways, to answer your questions, I'm staying in state for at least a year or two, no I don't have a boy friend nor do I want one..." at the moment "As for the car thing... I'll think about it." she said and looked out the window, watching the cars go by and looking at the signs and billboards they passed, deep in thought for a moment before turning to Levi again.

"I have a question now... Does having me around bother you?" she asked, looking at him with a curious gaze. If it did, she wanted to know. she didn't want to put any weight on him, and besides, it was about time she was an independent individual.

The lights of the city off to the left were simply marvelous. He always dreamed of taking a woman out there at night, but most were too busy trying to get frisky in the back of his car. Thank god he was in an accident recently (which was not his fault) and had traded it in for a new car. It was so new the scent of fresh leather still lingered in the air from time to time.

"Staying in state is a smart move. I know when I went I wanted to get out so badly, but I'm glad I couldn't afford it. It's a lot easier to live in state. You get to keep your medical insurance. Ha ha. Not that I think you're reckless or anything, but still, you never know with crazy drunk college boys." His white smile became visible for a second. "I know, I know. I'm the last person you want to share your private life with. But thanks. I'm glad I don't have to get my shotgun out just yet. Hey, don't look at me like that. Your mom wanted the best for you. I shall do my damn best to uphold that promise."

Looking out his window, he frowned. "You know I was going to change my hours, right? I figured you can drop me off at 5:30 and you could have the car for yourself. It it's really that big of a hassle, I can have Nerd pick me up on his way in. I'd hate to 'crap your style.'" Rolling his eyes, he turned to say something else. It came out a little harder than he wanted, but it needed to be said. "Last time I checked, her parents didn't have insurance on you. I would prefer if you didn't go out driving without a license and proper coverage. I submitted your paper to the state and any day now you'll be put under this car. I also had to go and update my will. Don't worry, I made sure I gave you enough stuff - the push lawn mower, the little tray, and hell, I even threw in the cat." A large grin followed.

"And if you don't like the agreements for using my car, I guess I can give you your eighteenth birthday gift early. But, I will have to pre-approve of the metal death trap and their will be a curfew on it." It was when her question came up and out of nowhere, that caused Levin to jerk the wheel a little too hard. It sent them off the side of the road (it wasn't an issue as they were now on a back road). "I'm trying to be nice and you accuse me of... trying to get ride of you? Hell, I take it all back. You're not mature enough to get a car. If you can't respect me, then I sure as hell won't respect you. You're grounded and I'm taking your phone when we get home. So tell all your friends I'm a jerk and you hate me. I really don't care. You live under my roof and you will not treat me like I'm the bad guy."

The rest of the right home was filled with silence. The air in the car was thick enough to cut with a knife. Levin was furious and he knew she was as well. Getting out of the car, he stormed into his house and leaned up against the counter. Drumming his fingers on it, he waited for her to enter and hand over the phone.

She rolled her eyes. When did she ever say she hated him? "Never said I hated you, and I wasn't calling you a jerk, and grounding a 17 year old is actually illegal. I know my laws, mother wouldn't let me grow up without memorizing at least the important ones." she mumbled and sighed when they stopped, waiting for him to get out than texted everyone 'Dad's being dramatic.' thank got out, getting her books and purse and walking inside, handing him her phone. "I'll have Cailie's uncle get me a new one." she mumbled and went up to her room and closing the door, and she looked completely untouched by his words, they didn't affect her much anyways.

She took off her school clothes, changing into a pair of turquoise shorts and a t-shirt, taking her math and science as well as french and mandarin books downstairs and sitting at the kitchen able, doing the extra credit home work and completely ignoring Levin before pausing. "You know, if my mom wanted the best for me, wouldn't the best include not trying to make me cry?" she asked him without looking up then going back to work, her pencil was the only thing heard at the moment as she wrote down answers to a few questions than used that to make her report.

Her words pierced him like a dagger. Standing at the sink, he looked at the shot glass in his hand. It was still half-full of the brown liquid he was currently drinking, but he didn't have the heart to finish it. Rather than putting it back, he doused it with water. It overflowed and he watched at the sink caused a small funnel to suck the water down. Just starting at it, he finally heard her speak up just above the sound of the graphite tearing lightly at the white lined paper.

"No. The best would include not having me as your guardian." Using the window pane before him as a mirror, he looked at the reflection of the female sitting quietly doing her homework. "I going out. If I don't come back, get yourself ready for school tomorrow." His eyes showed no stir of emotion as he groped for his keys. Their light chiming sound followed as did the slamming of the door.

A car's engine revved and soon died off in the distance. Had she not looked outside, Chanelle would have thought it was Levin driving away. But, this was not the case. In fact, he said there on his front door step with his pistol at the side of his head. Not that he was suicidal, he was just trying to clear his head and the thrill of his gun being that close to him was the only way to erase the images that taunted him. Clicking open the back, he removed the cartridge and then tossed his gun out on the lawn before him. Sitting there with that miserable look on his face, he tugged at his tie and shirt. It was getting harder to breath. His throat was filling with grief and his eyes were beginning to fill with tears.

She was better than he was and in every way. Levin knew he couldn't provide for her like he wanted to. Hell, he knew he could never even measure up to being a guardian let alone a father. Wiping his nose and brushing away his loose tears, Levin exhaled and felt terrible. If this was what having Chanelle was going to be like, Levin knew it would send him to an early grave. Just as he stood up to go back him, he felt his heart grow heavy and weak. Damn girl. She's going to make my life a living hell. She's too perfect. And I'm not even worth it. I need to find her a better place. A person who will love her. She needs to get away from me. The longer she stays, the more corrupt she'll get. I'd hate to destroy her hopes and dreams....

Eyes turning up toward the stars, Levin rested his head against the house's wall. "I'm sorry, Chanelle" he whispered under his breath.

Chanelle raised her eyes to look at him and shook her head. "You're a fine guardian... Stop being so hard on yourself..." she mumbled and finished the rough draft of her report than started on her first copy and than she got out her stationary paper with little vines and black roses on the edges and began to use her best cursive handwriting for the last one and than, as always, she would put it in a matching envelope and put her seal on it.

She liked turning in her extra credit papers in fancy old fashioned styled envelopes and writing the final copy on a cute stationary. It was something her and her mom did or fun. whenever there was something that Chanelle could benefit off of being turned in, they used something fancy to turn them in with.

She finished up and than walked up to her room, practicing her piano and thinking for a while before she brought the song she was playing to an end and got up with a little stationary that had chocolate bunnies on it and got out her calligraphy pen and began to write Levin a note. 'Going to spa with Cailie and Mich on the weekend, you can tag along if you want. It'll make you feel better. ' and than putting it in the envelope and sealing it with her seal once again and than sneaking to Levin's room and putting it on his pillow than going out and into her room, turning off the light and making sure her alarm was set early so she could cook something for breakfast the next day, instead of having cereal like she did every day.

Falling asleep outside wasn't really the plan, but he was a little (yea right) hungover. Apparently a little shot of vodka and coke can go a long way. Either way, when he finally woke up at three o'clock in the morning, he was feeling a lot better. The cool early morning air did him some good. Shifting and then standing, he retreated into the house. Slipping past her room, he flung himself onto his bed. It was the sharp corner of the letter that woke from from his state. Attempting to read it with the light from his cell phone, he decided it was high tide to turn the little lamp on.

It was beautiful. In fact, it was the first time he had ever received a letter. Water came to his eyes as he read the little note. It was... sweet. Smiling, he tucked the letter under his pillow and doze back off to sleep. That night his dreams were filled with her - Chanelle. It was odd. An adult dreaming about a young female. She was charming though. At times, Levin thought of her as a blessing. Perhaps a gift from angels. However, just when his dream started to heat up some, his phone alarm vibrated in his pants. Now horny and drowsy, he slouched into the kitchen to prepare the two of them a fine dinner.

Waffles. It had been ages since he made those. Letting his brain recall his mother's secret recipe, he went feverishly to work. Some were laced with chocolate chips, other were dotted with strawberries and whipped topping. Just as he was setting the places out and placing the hash browns and sausage links out, he heard Chanelle's alarm go off.

"Breakfast's ready and hot!" Smiling, he ran off toward her room. Letting himself in, he stood there with the spatula still in his hand and his "Kiss the Cook" apron on. "Rise and shine, angel. I've made us waffles!" Bending over her, Levin ruffled her hair and then placed a gentle kiss on her temple. "Let's go. Move it, move it, move it. C'mon girl! I've seen snails move faster than you!"

Chanelle groaned but smiled. "Ok... I'm up..." she said, a bit shocked about the kiss, but that just managed to get her mind ready to work at least, until she realized she was only in her bra and underwear and she pulled her blanket over her chest and blushed.

"Ok... Be there in a moment... Can I get dress real quick though?" she asked and reached for her bathrobe, slipping it on and tying it before being able to get out of bed without having to worry about flashing him hen went over to her walk in closet and sighed, deciding to wear a tan halter top dress and heeled brown boots than walked out, going into her bathroom and brushing her hair, going with her natural curls, which weren't much of curls, but waves, and brushing her teeth than doing her make up, minus the concealer and foundation since she didn't really need them.

She walked out of the bathroom, and spritzed some of her perfume on, one that had a slight vanilla scent in it but not too much, than getting her stuff together, taking them down the stairs and setting them on the table by the door and going into the kitchen, getting some water instead of her usual sweet grass drink and sitting down at the table.

Waiting impatiently like a kid at Christmas, Levin nearly toppled the female when she came into the kitchen. "I went a little... okay a lot overboard, but I hope there is something here you might like. Waffles with chocolate chips? Waffles with fruit and whipped cream? Ummm... eggs and sausage? Hash browns? Anything?" His eyes looked desperate with each question he fired at her.

"I know you have classes today, but I was wondering if you might be able to get out early. I took today off. It's Friday, so I figured maybe... we could go... car shopping around one?" He leaned in closer to her. "I got a raise. Heh. I didn't know it was coming but last night, before I crashed, I opened my paycheck from last week and I have a nice six-digit figure sitting in the 'you get' line." Tugging on one of her curls, he added, "I have to do the best for my princess."

"Mmm.. chocolate chips in waffles? my real dad used to make those all the time for me and I totally missed them." she said and smiling at him, wrinkling er nose when he tugged on her hair. she was a head sh to other people she didn't know and usually if a stranger touched her head she'd go ballistic, but she was fine with Levi doing it, it just bugged her a tad bit.

"I can try and get out early... No promises though, my teachers are mean. The only nice ones I have are my music teacher, mandarin, and self defense." she said, a bit excited about the car thing but she managed to stay in her seat, though the smile remained on her lips. She actually kind of liked it when he called her 'princess' or 'angel'. It was something she missed when her dad left her and her mom at the age of six.

Getting up and walking over to Levi she hugged him. It was actually quiet touching that he was being so nice to her. "Thank you..." she said, a small tear rolling down her cheek.

"Well, maybe I'll just write a note and give you a legal excuse to get out. I'll tell them... your guardian is having a meltdown and you have to come home. Ha ha." Placing a plate of the chocolate chip waffles before her, he took a seat right beside her and picked at his plate. Eating the strawberries first, he scooped up some whipped cream on his index finger and wiped it on Chanelle's nose.

A light giggle came from him as he leaned over and accidentally slipped forward, landing himself in his waffles. "Eww." Pulling himself up from the plate, he looked over at Chanelle. "What? I was... I was... hungry. I was stuffing my face. See!" Bending down, he ate at his waffles with just his mouth. "Nom, nom, nom...." His eyes danced over toward hers. "You're beautiful," Levin said resting his head on his arms. "Okay, I think I've had too much to drink. I'm going to go pass out before I do something I regret, okay?"

His golden-brown hair flopped into his face and he attempted to stand up. Not doing all that well, he collapsed on the ground and began laughing. The laughing was loud and annoying, the type you hear from drunken men sitting at a bar. "Can't you just skip school and stay home with me? We have so much to catch up on. Like...." falling over, Levin passed out on the floor. Had Chanelle known what happened last night, she might have had a different reaction. He was drunk, yes. Lacking sleep, most definitely. But what she might not have known was that he was wallowing in self-pity. Her brief hug with him, it only pushed him over the edge. The last time he'd had a woman huge him seemed like ages ago. He longed for the passionate kiss of a woman and he was ready to get serious. He wanted to settle down and have his own family, but Levin knew his time for that had come and gone. He was forever stuck a loner raising a woman that would inevitably raise and take care of him.

She smiled and pulled away and watched him with a freaked expression than sighed, going to sit down and ate a little of her breakfast, sighing she ended up being unable to sit there anymore, she just stood, got her phone, and walked out the door and walking to school. Later she'd see about asking the others he worked with f he did that often, because if so... She wanted to know so she could get him a psychiatrist.

It also hurt a little. Did hugging him really break him down like that? Could she not liked her step father? She took a deep breath, heading inside the schol and doing her usual, going to turn in homework, and changing classes back and forth, until one hour when she had a class with a few cheerleaders and the students were out, one of them came over and started to harrass her.

At first it was something she could ignore, than the cheerleader pulled her up by her hair when she kept ignoring her... And Chanelle's eyes went wild. "Let go of me... Now..." she said in an enraged voice.

The cheer leaders laughed and than told her her mom was a ho, just like her and Chanelle growled. She hadn;t let go of her hair, and that comment about her mom fired her up.

She twisted the girls arm and threw her across a few desks that tackled her, straddling her to the ground and giving her a few good blows to the face, he teacher walking in just than and called for a few other teachers and separated the two girls, dragging the sobbing Chanelle to the office and the other to the nurse.

The principal called Levi and spoke into the phone: "Mr. Wakefeild, I need you to come pick Miss Chanele up, she's gotten into a fight with another girl and is suspended for a week out of school."

Levin was awoken from his deep when his phone started vibrating in his pocket. Grumbling, he reached into his pants and pulled it out. The school? Flipping it open, Levin heard the principal's words and nearly had a heart attack. "She did what? And suspended? What? That's... yeah, I'll be there. Tell her she's going to have a lot of explaining to do."

As he pushed himself up, his hand fell into a puddle of his drool. "Oh that's just nasty. I didn't just pass out, I crashed. God, I hope my angel didn't see that." Rather than showering first, he went and picked his step-daughter up. He refused to speak with her the entire ride back. Before she even entered the car, he warned her with, "If you say anything, I will personally take away your bedroom door." It obviously worked, as the ride home was long, silent, and full of a raging Levin.

Getting out of the car, he pushed her into the house. "What the hell is wrong with you! I'm working me ass off here to get you the best education I can buy you and you go and pick a fight? Are you really that ungrateful? Do you want to live on the streets and smoke pot like the others? Want to grow up and be a hooker? Yeah, I didn't think so. So straighten the hell up." Steaming, he ripped his shirt off to reveal his very well toned chest. His abs contracted as he flung the shirt down into the laundry basket beside his left foot. "You sit right there and think about what you've done and get me a good, clean answer. When I get out of the shower, we're talking."

He reached for his towel and flung it over his shoulders. As he waltzed into the bathroom, he was undressing his lower half. Just as his pants were coming off, he was just out of sight from where Chanelle was sitting.

The shower probably didn't last long enough, but perhaps it did. When he was done, Levin didn't even bother to dress fully. He put on a clean pair of black boxers and put on his skinny black jeans, but left his top shirtless. Thankfully he a body where he could walk around topless. Sitting down beside her on the couch, Levin looked over at her. "So what's the scoop?" He noticed the odd look she was giving him, so Levin reached over to the clean clothes pile and pulled on a tight black-sleeveless shirt. "Well," he said with a bit more force and anger this time.

Chanelle was silently crying all the way back to the house. She really had nothing to say to him. As always, it'd end up being her fault, which was exactly why she never even tried to make new friends. Because if something happened to them that wa the prep's fault, it ended up coming back on her.

She didn't really want to talk about it. Like it would matter. What would happen than? Boarding school? Would he sen her of to brat camp like her ex-abusive-step father did? Would she be forced into military school again?

She would have hugged Levi, but at the moment she was afraid that he'd end up having another break down she she simply hugged her knees and leaned her head again them, her hair shielding her tears through her trembling shoulders gave away the fact that she was crying.

"I'm sorry Levi... I'm sorry..." she said between sobs.

Her trembling and crying brought out out Levin Wakefield's softer side. Moving closer to her, he wrapped his arms around the female and lightly rocked her while lightly cooing, 'shhhh.' Stroking the side of her face, he pushed locks of her hair from her eyes. "Princess, please don't cry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I just need to understand why my baby girl is causing fights."

His hands caressed her face and he drew her chin toward his face. Inches away from her, Levin spoke in his softest tone possible. "I'm not your enemy. I want to understand. Please let me in. Tell me what it is." Bending forward, he placed another kiss on her head. He stood up and retreated into the kitchen. Coming back out, he offered Chanelle a cup of tea. "Here, this ought to clam your nerves." His arm found his way back around her body as he pressed his head against hers. "Come on, smile. Smile. You know you want to. OH MY GOD! MONTE!" Standing up, Levin darted for the backdoor and nearly screamed when he saw his cat. Letting him into the kitchen (it was the only place in the house he was allowed), Levin relaxed some. "Sorry, I thought Monte-Monter might have been shaved or something. But he's still one big, poofy, black fuzzball."

Snuggling up to her again, the male rested his head on her shoulder. "I'm just going out on a limb here, but was it one of those preppy girls? Did one of them bitches start the fight?" His luscious green eyes looked into hers as a small smile came to his face. "Shall I cuff them for you?"

Chanelle nodded when he guessed the preps. "Vanessa's one of the worse ones... She's been terrorizing me since i was thirteen... And today, she was taunting me, than grabbed me by my hair... And I'm severely head shy... Mom had to take me to a therapist whenever a stranger touched my head because one of her earlier husbands was abusive..." she said and paused, wiping her eyes and looked up at him. "He sent me to military school and put me in brat camp every summer..." she said and shook her head, going back on topic. "Vanessa than called me an mom a ho..." she said and began to sob again.

She really didn't want to go on. This was going on a permanent record and Vanessa's parents could press charges, especially when Chanelle knew exactly what kind of damage she did. Two black eyes, a broken nose, busted lip, and dislocated the girl's jaw. No doubt there would be a billion bruises all over her pretty little face.

"I didn't mean to go ballistic... But I can only take so much..." she said and clung to Levi. "I'm not in trouble am I?" she asked him and looked up at him with tear filled eyes.
