You may read, but unless you are Gypsea or I, no touchie! X3
The world of humans and the world of demons have long since been connected. The passageways are heavily guarded and protected. But powerful beings can often breach them, if they're motivated enough...
The demons of the realm Lichuen are isolated from the other demons. Isolated from the humans, too. The passageways into this realm are the most difficult to breach.
What if one of these demons, called Formes, was lost in the human realm... raised as a human? And what would happen if that demon uncovered the truth about their lineage?

picture when male
when female
Rokurou sat at his desk tears streaming down his face. He had to go home and face them again, his mother had become unbearable. He had tried not to cry but now he was almost graduated and she had become cold to him. They had once been great friends, she used to play with him when he was younger. His dad would go out to work and she would spend most of her time with him. But that had changed when his parents had another child… or as he now found out, their first child. They had been trying for so long and never once came close, so they had adopted him and said that they would raise him like their own. Now she had told him the truth about him being left to die in a door way. That he was an unwanted child that would never amount to anything.
And then there was his secret, his secret that he had never told anyone. When he hit puberty he had found out that he could become a girl. There were all the mangas out about things like that and all the girls sighed over the poor character but there was no way they really would accept him as a her. It had driven him away from his few female friends and they did not seem to care. His mothers mistreatment of him in the last three years had driven away his male friends, the last one just this morning told him that he was to girly and that they did not want to be seen with him again.
Rokurou sniffed and rubbed at his cheeks with his sleeve. No one would be coming to look for him here. Class was over for the day, he could hear the students in the courtyard laughing as they talked about what they would be doing on the weekend. Happily running home to see their loving families, he had only a quiet cold home to look forward to. His mother had taken to turning off the heat and going out to her sister’s hours with his brother.

The chattering students, the ones near the sidewalk leading to the road, fell silent, and then began to point and whisper at someone across the street.
A boy? A girl? It wasn't clear. The reasons they were pointing were that this person was absurdly cute, had long blonde hair, freckles, was wearing bright, outlandish clothing, and looked more European than anything else. He was also acting peculiar. He had stopped at a fire hydrant and was studying it with curiosity and utter fascination, like it was a sort of extraterrestrial being.
"That guy's so weird..."
"What are you talking about? That's a girl, genius..."

Looking around Rokurou sniffed and stood up. There was no use for it, he had to go home. No matter what he did the cleaning staff would be by soon and he would be kicked out of the building. He hoped all the students had gone by now so that he did not have to face them. The loss of his friend had hit him harder then he thought. Maybe it would be best just to go to the bridge a crossed the river and jump. It was fast enough this time of year, maybe a few cherry blossoms would dance in the air as he fell. Rubbing at his eyes and trying to hide he had been crying Rokurou walked to the door. The sounds of students had faded a little while ago so he did not have to worry about most of them. Only the ones that knew he had been hiding in here should be left.

There were softly gossiping students still crowded around outside, entertained by the strange person across the street, who was attempting to press imaginary buttons on the fire hydrant, now. Had he never seen a fire hydrant before?
There were more students than usual still there, seeing as they wanted to know what this person's problem was.

Stopping behind the students Rokurou sighed. He had not wanted them all to be here. He wanted to slip off into the gathering shadows and not worry about any one. wiping his cheeks again he waded through the mulling people and walked by the man they all were staring at. He glanced sideways as he passed the person by.

The boy looked up when Rokurou passed, surprised he'd ventured near, since everyone here seemed wary of him. He was quite feminine...very feminine. It was hard to tell if this was a girl or a boy.
Like an old friend greeting an old friend, the boy waved cheerily, and then went back to work poking at the fire hydrant. "How does it work...?" His voice was a soft, curious soprano. He appeared to be talking to himself.

Rokurou stopped and look at the boy. “It does not work like you think. It only pours out water when the firemen open It up.” His voice sounded sad. Pulling his coat close to himself he sighed. The cold spring winds were not going to do this guy any good. “You know you should go home. There is to be a storm tonight that will make you sick.”

"Oh, I'm fine," the boy assured him confidently, trying to pinch the top of the fire hydrant. He paused, and then he lifted his head to look at his companion of sorts, tilting it. "What are firemen?"
"Charmase." There was a tall, menacing sort of man standing in the doorway of the mini-mart behind the hydrant. He looked tired. He sighed, then glanced at Rokurou. "I am sorry if my charge is bothering you, young man. Charmase has no manners."

“no,” Rokurou said quietly then a little louder. “No he is not.” A slight smiled tried to alight on his sad look. “Firemen are men and women that go around putting out fires in buildings. When there is a fire you call them and they come and put it out. But only big fires mind you, not little ones you want to be there.”

"Ooooh." The boy, Charmase, blinked. "We don't have those back home. We have--"
The man reached over and sharply tugged on Charmase's arm. "We have to go."
"Aww, okay. At least let me learn my new friend's name first!" he said, adamantly. He waited expectantly, a shy smile on his face.

The smile took hold as Rokurou looked over at the man. “I am sorry sir to have distracted your charge.” Then he turned back to Charmase with a slight bow. “My name is Hanazawa Rokurou. You may call me Rou-chan if you would like.”
((Hanazawa is his last name, it always come first when your telling some one your name if your Asian.))

"I'm Charmase! Charmase Basia! Nice to meet you, Rou-chan--you may call me Charma." He seemed awfully friendly to strangers...didn't his guardian teach him not to talk to strangers?
The man nodded at Rokurou, and then gently tugged Charmase away, down the street.

Charmase turned back as he walked to wave as well. "Bye-bye, Rou-chan!" He then turned back around and walked happily with his guardian, chatting away.
Charmase's guardian seemed rather tired, like he had been putting up with Charmase's behavior all day.

Sighing Rokurou returned the way he was walking, Charmase had probable not even know what Chan meant. Well what did it matter any ways he would not be seeing that kid again. They probable were staying at the new hotel down the block and had thought to stop at the mini mart for some “local” food. They were just going to make themselves sick doing that.

Charmase was calmer by the time they reached their hotel room. He plopped down on the single bed, legs swinging. "Can I have some ramen, now?" he asked, contently. He was quite hungry. Plain ramen and salads were his favorite food.
Idly, his guardian started on making the food for him.

Rokurou sighed as he sat overlooking the river, his feet dangling over the railing. Did he really want to jump and end it all? Not really, his life may be crap but he did not have to worry about what other homeless people did. After sitting there for some time Rokurou stood up and headed home.
As he opened the door he knew that something was different. The cold that he should have felt was actually way to warm. Then he saw the room, it was empty but for a low floor table and an envelope on the table. Looking in the other rooms he found them just as empty but his. All his stuff was still there. Walking back to the table he opened then envelope. There in side was a note and about 50,000 dollars worth of yen.
‘dear Rokurou,
Papa Hanazawa is sick and now has to be sent to the hospital. We are moving to be closer to him. here is what you will need to pay the rent till you have found a job.
Mama Hanazawa’
He looked at the letter stunned. How could they do this to him, he had school how was he to get a job to pay for this place too?

As Charmase was eating, he felt something sad pass through his mind. He lowered his bowl and stared out of the window solemnly for a long moment.
His guardian suddenly noticed the odd look on his face. "Charmase?"
"Somebody's not happy somewhere," Charmase replied simply, somberly. It was difficult to tell from a distance, but his eyes shone every color of the rainbow.

Sitting there for some time Rokurou’s stomach growled, looking over at the fridge he wounded if his family had left him anything to eat. Slowly getting up he walked over to the fridge and pulled it open. There was only the things that he did not really like or what was starting to go bad. “That just figures. They would do that wouldn’t they.”

Charmase had great empathy when it came to people he somewhat knew, if even only barely. He was a kindred, innocent soul...a little too innocent--he would approach complete strangers for hugs.
"What do you expect? Humans are not happy creatures," the man muttered, starting on his own ramen.
Charmase looked appalled. "Miration! That's really, really not nice, Mira."

Slowly laying out the money in piles so that he could see how much he had to live on each day Rokurou sighed. He could not live on that little and still go to school. Looking around he sighed, heavier this time. What was he to do with his life? He could not exactly quite school and get a job, nor could he live with this small amount of money. Tears tricked down his face as he bundled it all back up. There was only one thing he could do when faced with this.
His feet led him back to the bridge and the cold wind. Somewhere along the way he had lost his jacket and the packet of money, he probable had given it to someone that looked like they could use it. There was no way that he could live no matter what he did so he felt that if he were to die the world would be a better place. Standing on the railing he shivered, it would be cold tonight, it would not be that painful. Then he lepted, the air gently carrying him, or so it seemed into the water. The darkness of the sky above him blending with the darkness of the river. He would be found the note in his room would be read and then students would tell the tale of how he had died of a broken heart and how he now hunted his room.

Charmase paused in his eating again, and then vanished in a cloud of rainbow smoke. He reappeared above the water, and fell in. A rainbow-tinted light seemed to shine around him as he dove under. He grabbed Rokurou's arms, pulled him close, and then disappeared again.
Teleporting like a Forme was hard on people who had never done it before--it felt like their insides were churning around.
Charmase reappeared in his and Miration's hotel room--his caretaker stared and then shook his head, sighing, as he went to get towels.

Rokurou having hit the water had passed out his mind letting go of everything. He had not noticed when Charmase had pulled him form the water nor that they were now in a warm room. He lay there limp on Charmase’s arms.

Miration returned a moment later with towels and handed them to Charmase, looking irritated. "You're too much of a goody-goody. I did not raise you that way."
Charmase huffed at him. Then, he pulled a towel around himself and then dried off Rokurou before wrapping him up in the towel, attempting to warm him up.
