Haha, I guess that depends on you. If you're a college student, then not having tv is pretty normal. I think everyone watches stuff online now. If you're older or you're still living with your family, then maybe it's a bit weird... x)
I have a tv, but I never use it. My roommate and I are cancelling our cable subscription and we're just getting rid of the tv altogether next semester. It's just taking up space in our living room.

Yeah, I don't think that's typical, but it's probably very good for you.
Tv series are the biggest distraction for me in school right now.

I wouldn't say it's weird, but the majority of people these days do have television.
I honestly wouldn't mind at all not having one either though; most of the things on TV are pretty stupid these days, in my opinion. I don't even watch it, so I might as well not have one, but my parents do.

My household is actually dropping its satellite service next month. It's just wayyyy too expensive. But we're going to get a netflix subscription and a Roku box (streams stuff from hulu and such to your actual TV so you don't have to watch it on your computer), so we'll still be watching television programming.
I've heard of other people doing similar things, so I wouldn't say you're a freak of nature or anything.
I will, however, contest the statement that television is crap. There's plenty of throw-away shows, but I think if you look you'll also find a lot of quality programming with intelligent writing, good actors, and interesting plots. Though the majority of what you hear about is reality show and sitcom drivel, that doesn't mean there's all there is, of course. But also, not everyone has time to keep up with a few shows. Especially considering most of the worthwhile ones are hour-long episodes.

I don't have a TV and only watch maybe one movie a week, if even that. I have too many other things to do and there is nothing that is ever good on TV so I don't see the point in having one.

I usually do my show and movie watching online or using my computer as a DVD player. The only time I watch TV is if I have nothing else to do or want to relax and lay down on my couch. If I had a laptop, which I'm working on saving up for, I'd have no problem keeping it off while I use that to watch stuff either already downloaded or online.
Then there's always the news my boyfriend watches here. I pay no attention to that as news bores me anyway.
