What is your fav genre of music? or what is your fav band if you think that they dont fit into a genre xD

I personally can't stand the radio, I find so much of it annoying as hell. Usually I get new music through recommendations from friends or else I'll just hear a really good song somewhere and try to find information on it. My favorite stuff is like...Bjork? Some folksy music like Dar Williams is cool, too.

I get my music recommendations through friends, bands, people that I know through the radio station, concerts, local shows, internet, etc. I always look for new music and can't get enough. I used to work at a radio station and we'd always get demos and stuff like that sent in from "unknown" artists. I miss that part of the job a lot.

As for my favorite band...I'd have to say Taproot. I like their music and they're all very sweet guys and they always put on killer live shows. My sister and I always say it's like a family reunion every time we go to their shows because the fans are pretty much like family and the band hangs out and all that after the show.

My favorite type of music is rock based music. I tend not to like screaming too much but there are exceptions. I listen to a bit of everything though ranging from classical to stuff that's pretty heavy. It depends more on the artist/band/group than the type of music they play.

For music that is harder to find, I normally just get it from the bands themselves. I listen to a few bands that don't even have CDs out yet though so the only way really to hear their stuff is through live shows.

As for iTunes...Can't say I like iTunes much.
