So im on this one site called ruffles. Im not sure if there is a thread about it anywhere but i was curious if anyone else plays?

Its a new site its not big big but it does have a nice amount of active members and the events and items are super cute and we just redid the bases so there new.

I haven't been on ruffles since last month. I didn't know they redid the bases. I will have to go back there and check them out.

I'm on Ruffles! It's been a few weeks since I've been on, so I should probably go see what's been going on there, especially if the bases were redone after I was last there.

I like looking at other avatar sites just for an idea of how they look. I never join, but I always look. I think this site has got the most awkward looking avatars of any of the other sites I've seen. The bases are so flat and static. It makes me think it's someone's first time creating a doll base. They look rather dead to me.

In the two months since this topic was posted, it looks like the forums have died a slow and painful death. The mods seem to be the biggest, if only, active posters.

I guess visiting other sites makes me appreciate Menewsha that much more.

I haven't been on there is a few weeks or more, but I do know the person who created this site. It's small right now, and not much activity, but heck, it's only been around a short time and she's done good so far.

oh ruffles! yeah they do have gross avatars. D: I admit the staff was nice when i joined. I remember when i joined i had said in my thread or something that i was having a hard time earning bananas or whatever they called it and the owner or whatever had sent me like 1,000 or something to start. was pretty nice ^^ I think they should try to change their avatars though, I am sure i'm not the only one that joined and left.

I have a Ruffles account but I never really joined in with the community there because I thought that the old bases were rather ugly. I may have another peep in if they've been re-done though.

They don't look any better now that they've been edited, sadly.

I gave Woop a big chunk of very honest feedback, starting from here about her bases, over a year ago, but I don't think she was ever brave enough to tackle her pixelist about any of it.

i think it has good potential seeing as they have some pretty original ideas and the owner is really sweet, but the bases honestly do keep me away D:

That made me really sad. I worked hard to make the face better and no one likes it it seems. and all I did was the new face/head. I wanted to redo it all or at every least the shading and I was told no. to just do the face. ) :

I don't think I've seen/noticed that facial edit.I like the shape of the eyes but they look very flat and 2D, how many colours did you use? The pillow-shading on the forehead is really obvious, but then all the base is pillow-shaded. I really dislike that base ._.

8 colors for the face.

That just for the skin? Our bases just have 6. 8 is a lot to still have those visible colour changes. I'll admit that I still think Ruffles missed out on being something different and unique by having actual monkey bases. These are just human with a creepy fleshy tail. The bases do put a lot of people off joining the site, so it's a shame that they're not better in both execution and overall appearance.

I've been working on that with something related to work. So, my hope is that it will spark a change. ) :

I'm not assuming anything :) It would be nice to see them alter for something better.

I think the bases and the site overall needs a lot of work. It does not look professional. The professional look will attract more people and keep them there. I also think that the bases and clothes need more depth to them because right now they look very flat and almost look like they're part of the background.

Is the site still around ? x'D I cannot seem to find it.. o3o;
