Xemnas just didn't seem to understand why his lover was so upset. It didn't seem warranted, to him, that he spill all of this anger at him, of all people. The tan man hadn't done a thing.
Of course, he seemed too proud and too blind to realize that that, in and of itself, seemed to be the problem. He never did anything romantic, or even remotely cute. He seemed to have little to no personality past being a good boss. That was how their relationship had started, after all. They were just decent together as business partners.
