UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Kim had been hard at work in school. It seemed that everyone had gone back to their 'normal' life. She had been attending her high school this was her final year she would leave to live with him...with Edward she would forget this town this God forsaken town.....She hated it she never had before but after all these people did to edward how could she not hate it. Her parents had been doing well her mother climbing the ladder of success in Avon her father keeping up with what Edward so easily could as far as the grass. Her mother would stop as to wonder how Edward was doing she would looked out the window towards the direction of the old mansion. Seasons came and went a year finally had passed kim had graduated and it was finally time. She packed her bags and said her Good byes...the had told everyone else tat she was off to college ......little did they know that 'college' was so close by.

Kim finally had made her way to her car small and old but would get her to her final destination Edward. She made way to the op of the hill where 'he' was.....part of her wanted to turn back what if a year was to long what if he did not want to be with her anymore....what if he did not lover her. She ignored her dots she had to know what he wanted not what she thought he did. She mad her way out of the car and up the steps she knocked on the door and silently waited.

The knocks echoed throughout the empty old house, knocking bits of dust off from where they were and making the spiders in the corner skitter deeper into the dark corners where they had placed their homes. Edward knew this day would come, but wasn't quite sure when it was going to. He had been cold all those nights up here in this drafty house, no heater like in Kim's old home. He was both happy to be away from the leaking water matress and sad that he was unable to see Kim during this time. Though she had slipped him notes occasionally, his hands made it so he couldn't have written her back even if he had had access to a pen. But he kept every last one of them and posted all of them on his wall, making a sort of shrine to her.

The knock came on the door again and he started walking down the stairs quickly, afraid that if he waited too much time that she would leave him again and he would be stuck up here forever in his castle. It was dustier down here on the slightly less drafty first floor because the only time he ever came down was to prune the hedges. Recently he hadn't even done that because he was afraid the towns people would still think he was alive and ask questions he didn't want to answer. Always wanting him to chop their hedges and cut their hair and trim their dog's furr. Enough of what they wanted. And that one... the woman who threw herself at him. He had no interest in her. All he wanted was Kim. And he could see her on the other side of the door. He spoke loud enough to be heard on the other side. "Come in, I cannot open the door."

Kim took in a rather large breath she gripped her bag tightly. She herd him tell her to come in....she could not help but feel nervous did he know it was her...did he know...that she was here to stay with him from now on....she was never going to leave him not for a second. Kim placed her hand gently on the door knob and turned it. The large door open it was seemed like slow motion it could not open fast enough. Once the large door fully opened she saw him....There he was the same as he was last year when she last saw him when her ex boyfriend had been killed by Edward..for harming her. She looked into his eyes and tears began to come down her face..she bought that she would never ever be able to see him again for some odd reason. Kim dropped her rather large bag..she had plenty of more supplies in her car which she needed to bring into her new home. Kim began to slowly walk towards him until they were face to face.

Edward watched Kim as she walked in the door, she had left it open and had walked straight towards him. It had been so long. It was only a year, but it felt like it had been an eternity. He seemed stunned, she was still so beautiful. He showed no emotions on his face, only wound his arms around her, being careful not to touch her skin, hair or clothes with his blades and held her as tight as he possible could. He took in the bag that she had discarded on the ground and looked at everything else in her car and knew she had no intention of leaving. He smiled, for the first time in a full year, whispering gently in her ear as he held her tightly. "Welcome home, I missed you." He rubbed his face against her cheek, still not quite sure how most humans expressed their affections, but he had seen cats do the same thing and figured it would be ok.

Kim gigged as she felt him rub his face against her cheek it tickled and made her smile. She then kissed him lightly on the lips like they had done so long ago. She felt his slightly cold lips press lightly on her own but soon the kiss got deeper. She soon had to stop kissing him on the count that she had to breathe she was human and needed to breath she smiled at him as she left to go to the car. " I brought a whole bunch of clothes and food.....is there any running water here?" She asked him as she smiled lightly while she pulled a bag out at a time. " What about a fridge I brought a months supply of food for us....and I would hate to see it spoil...." She stated as smiled at him the whole time she looked at him as she spoke " So what have you been doing since last year?" She stated as she smiled at him

Edward was still in somewhat of a state of shock. He hadn't expected her, he was glad that she was here, but he wasn't quite sure what he was going to do with her. She was so happy and bright, like the first flower of spring breaking through the winter snow. He kissed her back and almost didn't want to let go, but he knew humans were fragile and didn't want to hurt her by holding her too long or hard. He smiled back and watched her go out into the car. He wished he could help but took one look at his hands and decided there probably wasn't much he could do for her. He didn't ever speak much, now, when she had so many questions for him, it wasn't any different. He nodded in response to the first question and then shrugged in responce to the fridge for the food.

He honestly wasn't sure. He only ate when there were others around to enjoy his company. Surely the old man had had one himself to keep his own food in. He motioned for her to follow him as he wandered into the kitchen and then began to answer her final question in actual words. "Taking care of the house. Being lonely mostly." He wasn't ever quite sure what to say around almost anyone, mostly her. Maybe with time he would start speaking more. Once he looked around he found something that looked like a refrigerator. He hadn't ever seen it there before, but the kitchen was not really something he ever really needed to use. Then he smelled it and realized that the old man probably had stuff in it before he had died... and it had been a while... He pointed to it. "Probably bad."

Kim nearly fainted " Dear God in heaven...." she stated as she smelled what was in the fridge. " I need to clean this out good or I am going to die from the stench...Its a great thing I brought cleaning supplies " She stated as she smiled at him in a disgusted way at the fridge " Okay I am getting my bag filled with cleaning supplies....." She stated she ran to her bag and grabbed it she got a trash bag and began to empty the fridge out as fast as she could. She made a cute disgusted face the whole time. " Edward can you throw is out for me its to heavy for me..." She stated as She began to spray the fridge down with disinfectant. " At lest it smells better she stated as she began to scrub it clean.

It was rather amusing watching Kim make all those funny faces and try really tough to avoid it. Edward looked at the trash bag and stabbed it a few times before finally getting enough of his blades in it to support the weight. He only needed one arm to lift it, so he walked out the back door which had been left open for a long time. He dumped it in the far back end of his yard where no one would notice. It wasn't like the garbage men ever came up here, even if they did, he couldn't risk them finding out that Kim was staying here. It would cause a riot in the town. He stayed outside for a little bit before heading back in. His head was so full of thoughts and dreams and desires that had been there since the first moment they met and could have never come true before... but now.

He walked back in to find her almost completely done cleaning out the fridge. He wanted to do something more to help, but he was so clumsey with most normal things that he was more likely to hurt than help. He sat down on the dusty floor and watched her work. He looked at himself in the mirror that was through the kitchen door and propped up in the library. Most humans couldn't see the way he did. His vision was much sharper. The past year, he hadn't cut his hair still, so it was about 6 inches longer than it was. He wondered if she liked it that long or if she would want something different. He looked back at her and noticed she still had long hair. He tilted his head as he watched her work and waited for her to get done.

" Yeah!" She stated as she finished cleaning the fridge and began to stock it. " Gd I am glad that over that was the hardest thing I ever had to in a long long time" She stated as she finished stocking. She had brought all types of food such as bread meat and fruits and cheese. She then moved on to the rest of the kitchen. " What would you like me to cook today?" She stated as she moved on to cleaning the rest of the kitchen. She was finished about 2 hours later. " Is there a bathroom.....please say yes" She stated as she smiled at him she loved his long hair...she loved him.

"Whatever you're hungry for is fine." Edward said the words quietly and smiled at her. Things would probably get easier after they had spent some time together. He remembered his first night in their house and how strange everything was to him. She must be feeling the same way and he really wanted to find some way to make her feel at ease, but she already seemed to be there... where he was still the akward and shy one. Maybe this was just their own natural personalities. "There is a bathroom... it is down the hall."

Kim smiled as she looked up at him " Thank you" She said as she kissed him lightly on the cheek and made her way to the bathroom. " It was clean it had not been used in a while. But she decided to spray some stuff over everything and wipe it down just to be sure.
" Hard work.....glad to be done" She stated as she hugged him.

Edward kissed her back gently and softly said the words "you're welcome" as she wandered off towards the bathroom. She came back shortly, although seemingly covered in sweat and hugged him. It was hard to describe. She smelled like table salt. Only it was that mixed with her own aroma and it was intoxicating. It was all he could do to control the instincts he never knew he had and he shook his head and smiled at her. He looked over to the bathroom and nodded. "Looks good." He had an akward look come over his face and then he looked up at her through his eyelashes. "We have no working shower." Edward had been using the river out back to wash when he really needed to, but there was no way in the world that a girl could survive on river water. "We'll search for help?" He tilted his head and looked at her for approval.

Kim frowned "really no working shower" She frowned....hmm maybe I can bathe in the river until I can get my father to fix it.." She stated as she looked at him and smiled trying t make the best of it. " Listen everything will be okay.....you will see" she stated as she kissed his cheek lightly. " Lets eat okay I am really hungry from all of this working "

Edward was slightly suprised, but said nothing nor changed his facial expression. Father, eh? While it was true that the townsfolk and her father seemed to have nothing against him, he thought she had mentioned she wasn't telling her family where she was going to be staying. He nodded in agreement for the food and smiled at her when she kissed her cheek. "I could help?" He brought up his blades with a grin, he was getting better with them. It didn't take him very much time at all to cut up vegetables or meat.

" Great ! I love it when people help me in the kitchen its more fun." she stated as she open the now clean refrigerator as well as great smelling. She pulled out vegetables and meat...lamb chops. " This is my favorite meals she stated as she smiled at him and placed them down on the table counter for him to chop " Once you chop them I can wash them properly."

Edward wasn't quite certain what the meat was that she pulled out, but he hadn't ever had an issue with anything that had been cooked at her house before. He wasn't sure if Kim cooked like her mother, but he wouldn't really mind it if she didn't. While he had taste buds he believed they were muted because the only thing he had ever had a strong reaction to was the alcohol which he learned was extremely potent. He smiled at her and started chopping up the vegetables, scraping them off the counter and into a bowl to be washed.

" This is fun right....?" She stated as she smiled at him and began to wash hat he had chopped so far. She then began to speak as she spoke she began to blush " Am I umm sleeping in the same room as you?" She stated as she looked into his eyes and then down at the food she was washing for dinner. " I mean you know.....since I am living here and all" She stated as she could not help but blush

Edward was perplexed. He hadn't really seen where her mother and father had slept. He honestly didn't know some humans did sleep in the same bed or room. He thought that because him and the old man had slept alone... and that her mother had kept all of the children seperate, including him. That it was just how it worked. His brain attempted to process it. He supposed that sleeping together would provide more warmpth. But if he was going to do that, it would have to be in the master bedroom that the old man had kept. He said the only thing that came to mind, not realizing that it had a double meaning. "Would you like to sleep with me?" He couldn't help notice how red she was, and she seemed to be getting redder by the moment. Had he said something wrong?

" Sure I will sleep n the same room as you" She smiled as she gazed at him as he chopped the food. " Okay now that I was done washing all that you have chopped " she said as she dropped everything in a pot "there we go" she stated as she turned the fire up.
" This is good so far" She stated as she turned to look at him and smiled.

Edward pulled out one of the dusty chairs that surrounded the table, leaving gashes under the top iron part which was seperated from the cushion seat, and sat down to watch her finish making dinner. She was really something. He didn't have to sit down. His body could maintain standing for quite a long time. "I think so too." He replied to her because he was still paying attention, but he still had something else on his mind. He decided he'd mention it to her. "Kim... do you really think you'll like it here? It's old, dark, dull and not that pretty. Not young, bright, colorful and beautiful like you." It was probably the most he had ever said in his entire life in a single sentance. It... felt good to talk this much. He was a little suprised at that.
