Ok, so I like fantasy and adventure books. Most of the books I read have some love interest or romance, but not tons. They either have to do with faeries, witches, dreams, or some crazy modern fairytale. They also tend to be young adult books. Some of my favorite books include:

The Dream of the Stone by Christina Askounis
The Goblin Wood by Hilari Bell
Dreamhunter and Dreamquake by Elizabeth Knox
The Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr

Other books that I liked but didn't think were amazing include:

The Immortals series by Alyson Noel
Starclimber by Kenneth Oppel

Books already on my list of books to read:
The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong
The Naming by Allison Croggon
Witch Season: Fall and Summer by Jeff Mariotte
Darkest Mercy by Melissa Marr
Airborn and Skybreaker by Kenneth Oppel

If you've read some of these books, and also liked them, would you care to tell me about some of your favorite books? I really would like to find more books similar to these :)

Hmmm, well one of my fave reads was Remember Me by Christopher Pike. And no, it has nothing to do with the moie with Robert Patinson. xP Haha its an awesome book. Here, I'll type in he description off the back for you :P

'Shari Cooper wakes up dead. The last thing she can remember is falling from a balcony during her friend's party. Her death has been ruled a suicice, but Shari knows she was murdered-and her closest friends are now suspects. As she tryes to find her killer from the other side, she discovers her friends may have not been so loyal to her after all. Now Shari is not just out for justice, she's out for revenge. . . .'

Its really good, and pretty long, but im a fast reader so it only took me about three days :P I couldnt put it down. Theres so much the description dosnt tell you. Haha. Oh, and if you have any strong religious beliefes, BEWARE!!! This book will screw with them xP But its a FANTASTIC book. I definetly reccoment it. :D Oh, and if you want any other good books just ask, my room is basically a library :P

Here are some of my favorites that seem to fit that description; most of these are Young Adult and fantasy or supernatural-themed:

- Anything written by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, especially her Den of Shadows and Kiesha'ra series
- Poison by Chris Wooding
- A Certain Slant of Light by Laura Whitcomb
- Companions of the Night by Vivian Vande Velde
- His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman
- Hannah's Garden by Midori Snyder
- Spirits That Walk in Shadow by Nina Kiriki Hoffman
- A Stir of Bones by Nina Kiriki Hoffman

I've also really enjoyed what I've read of the Newford series by Charles de Lint so far as well; a few of his books are Young Adult, although most aren't. I particularly recommend the short-story collection by him called Dreams Underfoot.

And if you're interested in anything else outside of the Young Adult genre, The Vampire Chronicles and The Mayfair Witches trilogy by Anne Rice are both excellent.

Graceling by Kirsten Cashore
Quote:
Katsa has been able to kill a man with her bare hands since she was eight—she’s a Graceling, one of the rare people in her land born with an extreme skill. As niece of the king, she should be able to live a life of privilege, but Graced as she is with killing, she is forced to work as the king’s thug.

She never expects to fall in love with beautiful Prince Po.

She never expects to learn the truth behind her Grace—or the terrible secret that lies hidden far away . . . a secret that could destroy all seven kingdoms with words alone.
And Since you have The Summoning my kelley armstrong, i suggest adding The Awakening and Hte Reckoning. same author

I would suggest:
The Morganville Vampires Series. It is yes about vampires but nothing like twilight. Its about a kickass girl named claire. Its mostly action and mystery with some romance but not vampire-human romance and its kinda funny. but lots of butt-kicking. I strongly recommend it!
Also, Fallen by Lauren Kate,
and the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson,
and the Midnighters or the Uglies by Scott Westerfield.
