In the middle of nowhere, a forest to be exact, sat a government building where humans of all ages went through genetic experiments. The government wanted to use these beings as weapons, but only those born with the new genes accepted them. Everyone else died slowly and in agony. Those who survived went through training to better their control over their powers. All were brainwashed to believe what they were doing was for the greater good. That was back in the 40's despite what people thought they knew about genes and genetic engineering.

In the 70's, a group of mutants or gifteds as some called them learned the horrible deed the government was doing by enstating them into their army. The group plotted for a year and half on how they were going to escape and where they were going to go. When the time was right, they executed their plan and hide in a small town in Colorado near the Canadian border. With all of them living in the same town, they thought they had a better chance of surviving together and protecting each other if the government ever found them.

After searching for 10 years, the government gave up and back tracked until they got a lead. The year is 2024, and those who have escaped now have children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. What will they do, where will they go when the government comes to hunt them down?
