I'm so bloody excited I can barely stand it.

Get it, bloody? Ahahahah xD

But seriously, who's tried the Steam demo yet? Do you have high hopes for it (as good as the original?), or are you afraid of a let-down (like the expansion x.x)?

I haven't tried the steam demo, but I certainly have played the PS3 one.

I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED!

The bf and I just started replaying the different origins (We split 'em up) and finished unlocking all the trophies just so that when it comes out we're all set to giv'r.

Its going to be nothing but good news.

I can't wait for it to come out.
The demo was amazing, although I played the 360 version rather than the Steam version.
I can see it shaping up to be an excellent game. :D

That's awesome xD It's interesting to see we all play on different consoles, too.

I'm a huge Sony fan, but I prefer to go with my PC gaming rig, and it's really for two reasons: 1.) customization and 2.) cheating, both of which can be hacked MUCH easier on the PC xD

I'm not a huge cheater, mind you, but once I'd played through a few times I messed around with relationship levels, etc, for a while.

Customization-wise, I have loads of character design mods - mostly hair - because graphics are something I'm really into. I reskinned all the characters, and they look gorgeous. Modified some weapons and made certain armors look better on women like I used to do for Oblivion and the other Elder Scrolls. Mod heaven! <3

I use the PC too, I rather like modding games. Especially character appearences, texture quality etc.
I more likely to get Dragon Age 2 for the 360 though as I want to transfer my files from the first game like I did with Mass Effect. :)

Ooh! It'll let you do that? I wonder if I can transfer it on the PC, too... it'd be so great to keep my character.

Ive played the demo on 360, and its awsome. I pre-ordered the collectors, or whatever they call it, version, and cant wait to get it in the mail on the 8th. Ive beaten the demo twice(once as mage(which is ALOT better than Origins) and once as warrior). I love how much more bloody it is than Origins...I love being able to blow enemies apart with the sword. Or the cutscene when using the mageg, where you rip a guy apart().

I tried the Steam version and I'm really impressed with everything so far. I was mostly blown away by how improved the Rogue is now; the combat is quick and efficient just like a Rogue should be, and not the watered-down Warrior it was in Origins. The other characters are nicely improved too, but the Rogue really stood out to me.

The game also appears to be more polished than Origins, as well. I'm really digging the fact that your character actually speaks now instead of just standing there like a doll. The voice acting isn't the greatest, but it's still a vast improvement over what Origins had.

I probably won't pre-order the game. I still haven't done everything I wanted to do in Origins yet, though I will get around to buying it after I'm finished.

one thing i noticed about the demo, which made me really happy. is that you can not mimic important NPCs. Like in dragon age 1, if you tried hard enough you could be Duncan v2 or even Flemeth. Doesn't appear to be that way in DA2

Yeah, what upset me about that is that my first character had the EXACT same hairstyle and color as the possessed boy's mom ;-; I was like WTF, that makes it seem less realistic.

Yeah my mage out of sheer luck looked like that mage who is your friend, and i'm an elf honestly!

I'm glad the NPCs have designs that don't look like they could be made with the character creator - Flemmeth's design is particularly nice.

And yeah I've heard that you can transfer characters like Mass Effect. The effects seem in game will be a bit less obvious compared to those in ME2 though as DAII was created with the intention of allowing new players in as well as old. Still, it's a nice feature. :)

Definitely :) Though I remember that being a big complaint about Awakening: Sure, your character could look the same, but his/her storyline was changed, it was like you were playing two different people.

Though I suppose it's not the appearance, but the choices you make which determine "who" your character really is.

Gotta love my violent, ruggedly flirty cast-out noble chick obsessed with revenge. <3

I personally am really hyped, Dragon Age: Origins was a great game, albeit with some problems here and there.

I just hope the whole "passing your story over" from Dragon Age: Origins to Dragon Age II will have a big effect. I really want to hear about my Warden being cruel and evil :ninja:

Im anxiously awaiting its arrival tomorrow.

Cant wait until it gets here, and then I wont need to get annoyed with people on Black Ops, or any other multiplayer game I play at the moment.

Ok, well this officially sucks. Got home from work today, to find out that because noone was home when UPS got here(10:30am, everyone is at work by then), they are going to try tomorrow...and as of right now, there MIGHT be someone home sick tomorrow...but no guarantees...and UPS probably wont pay attention to a note I leave taped to the door....here's hoping that I can change the delivery time by going to their website. -.-

I just heard the best line from Varric the Dwarf Rogue dude. And its actually in my signature. xD

Its from a sidequest, so it doesnt really reveal anything about the story...just how awsome I figured Varric would be. xD

Arg! It's going to be ages before I get this! Not that I've even completely finished the first one yet.. I got frustrated with the final battle and started over. xD

Lol. This final battle isnt that hard. I JUST finished the game...and I was somewhere between levels 22 and 24. But the final boss was boring, and considering the fact I didnt work on upgrading all my companions armors to their max(or even really setting up ANY battle strategies...) it was a little too easy. The boss was only dealing 1 damage to one of the characters, and like 8 to the weakest one(a mage). It was a little too easy, but only that fight really.

Now, to restart, and go through it as a Rogue this time...or maybe a Warrior again...and finish ALL the quests before I decide to go and start the final hour or two of gameplay.

It may not be hard.. but I play for stories, not for battles, thus- I suck at the battle bits. xD
