I used to be a very active member of the roleplaying community here when Menewsha was first founded about four years ago, but then found myself too busy to continue and sort of dropped off of the map.

I was a member of several wonderful, large, fascinating roleplays, and I'd really like to get back into it if I can.

I enjoy original storyline roleplays more than fanon, but I'm willing to do both (provided it's a series in which I'm interested).
I like to consider myself literate, and would prefer to be roleplaying in the company of others who are at a similar level to myself. I'm in college, so I'd rather not feel like I've been dragged back into middle school.

As for original storylines, the only ideas I have are more along the lines of those in which I was participating in the past, and those were so successful mostly because of the quality of people who were involved. I'd really like to get involved in something with a lot of dedication and interest from everyone else.
Some things in which I'm interested for potential original storylines are:

• Fantasy Kingdom stuff, with romance, intrigue, and all of that fun stuff
• Something akin to Men In Black but with mythical critters instead of aliens [inspired by one of my old RPs; "Things that go BUMP in the night"]
• Horoscope or Zodiac stuff
• And I'm always open to suggestions from you~

Series that I'd be willing to Universe-borrow are as follows:

• Homestuck
• Pokemon
• String Theory
• Harry Potter
• Naruto
• Avatar: The Last Airbender

Generally, I'd like to make the storyline of the roleplay as separate as is reasonable from that of the actual series/comic (i.e. a region of our own creation for Pokemon, or a completely separate SBURB/SGRUB session for Homestuck; although a doomed timeline for the latter could also be really interesting), but I'm not opposed to playing canon characters or interacting with them.

I enjoy IC romance and IC drama and bickering, because they make things more interesting. I also love character creation, so expect me to go a bit overboard with it on occasion, haha.

I'd be interested in trying another Pokemon role-play (having had a slight break after the last dead one... :P). I prefer starting in new regions, too. That way it's easier to follow how far the cities/towns are without having to re-watch the entire series again...
Do you have a gender preference? For me it doesn't matter. I have a pre-made character for either. Bit of a poke-geek here. :P

I do not generally have a character preference. Being female myself, I guess I generally pick those of the fairer sex, but if a particularly good male character comes to mind I enjoy playing them as well. :]

&A new Pokemon roleplay sounds wonderful. Creating the region would be so much fun, albeit a ton of work. D:

Can't be too hard... To make one up. Kind like a learn-on-the-go type of thing. In the series they may have known at some point the next city heading towards, but didn't know how long exactly it would take to get there... At least in earlier seasons.
Same goes for me and the gender, being a girl myself. I'll lean in that direction, but sometimes if the male characters I make seem right for a certain part I'll lean that way, being an almost rare thing to play them... Good practice anyway. :P

I just want it to be really detailed; I wouldn't necessarily have to make a super-detailed map of it (though I may make something really ugly in MSPaint just for a reference), but I'd want to have cities already named and the gym types and such. > >

&Yep, ditto, haha. And sometimes roleplays are just flooded with chicks and we need some man-meat! xD;

How literate are you expecting? I'm very literate, but I generally do two to four paragraphs, and depending on how much my character has to do, they may be on the smallish side. To put it differently, my grammar and spelling should be nearly flawless, except for the occasional and fairly rare typo. But I'm not "page of post" literate!

I don't mind short posts, as long as they're detailed and interesting! I'm not exactly inclined to write a huge book every post either, if I don't have to. :] A few short paragraphs are fine by me, in other words!
Expecting everyone to write like nine paragraphs or setting wordcount minimums [I've seen both! D:] is just ludicrous, so don't worry about that.

Yeah. Could take some planning then. Uh... Okay, so the first two regions had mostly colours as the town names... Maybe a few in the third as well as random things... As for the fourth... Elements and nature-like... Fifth... Hard to tell by this point. Some spiritual, some slightly random as well... That's a start anyway. Knowing what came first and not to really follow any pattern...
Gyms... Had different types that either varied from gym to gym or got switched out for something else. Serebii.net might help with that.

I'm curious, though. Are you at a literate level? No offense, but I prefer to roleplay with people at about the same level as I am, and your post doesn't really hint that you are...
