So every now and again I hear the roar of a plane go by at night while it's so quiet. But tonight I heard one that just seemed to keep getting louder and louder and louder until I was thinking, Man, is my house about to start shaking?? Is that plane going to crash into my neighborhood!? Lol
My question is, have you guys ever heard something that made you think WTF and maybe feel a little anxious or scared?

I am such a chicken, I jump at every little creepy sound. My dorm is barely on the second level and I can hear every passerby's conversation. There are also voices that come from the vent in my bathroom.. it is really kind of annoying actually. Anyways, the other day I heard very loud shrieking and what sounded to be crying. I went to the bathroom confused at where the sound may have come from until I looked up at the vent. I realized that if it were a horror movie, I'd probably see the Grudge. eeek!

You know those air fresheners that only go off every 30 minutes? I always forget my friend has one. If there's a lull in conversation or we're watching a movie I jump out of my skin because no one is sitting on that side of me and suddenly... PSSSST!!

I go ninja at every little noise :ninja:
Everytime my parents leave me home alone, I swear I hear people walking/talking/breaking into my house on the second floor.... So I go into the storage room and bring out a katana and start moving through the second floor... like a ninja... I swear... T////T arg....
There's never anyone there, though, so in the end I'm just super paranoid and keep the katana around till my parents call to say they're coming home xD

Once, I heard a noise that sounded like the mix between a woman screeching, a pig squealing and a dog growling outside my bedroom... It FREAKED ME OUT! I have no idea what made the sound, but I will never forget it. It was beyond terrifying.
There is an Air Force base not too far from where I live and sometimes the planes that fly there are SO LOUD that it does sound like they're falling from the sky. It's even got that stereotypical "whistling" sound.

Aahhaa Chi, that is so freakin awesome. I would probably hurt myself by jumping at a creak made by my own foot and stab myself.
Holy crud Clair, that's so creepy! Jeeze...

yeah... noises freak me out. I have a tendency to hear cars backfiring and thinking it's gunshots. And the sound of the fan strings clicking together, and the sound of wind in the trees. And when I get scared or surprised I make weird noises back... something along the lines of "iarck!"

I live near an airforce base, so there's always large airplanes and jets flying over. :) However, there's the occasional C-17 that flies over, and those things scare the SHIT outta me every time, I can never get use to them. They make a loud whining/roaring sound, like a low flying airplane but louder and I always think an airplane is about to crash or something. XD
There was this one time though, a few months back, when I noticed a low rumbling noise. (had my headphones on too) It continued for about 5 minutes which I thought was odd, so I went outside to see if I could see something. Nothing was visible because it was cloudy though... But the sound lasted for another good 10 minutes. o__o Never heard anything like it before.
