(I apologize for the long wait)

He had walked past before. It wasn’t his project. He knew that. But he couldn’t help walking a bit slower whenever he went past, just to have a longer look at the Na’vi behind the glass doors. The poor guy had been unlucky and was captured by the scientist whom he sadly called his colleagues. He didn’t like what they did. Not at all. So why was he here you ask? Why didn’t he leave? For some reason he couldn’t leave the Na’vi. He had seen other Na’vi’s before. Tall and proud. The two words that describe a Na’vi best. Well, that and blue. But this Na’vi was different. It wasn’t tall. Not anymore. Somehow the scientists had made him shorter. He was the size of us, humans. It didn’t fit. It was wrong. The Na’vi shouldn’t be short and he shouldn’t be here. Jeff couldn’t do anything about the first, but he would definitely do something about the last. That he had promised himself. And it would happen tonight. As Jeff walked past the glass door, he smiled at the Na’vi. A smile that promised freedom.

This "project" is none too happy about being here. First, they put him into a small place after capturing him...and then? They made him small to fit the place. They learned shortly after that to not put breakable things in there with him. There's only so much one person can take and they pushed Markusi past that point. Not that they care, he's just a thing to be poked and proded to no end. And, if only, that glass wasn't so thick...he could have been free long ago. He's just waiting for a screw up to happen. He hasn't seen one yet, but someone has to mess up sometime and he'll be ready hopefully when someone does.

As one of the humans, he doesn't know which, walks by, he just blinks a bit confused. He....doesn't understand that smile. It's not the same fake one the others used to give when he first got here. But neither does he understand...so he just watches the human, trying to read him.

(It's alright...long as you can deal with a horrible reply D: Because it's really bad to me.)

Tonight was the night. Tonight he would return the freedom that the humans had so unfairly taken from the Na’vi so long ago. He had gotten past the guard by saying he forgot some important documents. For once, he was glad he had stopped himself from saying all the things he wanted to say to the other scientists. They trust him. Well, they won’t after this, but he doesn’t care since he will be far away and never set foot in this lab again. That is, if the Na’vi would trust him. If not, he would probably stay and wait for his next chance. For some reason he couldn’t leave the Na’vi alone.

He walks over to the glass cell and stops a moment to look at the Na’vi. Then he opens the cell door. Since he had the code, the alarm didn’t go off. But it would when they tried to run out. Jeff walked into the now open cell, looked the Na’vi square in the eye and held out his hand with a smile. If the Na’vi took his hand they would run away. If not, he would wait for his next chance. The Na’vi will choose.

(I really apologize for the long delay. School has taken up all of my sparetime with this project. It ends tomorrow and after that i will probably be able to reply regularly again.)

Markusi, the Na'vi, really is just waiting for an escape. But when the human unlocks the cell door, he kind of scuttles away a bit. When other humans walked up in there, it usually meant a bad experience was coming for Markusi up in here. Some times weren't as bad as others, but he doesn't want anymore of it. No more testing or prodding or anything. Does this human bring the same thing? He's just completely surprised as the human offers his hand to him. Why would the human do this? Is this another trick of theirs? He wants out, but he doesn't want any more pain. He also hates this place. So Markusi looks between the hand and the human's face and eyes, trying to see if any deception exists there. Which he sees nine, so he hesitantly takes the human's hand. If it is a trick, he might still be able to escape it he's lucky.

He doesn't actually trust this human. All his interactions with them have been bad so far, but he wants out...and humans seem to be the only thing around. So it's probably trust a human or he'll never escape.

(It's alright :3)

Jeff grabbed his hand and began running.

Intruders in sector 3! Intruders in sector 3!” There was the alarm. Soon the guards would come, which meant they had to hurry. Jeff grabbed the blue hand he held a bit tighter and turned a corner. He could hear the guards fast steps and see flashes of light, but it was too late. The door was just in front them. Jeff ran out the door and over to his motorcycle. He grabbed his own helmet and a second helmet and held it out to the Na’vi.

Markusi stumbles a bit as the human starts running, but he gets the pace quickly. He's never been out of that little room, at least not awake, but it doesn't matter now. What matters is getting the hell out of there. He makes this hiss like noise when that loud voice comes over the speakers. He just works on keeping up with the human...it would be so much easier if....if they hadn't done some things they had to him. He halfway wants to stop and fight the guards, but then? He'd just be captured again which he definitely doesn't want. Then they're at this...thing? He's not sure what it's called. The scientists never bothered with teaching him things, but they also never expected him to leave the place alive at least. He takes the helmet and watches what the human does and copies him.

Jeff smiled at the Na’vi. It was nice to know he trusted him… at least at the moment. When they both had helmets on, Jeff gently grabbed the Na’vi’s hand and made him sit on the back of the motorcyckle. He then sat in front of him and took the other man’s hands and placed them around his torso. He didn’t want the Na’vi to fall off. The motorcycle roared to life and they sped down the highway. As they reached his house, Jeff stopped the bike, took off his helmet, stood off and walked over to his house and opened the door. He walked in letting the door stay open to let the Na’vi know that he was welcome.

It's not exactly trust really...it's more of a...this is his only chance out of here probably. And Markusi will take the chance that this human also plans to hurt him. One human he could take on, but he learned, fairly quickly, at the laboratory...that he can't take on too many more than that. As , the bike starts up, Markusi clings to him. He doesn't like this noise-they still scare him at times. They have nothing like this. They still use animals to get around which works well for them. Once they stop, he just watches the human head in. After awhile, he takes the helmet off and heads to the door sticking in his head and looking around warily. Some animals are very territorial. He doesn't know if humans do or don't fit into that group as well.
