The Notebook is a great romance movie. I loved the book and I loved the movie. It's a story about an elderly couple, the wife is losing her memory so her husband reads to her daily from "the notebook," which is really a diary recollecting the memories of when they first met. A real tearjerker and one of my all-time favorite movies.

For something more shallow and low-key, I'd also recommend A Cinderella Story with Hillary Duff (you know, before modern Cinderella movies became a thing and every single possible remake was produced). Not to mention Chad Michael Murray is wonderful eye candy. It's funny, it's predictable, and I remember crying a bit, too, haha. Watch it!
