Age: 24
Appearance: X
Background: Risa is from the other side of the country, and woke up in an old house a month ago after she died in a car crash. She tried to go home, but whenever she got too far from the house she blacked out and woke up in the master bedroom again.

Jared had moved in the last box from the truck he had rented. He didn't like being away from his family, but this town was the only place that was hiring teachers. He sat in the living room and decided to rest a bit before getting his room put together. He liked this old house and wondered why it was for sale for so long.

Risa looked out the window from her bedroom, staring down at the truck and the man. She tried to imagine what kinds of memories he had made and stored in those boxes, but she hadn't ever known anyone who seemed like him so she couldn't guess. She decided to float towards the door; she could walk but on days like this she felt a little tired and light. It was probably because a new moon was scheduled for later that week.

Jared felt a little cold all of a sudden . He knew that the windows were shut and so was the door and was puzzled to what could be causing the cold air. He decided he would start to unpack his boxes in the living room, before getting his room put together.

Risa looked over at the man and noticed him react slightly like the living always did. She smiled to herself, it was nice to get confirmation once in a while that she did, in fact, exist. She saw his boxes and felt her curiosity getting the better of herself. Well, if we're goin' to live together I should introduce myself anyway, right? She reasoned with herself before attempting to open a box.

It was a bit hard, because she was so weak that day, but Risa finally got the flaps open after what felt like half an hour of trying but was probably just a few moments.

Jared went upstairs and put his bed together. It was getting late and he was feeling hungry , though not sure if he had the phone book he was given. He laid on the bed still feeling like there was someone else in the house. He figured it was because he was feeling tired.

Risa noticed the man hadn't eaten yet or noticed her, and looked like he was going to sleep. He seemed like a nice guy, and she didn't like being unnoticed after all this time, so she went through his things and got out a phone book with some difficulty, and searched through the pages for a pizza delivery place or something.

She wasn't sure what there was locally, but found a Thai place that delivered and left the page open while she thumped on the water pipes just under the floor.

((Sorry if I seem all over the place, I'm having too much fun with her character in my head.))

( that's alright. )

Jared heard the pipes clanging and turned on the light. He went down the stairs to see what was causing them to make so much noise. He saw the phone open to a Thai restaurant and realized how hungry he really was. He called the number and was glad that they delivered. He felt there was someone behind him and turned around to see if there really was.

Risa smiled, but felt a bit spooked when the man turned around to look at her. He can't see me, he can't see me. I'm the ghost, I'm the one who scares people, she thought to herself as she stood there next to the wall. She let herself fade into the wall, and lingered inside it for a moment before she came out the other side.

That was one of the best things about being a ghost, she felt. She could hide inside an object for a bit if she was feeling tired.

Jared grabbed the money when the delivery man came with the Thai food. He took it to the kitchen and got a paper plate, not having unpacked his regular dishes. He still wondered if there was someone else in his house, it felt there was a non threatening presence nearby. He ate his dinner alone, wishing he had some company.

((Sorry I'm a bit late))

Risa sat on the counter in the kitchen, watching the man eat. She wondered if she was a creeper for that, but there wasn't really anything more interesting to do. It was just so nice to have some company, even if he couldn't see here or talk to her. A month alone, not knowing where she was (just that it definitely wasn't home), was incredibly boring and it was surprising she hadn't gone crazy. Or maybe she had. It was hard to tell these things yourself.

( that's alright.)

Jared finished up and put the leftovers in the fridge and went to the living room. He wasn't tired and decided to unpack some more boxes. He had the feeling again that someone was watching him while he ate his dinner. He figured he was just stressed from the move, but he still didn't believe it was .

Risa froze a bit when the man walked next to her, she'd sat by the fridge so he couldn't think much if he noticed the cold spot, and slid off the counter to follow him back to the living room. Everything was moving so fast, changing between rooms every fifteen minutes it seemed! Before she would just lie in a sunny spot in the bedroom like a cat all day.

Coming back to the present, she watched him look at the boxes and stood off to the side, ready to help unpack once he left the room.

Jared continued to unpack things and was feeling tired. He laid on the couch and closed his eyes to relax a little bit, but fell asleep there . He didn't realize how tired he really was.

Risa watched as he fell asleep on the couch, and decided now was the time to start helping out. First, though, she looked around a bit for a blanket and with some difficulty laid it over the sleeping man. The house got drafty, and probably especially so if she were to be moving around causing breezes.

Now, she stood looking at the boxes and the stuff that was already out around the room. Seeing a bedside table and a dresser, which she guessed would go into the bedroom, she decided to move the little table to the bedroom rather than the big dresser. She didn't think she was able to exceed her strength when she was a alive.

((...Do you want the house to be two stories and a basement or just one? xD Since I already made the cliche haunted basement call.))

(Just one story with a basement.)

Jared woke up the next morning with a blanket on him, not sure if he had placed it there himself . He also saw some boxes open, wondering what was happening in his house .Jared hoped this house wasn't haunted, as he sat up and tried to figure out what was really happening.

Risa lay curled up on the floor of the bedroom, wondering when the sun would be high enough to cast a nice square of warmth on her. She also wondered if the man wanted to put in curtains or use some blinds. If he brought blinds, she hoped they were the nice wooden kind instead of the tacky aluminum stuff she grew up with.

Jared got up and grabbed his tape measure out of a box. He wanted to put blinds in the bedroom. He was thinking of the nice wooden ones he had seen at the hardware store , having a feeling that they would go good in here. He felt cold again and shivered a bit. He finished this project and went to take a shower , knowing he needed to get groceries today.

Risa lay on the ground as the man measured the window, staring with blurry eyes as he was outlined by the morning light. He stepped in her a couple of times, but she didn't really feel it. She let herself drift back to sleep when he left the room.

Jared got dressed and went to the store to get what he needed. He also got the blinds for his room . An hour later he came back from the store and took care of the food. He wasn't looking forward to putting them up, but knew he had to. He made some coffee and would put the blinds up once he was finished.

Risa looked out the window a bit, then went to check on the man. New blinds! And the nice kind, as well. She watched him go to the kitchen and gathered up the things he would need to put them up, putting them in a pile on the square of light made by the unobstructed window. Nails, right? And the blinds, of course. And... A hammer. She found some screws lying around the house, and a screwdriver in one of the boxes, just in case those were needed instead.

Risa wasn't very good with hardware, but her parents were do-it-yourself kinds of people and she usually just gathered up the items they needed, handing them off to her dad standing on the ladder above or her mother crouched under the kitchen sink below.

Jared found the tools he would need in the square of light. He didn't remember if he had put them there or not, but wasn't going to think he was crazy. He grabbed the nails and the hammer and began to put the blinds up.

Risa watched with a huge grin on her face as the man set up everything, using the hammer and nails. She picked up the screws and screwdriver and ran back to the boxes, and started searching through them to remember which one she had gotten them out of.

Jared finished putting the blinds up in the bed room and stepped back. He saw how they improved the room greatly. He still felt cold for some reason. He went to the living room and went to measure the windows, not sure if he would put curtains up .
