Is anyone feeling excited about the Xbox 720 and the PS4 that will be officially announced in the next few months?

There are so many rumours brewing about both of these monster machines. Will they play used-games? Will they go to 4k resolution? Will they need constant internet connectivity? Will there be new controllers? Will you be able to purchase all new games online? So many questions! So few answers!

So, how are you feeling about these next-gen consoles? What are your thoughts on them? How do you feel about some of these wild rumours? Is there anything you're looking forward to? Is there anything you'd be unhappy with? Are you breathing into a paper bag from excitement? (I know I am!)

Next gen Xbox is rumored to have always-online drm.
The WiiU.. in my opinion it's hardly deserving of being next-gen, more like a half-gen. I've never really been a fan of gimmicks like touch and waggle either way.

..that last poll option describes me to a T. But I am cautiously optimistic about the Orbis if that counts for anything. 0:

I have to honestly see what's going to be announced. I enjoy Sony consoles. I like the first party games. I also like backward compatibility (holds her 60g passionately... Preciousesss). I'm hoping there is going to be some news on that.

I really hope there isn't any mention of 4K resolution. It's a waste to invest in something like that right now, especially how Sony's 3D TV was a major flop! Current 1080p technology is barely being tapped into, and can be so much more for what ever the current gen is going to be.

I don't even care about the Wii U. It's a Wii with a DS pad. End of story. Then again, the Wii couldn't really hold up to the 360 or the PS3, so Nintendo created a system that could. Excuse me, I will laugh my ass off right now.

I heard about the 720's constant internet connection/drm feature. I think that is a huge mistake that may cost MS in the end. Also, the rumors about not playing used games is already hurting them.

In the end, I have to wait and see what's going to be said. I've made some judgements, but those may all ending up being baseless fears brought on by the media and general nay-say from random people.
