Welcome to Olivander House, where not everything is as it seems. Olivander House, is a place for kids to go who have noplace else to go, because of "special tallents". The house only takes on a few children at a time, three boys and three girls. There is the headmaster in charge of the house, the caretaker, the tutor and the doctor as the staff of the house. The House itself is rather large, more like a mansion. There is the the east wing, whose rooms house the children, boys downstairs, girls upstairs. There are far more rooms then just six for the students, but most remain empty. The same is in the west wing, but this houses the staff. In the main portion of the house, it gets a bit more tricky. Entering the mansion, takes you into a grand hall, which is adorned by the grand starcase, leading up to the upper levels. Directly through the door to the left of the main hall leads into the dining hall, kitchen, and the courtyard garden. To the right, leads to the sitting room or livingroom, and the piano room or recreation room. Directly up the staircase, leads to the headmaster's office, they are not to be disturbed when the door is closed without knocking and waiting for permission. Under the stairs, there is four doors, two on the left, two on the right. The first on the left leads to the clinic, and the doctor's office. The second leads off to the boys dorm. The first on the right leads to the tutor room, while the second leads to the downstairs staff rooms. Upstairs, on either side of the headmaster's office, there are two doors as well. The first on the left leads to the main floor's bathroom, while the second leads to the girl's doorm. The first on the right leads to the library, and the second to the upstairs staff rooms. Out back, is a tennis and basketball court, a pool, as well as a vegetable and herb garden. The back of the home backs up to a forest.

Each student within the home has a tallent of their own, and is learning how to use and control it, as well as balance it within their life. Even the staff have a few tallents of their own, in order to keep their charges in check. Things seem great within the house, it is large and with plenty to do, and allows them to attend school, and have lives of their own. Something seems odd however. Although the House has had others come and go through it, some of them still come around, and how they act is a little odd. They seem like drones in a way, on edge and having secret meetings with the headmaster. Some are rumored to have vanished after leaving the Olivander House, and the staff is known to move around at night, whispering, and sometimes vanishing. A few students begin to suspect the people in charge of their well being, are up to something, but what can they do? How can they prove it? And are they ready for what they find, or will Olivander House 's secrets, swallow them all....

I have a question about the abilities, though.
I'm assuming it would only be fair for each student to have a different power or ability to some extent or degree. When you state that your character has psychic and mental based powers does that make all phychic abilities unavailable to the other students? And how many abilities would one character be permitted to obtain?

I do want all characters to have different powers yes. Since mine is psychic/mind baised, yes, all powers stemming from that or baised on that is off limits. If you are unsure, run the power by me, and I will clarify it.

Okay, but may I suggest that you make it slightly clearer for future comers? ^-^

Would Aura Perception~ The user can perceive auras, normally invisible fields of energy that surround every living thing, this can be used to sense emotions, health, power levels, or the user's moral alignment. They may also be able to sense auras surrounding inanimate objects under special circumstances.

And

Empathy~Power to fully interpret and replicate the emotions, moods, and temperaments of others. Not to be confused with Telepathy. People with this ability are often called Empaths

Be acceptable powers for my character to have?

I keep it broad to force people to get creative and branch out from the usual. I know I will have to refine it when I actually make my character. Those two would fall in line with mind baised powers so they would not work.

Darn, this is going to be difficult.. That sort of limits a lot of my character's choices >.<

Would paranormal abilities be off limits as well?

Depends. I am trying to get people to be creative and branch out, so keep looking lol

Would any of these be suitable?

Shadow Manipulation~ The ability to manipulate shadows and darkness

Disintegration~ Ability to disintegrate matter through touch or through beams

Fire and heat manipulation~ Ability to control the kinetic energy of atoms to generate, control or absorb fire

Morphing~ Ability to take on other forms. May be able to take on the abilities of the altered form

I would like a female role, possibly with the power of Literary Animation. Which is basically my character has to orally describe something, and it will manifest and become a reality. The more perfect types are those from a book that she has read aloud, for the ones she makes up aren't entirely perfect and may come out deformed or possibly turn against her.

Sezumie- New and creative, I like it owo so literary animation/reality manipulation in a way. That's fine. I will put it up there.

Would it be possible for him to have any of these:

Shadow manipulation~ I think someone mentioned this in an earlier post...fairly self explanatory. Being able to manipulate shadows and darkness, as well as completely "disappearing" in shadows.

Earth Manipulation~ ...being able to control the ground...sand included....yea... pretty self-explantory again

Shock Wave~ Ability to shoot sonic waves from one's hands capable of breaking through concrete and breaking the sound barrier causing pain to people in the area.

Dream Viewing (or hopping)~ Being able to view/enter/hop into someone else's dreams, temper with it, or just simply be there. By doing this, it is also possible to see into ones past

Whichever is fine.

I did not want people with the same powers, and mine was baised on mind/psycic powers. I have decided to use Technology/electric baised instead, so if you want the mind based ones it is up to you.
