I have been away from Menewsha for almost a year, but I am looking for long-term, Literate partners to role-play with. I am 23 years old and have been writing for about ten years, and role-playing for eight. I consider myself to be Literate to Advanced in my writing skills, but I am not infallible. I can sometimes make mistakes, and I do not expect everyone to be at the same level as me.
I don't mean to come off as sounding like someone snooty or unapproachable. I'm really quite friendly, but due to my Asperger Syndrome, I tend to use words that make me sound smarter than I am. Please do not let that discourage you from coming in and chatting or requesting a roleplay.
Now that that is out of the way, I'll get on to what I'm interested in. And just so you know, I can only roleplay Hetero pairings. I've never done Yaoi or Yuri and would be uncomfortable starting now. Also, I don't do Original roleplays, they just don't interest me at all.
What I am Looking For in a Partner
- Someone who can contribute to the plot without consulting me. (I hate being the only one thinking of everything.)
- Someone who can Double as either OC's or Canons.
- Someone who is not afraid to tell me if things are getting boring. (We can try to spice things up. Too many people drop out on me because they don't tell me things.)
- Someone who will let me know if they are going to be gone for a while. (I'm talking a week or longer. Don't just apologize after being gone for a month.)
- Someone who can post at LEAST once a day or every other day.
- Someone who is willing to be friends outside of the RP. (Even if the RP ends for whatever reason.)
- Someone who can post a LEAST one decent paragraph. (6-7 sentences. Give me something to reply to.)
The Fandoms/Pairings I am Looking For
(<3 out of 5 = craving level. !! = plot ideas. Bold = preferred role)
Feel free to suggest pairings I have not listed. Though I will warn you now I will stomp upon requests to RP Kratos/Raine and/or Jade/Natalia.
Stuff Running Around in My Head
This is where I will list my current plots
Tales of SymphoniaX
Yuan/Martel
Set during the journey 4000 years ago. When Yuan and Martel first met as they, along with Mithos and Kratos, traveled the world of Aselia; looking for a way to end the war between Sylvarant and Tethe'alla.
Yuan/OC
Two years ago, Colette Brunel died at the hands of the assassin Sheena Fujibayashi. However, Sheena's success was a fluke, as she had not necessarily been aiming for the Chosen during their fight in the Balacruf Mausoleum. Still, her mission was a success, and she fled back to Tethe'alla with the help of the Renegades. With no way to revive Colette, Lloyd ran off in despair back to his home. Raine and Genis, however, did not immediately return to Iselia. With the world still declining at an alarming rate, Cruxis discovered they could not wait for another Chosen to be born out of the Mana lineage. They would have to search for the next closest mana signature of someone already living in Sylvarant. And so the search began. When a suitable Chosen had been found, both Yuan and Kratos were assigned to find this new Chosen and ensure their safety.
Kratos/OC
Before the Journey even starts, as Kratos heads to Iselia to protect the Chosen, the most unexpected thing happens. A strange portal opens up right in front of him. Prepared for anything after reaching for his sword, he is slightly surprised as a young woman comes running out of the portal. Before he can even speak to her, she dodges behind him as a tall man steps out of the portal as well. The woman asks Kratos to protect her as the strange man suddenly attacks.
Kratos/OC
After the end of the game. Drifting away on Derris-Kharlan, Kratos is now alone. While the angels are around, they aren't much company. After several years of drifting, Derris-Kharlan begins to orbit a new world. Curious as to the reason why, Kratos ventures down to this new world. It is here he discovers that this new world is in danger of dying when he meets a woman trying to save the world.
Tales of the AbyssX
Guy/OC
Relations between Kimlasca and Malkuth are growing hostile once more. And no simple peace treaty can solve the growing tension this time. No, this time a marriage pact is required. A member of a noble house for both nations are selected. Gailardia Galan Gardios has been chosen for Malkuth, and he has no idea who his bride will be until he meets her in Daath for the ceremony.
Asch/OC
Daath has kept many secrets, but it seems Mohs has kept the biggest secret of all. Asch accidentally overhears a conversation between Van and Mohs about a girl whose very existence could spell the collapse of the Order of Lorelei. Mohs asks Van to track her down and either bring her back to the Order, or to simply kill her. And even though it's really none of his business, Asch decides on impulse to try and save this girl. No matter what it might cost him.
CrossoversX
Yuan/Martel
Many years ago, a portal opened between the worlds of Welgaia and Auldrant. After discovering the new world, Mithos heard of the technology known as Fomicry and sought out it's creator. He made a pact, an agreement, with the man known as Jade Balfour, the father of Fomicry to create an isofonic replica of his dead sister, Martel. Extracting her data proved slightly difficult, but with it in hand, Jade returned to the research lab and began running tests. The creation of her replica however, was going to be even more difficult. Since the other world used a different life energy source, there would be no way to create an isofonic replica unless he could recreate and harness this other energy. He returned to Welgaia and spoke of this with Mithos, who game the scientist some Aionis and Mana Fragments for the procedure. It took several years, with many failures, so many in fact, that Jade abandoned the project and soon after abolished the practice of Fomicry. But the data was not erased. One of the researchers on the project had been stealing data and even some of the fragments needed to create the replica. Now, in the year ND 2018, the researcher finally succeeds in creating the replica, and named her after her original. She soon became discovered by the Order of Lorelei and as a Seventh Fonist, she was assigned to assist Asch. But when the two of them were at odds, they accidentally caused a hyper-resonance that sent them into the world of Sylvarant.
I will add more when I get them.
This is Who I Am
Samples of my writing/role-playing style.
MartelX
.Martel.
It was very early in the morning. So early, in fact, the sun had yet to rise and light up the sky. With her keen eyes, Martel glanced around their campsite. Mithos was lying peacefully in the bedroll right next to her, and Yuan was fast asleep on the other side of the still smoldering campfire. As for Kratos, there was no sight of the auburn haired human. She could only guess that he was patrolling the area to make sure no monsters were around. She breathed in deep, smelling the musky, earthen scent of the forest around them. To think that only months ago, Mithos and herself had been exiled from their home due to one simple misunderstanding. And now they were on a journey to stop this pointless war.
She gently stroked some of Mithos' hair from his face as she thought. Her brother was so young, only fourteen years of age, and yet he had already displayed so much courage and determination. Martel knew that their current objective was to learn the art of summoning, because without the help of the spirits, they had little to no chance to stop the Kharlan War. This war was the very reason why the Giant Kharlan Tree was dying, why the land itself was dying. The magi-technology was draining the land of mana, without which, every living thing would die. Mana was the very source of life itself, and the Tree produced mana to support the world and every living thing in it. If the Tree was allowed to die, the land would die, and everyone in this world. The thought made her very sad.
The sound of footsteps nearby made her tense and alert, her eyes scanning her surroundings frantically. It wasn't until she could see his silhouette that she was able to relax. Kratos walked back into the camp, his maroon eyes watching her, most likely wondering why she was awake. "I was just wondering where you were, Kratos." She said softly so as not to awaken anyone. The man glanced away from her before sitting down. "I was just checking the perimeter." He answered, equally quiet. He was very unusual for a human, especially one raised in Meltokio. From what Mithos and her had seen, half-elves were treated most cruelly there, and yet Kratos had come to their defense. He had even renounced his position as a Knight and left the city behind to travel with them. He was a rare soul indeed to not judge people based on their race. And she knew her brother had grown rather fond of the human. "This forest is very peaceful. It almost reminds me of the forests around Heimdall." She said with a sigh.
Kratos glanced back over at her, barely moving his head at all. "The sun will be rising in a few hours. You should get some more sleep." He said simply. Martel shook her head slowly. "I'm really not all that tired anymore. Besides, you need to sleep as well, you've been awake since the rest of us went to sleep." She said to him. The man sighed and stood up, walking over to Yuan. She watched, bemused as Kratos nudged the sleeping half-elf awake with his foot. Yuan did not look pleased to be woken in such a manner, but held his tongue when he noticed her. "I'm going to get some rest, you finish the night watch." Kratos stated as he walked away from the blue-haired man. Martel watched as Kratos rolled out his bedroll and went to sleep. She could never really tell with him, but she felt he was a light sleeper, always on alert. "Sometimes, I really hate that man." Yuan complained as he yawned and rubbed the sleep from his eyes.
Martel laughed softly as she looked at him. "You've known him for a long time. Longer than Mithos or I could boast." She said gently. Yuan looked at her before looking away. She had a feeling that he liked her, but he never spoke the words. There were only signs, ways that he acted, mannerisms she had come to understand, that told her how he felt. Mithos didn't like Yuan very much, and she could understand why. For as long as either of them could remember, it had just been the two of them, and Mithos wasn't very keen on sharing her. After all, she had raised him after their mother died, it was only natural. Still, the boy was fourteen, and she needed to start creating a gap between them so he wouldn't hold on to her forever. After all, she did want to lead her own life. Mithos would always hold a special place in her heart, but she couldn't live her life with him constantly at her side, it would just be... awkward. "We fought on the battlefield more times than I care to count." Yuan scoffed. Martel merely smiled at him. "And yet here you are now. Traveling with the very man you claim to hate. He's really not so bad."
Yuan rolled his eyes at her words, but his body language told her another story. While he might never admit it, he was beginning to accept Kratos, and possibly think of the human as a friend. This was the very thing she was looking for. For years, she had been trying to find a way to prove that the races could live together peacefully. That humans, elves, and half-elves could get along. And here was her proof. Even though Kratos was no doubt raised in an environment where half-elves were treated like scum, he was still a decent human being. As for Yuan, he had been in the Sylvarant army, a commanding officer, a rather high rank, despite the fact that he was a half-elf. The thought of a world without discrimination, that it was truly possible, made her smile. There was still hope.
ArianaX
.Ariana.
The days were starting to blur together. Hunting was becoming a natural part of her daily routine. It was hard to believe that everything was fine and peaceful a few months ago. And then, out of nowhere, the monsters showed up, attacking people and villages at random. Her home had become a target for the monster attacks. With her help, as well as help from some of the villagers, they had built a wall to keep the monsters out. And soon after they formed a squad to hunt down the monsters to keep them from attacking the new walls. It helped having some military training, everyone here looked to her for advice. She didn't need the stress of it, and so she would come out here into the woods beyond the wall.
She had her rapier sheathed on her left hip, and a dagger sheathed on her right. Currently she had her bow at the ready, an arrow already notched to the string. Ariana took a deep breath, focusing on the scent of the trees, the earth. Coming out here was the only thing that could calm her anymore. Her long black hair was tied back in a ponytail to prevent it from getting in the way. She stepped lightly, sweeping her eyes over the ground to avoid stepping on anything that would make too much sound. The leaves rustled softly as the wind started to blow. Training her eyes ahead of her, she drew back on the bow a bit. There was something moving ahead. She stopped where she was, gauging whether or not she would need to release or simply relax.
Without any warning, a small wolf lunged out of the brush ahead and charged at her, fangs bared in a snarl. Ariana aimed carefully, timing the wolf's stride to her breathing as she released the string. The arrow soared through the air and found it's target, right between the wolf's eyes. The beast yelped once as it stumbled over it's own feet and slid to a stop before her. With a sigh, Ariana reached for another arrow and moved on. She could try to get her last arrow back and clean it off, but she wasn't really focused. Something felt off about today, the forest around her was too quiet, too devoid of life. Ariana narrowed her eyes as she notched her new arrow to the string of her bow and walked farther down the path.
A sudden gust of wind caught her off guard as she tried to shield her eyes from the dust. When the wind died down, Ariana noticed a glow out of the corner of her eye. She turned toward it and her mouth opened in shock as she saw a swirling white light. It was very bright and grew in intensity until she had to close her eyes and look away. Eventually the glow was gone and she opened her eyes. Below where the light had been lay a scorched clearing, and a small golden egg. As she picked it up, she was surprised by it's incredibly cool surface, it was barely the size of her palm. She smiled, enchanted by it's beauty as she closed her hand around it and turned back towards the village.
Zelos WilderX
.Zelos Wilder.
"Hey Zelos? I trust you, okay?" Lloyd said to him as the brunet teen followed their allies out of Flanoir. Zelos felt something twist in his gut at those words. He'd been playing everyone for fools with his goal solely on his mind. All his life, at least since that incident, he had wanted to be rid of his duty as the Chosen. After all, the Pope had never liked him, the thought of having a Chosen that the Church couldn't control. He knew they were the ones who had plotted to kill him, it had nothing to do with his sister. Still, they had blamed it on her just because they could. His entire life had been nothing but a farce, at least as far as he was concerned. Sure, he had a great life, he was rich, had a great house, could probably sleep with any woman he wanted, but that's not what he wanted. He wanted to be normal. He wanted to be free.
He watched Lloyd and the others ahead of him as he followed along silently. This really wasn't going to be easy. It was stupid for them to trust him. He'd been spying on them this whole time, informing Cruxis and the Renegades of their movements, and yet still they trusted him. Well, Lloyd was the only one to say it, and yet still it meant something. That kid could see him for who he really was, and accepted him. Zelos had never experienced that with anyone before, and while he suspected Sheena could feel that way for him, he'd never shown her his serious side. He just wasn't comfortable with the idea of people seeing who he really was. After all, he's already crafted his mask, and he wore it well. And having lived with it for so long, it scared him to think about taking it off. Yes, that's right, the thought of being himself scared him. Could he really betray them? They'd already suffered a betrayal from that man, Kratos. The same man who wanted him to help them by sneaking off to find Aionis somewhere in Welgaia.
He wasn't sure what side to choose, he'd been playing all sides for his benefit. And he did want to be relieved from his duty, but he also wanted to help them. If he helped them out, maybe someday he could convince Sheena that he wasn't a bad guy. He'd never confessed it before, but he actually liked her, more than he liked those other women he flirted with. But she thought he was a joke, a pervert who would never settle down with one girl. She didn't know the real him. As they landed outside of the Tower of Salvation, Zelos took a deep breath to steel his nerves. It was now or never. He had to choose a path. Betray them, or help them out. They were trying to do what was best for both worlds, and he admired that. If they ended this stupid system, that too would remove his duty as the Chosen. But what did he really want?
Inside the Tower, he moved at a faster pace, easily overtaking the lead. When they entered the central chamber he sighed and then smiled his usual smile. "Hey, Colette. Come over here for a second." He said, motioning for her to follow him. The blonde smiled at him as she folded her hands together. "Oh, okay Zelos." She said before she walked over to him. The warp pad lit up as Pronyma appeared, immediately grabbing the blonde Chosen. "Wha-? Hey! What's going on?" Lloyd cried out in surprise. "Pathetic. Did you actually think Zelos was helping you? He's been working for us the whole time." Pronyma proclaimed. Lloyd turned to look at him, the boy's eyes wide with shock and horror. "Zelos?" Zelos smirked, he had been good at lying for so long. "Sorry, guys. But Cruxis offered me a better deal. I never really believed that you would win this. Don't worry, I'll take good care of Colette until she becomes Martel's vessel." He proclaimed.
He heard them cry out many names, but none of them affected him, because he knew what he was doing now. The warp pad lit up beneath him as it whisked him, Pronyma and Colette to the upper level. Zelos let out the breath he'd been holding and turned to face Pronyma. "You're sure Yggdrasill is going to keep his end?" He asked. He had to ask to avoid suspicion. She turned to glare at him. "You've held up your end, so yes. You'll have to wait here, though. Humans aren't allowed in Welgaia." She turned and dragged Colette away, who was looking at him with pleading eyes. Zelos turned away from her and waited until they were gone before he took off to find the Aionis. As he moved, he opened the Communicator and punched the button with his finger. The screen lit up and Kratos' face appeared. "Alright, so where do I find the damned Aionis?" He asked. He could see the man's face relax somewhat and knew, somehow, that he was making the right decision.

Actually I just saw your "Other series" tag and clicked on it, so if you wish for a roleplay partner I am quite good at it.

These are ones I can do, I haven't re watched yu yu hakusho in awhile, but, it's easy to find those episodes to catch up rather quickly.

Oh, you noticed that did you?
I'm just about to get started with a YYH rp on another site, so I'd rather do one of the other two.
So, out of Avengers and X-Men, the one I want to do more is... Avengers.
Right now I only have one OC for Avengers, and she's supposed to be paired with Loki... but I could pair her with anyone you're comfortable playing as.
Oh that is fine with me. Sorry for late reply, I have been a bit worn out since work had picked up, and then a bit drama on the side I guess you can call it.
Avengers movie or cartoon? (I know both, it just helps to know how to imagine this)
I can probably pull off Loki since I know the way he acts, but, as far as getting with another person...no wait I think I can still pull it off.
Your OC/Loki
Would you be able to play someone for an OC of mine then?
That's okay, I've been out most of the day today myself.
And movie. I could try to familiarize myself with other versions, but for now, that's what I know best.
It shouldn't be too difficult, since my OC isn't technically human.
And yeah sure. Which canon would you prefer? I think I can play pretty much any of them from the movie (with a little research on the side)
And I'm pretty sure I can play as any one of them. Tony's personality is kind of like a character from Tales of Symphonia, albeit a little different. But when it comes to all the technology stuff, I'd be making guesses and making stuff up mostly. But I could still try.
As for Thor, it would be kind of ironic to play him with you playing Loki for my OC.
And Steve is fairly easy to portray as a character, as well.
As I mentioned, my character isn't human, and she's actually been exiled from her home world. And she was forced to live on Earth. However, she does have the ability to traverse dimensions, but her home is closed to her.
oh interesting, your OC is like my old one i keep changing.
Well I didn't know if your character would know Loki in any sort of way or not. Most roleplays I do, the characters know each other.
I haven't figured out my OC yet, but, I'm not sure if she will be human or not. (side note, my thinking process is limited considering my sibling is right next to my left ear)
this is my girl Kaylee I hope to give her a better name later, in fact I will change that super name now, but, I have her created. Is this alright? Background will be made up later, but, she is somewhat like an angelic being type person.
I found mine on deviantart under photography and just listed the hair & eye color I needed.
also yay you're online
Alright, do we have all we need? Should we make bios? I mean I know mine is already done, but, we don't have to have them. We could just use name & picture. I am not sure what you would rather do.
We have pairings: OC/Loki & OC/Captain.A.
We have the base line: Starting after the movie
we just need plot right? lets see...how to do this...*thinking thinking*
Warning: It's raining/storming, I might randomly have to get off or stop posting maybe. About to get some red soon.
So your character helps him out? will the avengers know he got away? I figured Thor would tell them or Jarvis would find out somehow.
As far as my character goes, I figure she would show up later to help out. So she might not have a big part as far as "hero time" goes until a battle appears and they need help. She wouldn't know the avengers personally, but, maybe she was a fan growing up of super heroes and things like that. So meeting the avengers would be her top goal.
That's okay, I understand. Storms where I live usually aren't severe enough to force me off the computer, but they can be more severe in other locations/areas. So I totally understand.
Essentially yes, she would help him. She has her own goals as well, though. So she wouldn't help him for nothing.
And that sounds fine. It sounds like a plan at least. And I think it would make more sense for Thor to be the first to inform the others that Loki escaped. After all, he would likely be the first to know/find out.
