I checked and haven't seen a thread for the series, so I might as well give it one, in celebration of its new book.
For those who don't know the series, Maximum Ride is a James Patterson young adult novel about genetically modified children, ages between 6 and 14, who are 2% avian. Come talk about the flock, which characters are your favorites, and please, do warn for spoilers. There are six books, the last one quite recent!
I just started Fang this morning. I only started the series not too long ago but I love it! XD From what I've read on some other sites I thought it was only going to be the six books but I work in a bookstore, got bored and looked up anything on the Maximum Ride series or a forthcoming book and I found book seven! XD It's entitled Angel and is due out April of next year I think.
I'm only a short way through Fang but it's intense so far. And Angel is turning in to a little hellion lol.
On a less surprised note... I love the maximum ride series and I can't wait to see what happens to them next. I think Angel is a little too powerful by the end of Max though?

Yeah, just finished Fang and I think I would lose all faith in authors if he hadn't made a sequel. Oh, and looks like I lied about the release date of "Angel". It's actually February 14th! Yay for being wrong lol
Valentine's day, huh? It kinda suits her! A bit too much, maybe! Maybe when they release Gazzy's it'll be on April fool's day XD
I have a love/hate relationship with Angel, as I'm sure many do. Still, I have a soft spot for Iggy, seemingly so carefree, yet holding so much back! The others dont even notice how many repressed emotions he has!
nah i dont think it suits her after fang i hate her even more than before. but im really annoyed how far apart the books are. as soon as i finished fang ( which mad my parents pissed cuz they bought it and i read it in one day he he) i went online to see when the next book came out and it said next year i was sooooo annoyed and i went moping around all day venting to anyone i could corner into listening to me (he he ) but im really annoyed at fang. i mean what the *beep* was he thinking?! they went through all that trouble for him to just...... well i'm not going to say because its a spoiler.
I have to admit this was a series, I hadn't planned on reading. My best friend told me about it, and kept urging me to read it because it was supposedly really good. I thought about checking it out, and finally got around to it earlier this year. I ended up borrowing the first book, because I didn't think I'd end up liking it anyways. Yeah well how wrong was I there I finished the book in record time, and fell in love with the series! It wasn't long after that that I bought books 2-4 I ended devouring those too. It truly is a amazing series, the idea is original from what I normally read. So it was nice to branch out reading something out of the norm for once. I'd have to say Iggy is my favorite, there's nothing wrong with Fang but I just prefer Iggy to him. He's a riot and is always cracking me up, especially when him and Gazzy pull the stunts they pull XD As for the last book I thought it was rather sad, especially with the way things went down. However I'm not giving up on the fact that the next book will deliver, so I'm not that enraged by what Fang did. Heh although I am going to go through a slight withdrawal, seeing how its going to feel like forever for ANGEL to come out!!
I have read all of the Maximum Ride books that are out that I know of. I kind of hated the ending of Fang. I really need to know what happens later. I totally cried while reading that.
Angel, I loved her at first. In the very beginning of the series. She was so sweet and innocent. But in the last few books I could tell evil was brewing inside of her. And in Fang, I HATED her! What happened to sweet little Angel? After that, I don't know if I could get myself to like her again.
I also like Iggy. He's smart, funny, and just amazing. I love all his tricks.
Max seems to be losing herself. She's losing control of the flock and a bit of herself. I wish her the best of luck in the future books.
Sorry if this is a spoiler, I will try not to give too much away to those that haven't read Fang yet. But I love that one guy who comes into the story. That one that was made for Max. I feel so bad for him. If Max chooses one of the guys, I'd be happy to take the other one. Either of them.
For one, I loved the books! Muh sister wanted to read the first one so I brought it home for her from school. I originally thought, Oh. This isn't going to be a good book. Then I read it right after she did && was immediately hooked. Good thing muh sister was too! She checked out the rest of the series from the library && bought them at the bookstore. I read each one right after her. I've still yet to read Fang. Too many books to read before it! I cant wait to though! Ima sure it'll be just as good, if not better, as the others were. Cant wait for the next book, Angel, to come out on Valentine's Day '11! I hope the series doesn't end any time soon. Cant wait to read more. <3

I love the maximum ride series, i currently own the first and last book and the first two mangas of the series. I heard that they are supposed to be making it into a novie soon, although, i personnaly believe they can't find the perfect actors tp play the pack what so ever.

Can you believe that max and ari are brother and sister? jeb is max's father? I was a little freaked about that at first and i felt sorta sorry for max....
The bird kids are played with through this whole series. I was proud of max for not killing the clone max like they wanted her to do.
Is it me or is angel gettin a little more creepier in this series.
I can't stand the fact that right after max and fang have finally hooked up, they have to split. I've wanted those two to hook up since he beginig of the series. And how dare jeb and the society say that max and fang can't be together,. I don't trust the newest bird kid what so ever.
I can't believe angel let fang die like that.... even though he was brought bvack to life I still think that angel should have a little more loyalty to max and fang than with her enemies.....
