Bio: Before entering the soul society, Kazutoshi had lived a simple, artistic life. He was the son of a rich, old family, not to mention the heir. He had been planning a wedding for his father's sake when he died.

Bio: Ume grew up in a traditional family learning the quincy way from her grandmother. When she passed away, Ume moved into a simple apartment with one bedroom. She finds her existence meager because there has not been too much activity lately.

Mitsuki woke up in her small apartment with a start and sighed.She hated early morning classes but knew this one was important. She took a quick shower and got dressed hoping that today wasn't going to like the others. Mitsuki had taken a year off college to take care of her dad and was slowly adjusting to life without him. Part of that adjustment was seeing ghosts , and that made Mitsuki nervous. She felt she was going crazy because of the ghosts. She grabbed her book bag and hurried out the door and hoped she wasn't going to be late.

Toshiro Hitsugaya was a bit tense. Hollow activity in the living world was quiet. In fact it was too quiet, and seemed like the hollows were being told to appear. He had been assigned to investigate and wasn't sure what to be looking for. All the other times he had been on these sort of missions he had an idea of what to look for. He waited by the Senkaimon gate and waited for person he was to be working with. Usually Matsumoto went with him, but she was feeling sick and this mission couldn't be postponed.

Ume let out a yelp as she fell out of bed. Her alarm was blaring from across the room. She cursed, threw her pillow at it, and put her glasses on. Another day, another class. She sighed and stood, pushing her brown locks from her face. She was up early, as per usual. Always one to rise early and get to class before everyone else. She showered and dressed at a leisure pace before leaving her apartment. She grabbed breakfast on her way to class and took her usual seat next to the window. She waited for her usual companion to arrive in their torturous class.

"Hmmm.... Hallows that are too quiet? That is very odd." Kazutoshi mumbled to himself. He was being sent off to work with someone else for the day to investigate what was happening in the living world. It kind of worried him that there might be something larger than the usual Hallow taking place. He shook his head, flipping loose hair from his face. He wondered who he was going to work with. He finally arrived and blinked. "Man, and here I thought I would be working with someone a little bit taller." He chuckled as he came up to Toshiro.

Mitsuki hated this class but was glad her classmates were nice to her. She saw Ume and gave a smile. "Morning Ume-san." Mitsuki said and sat down. She hoped that their professor wasn't late again and then lecture them on a topic not related to the class. She got her weekly homework out and looked it over hoping it was good enough.

" That's no way to address a Captain. I'm Captain Hitsugaya and we wll be working togeather. " Toshiro said and tried to keep calm. He hated it that new people pointed out his height. He sighed and hoped his pairing worked out. " We should be going. We can't waste time on something this serious.

Ume had been getting an odd vibe from Mitsukie and she was starting to worry. She wasn't privy to all her friends secrets and it got to her a little. The fact that Hallows were being so quiet kind of set her on edge. She frowned and tapped her pen against her notebook, "Think we might actually learn something today?" She asked, feeling just a bit tense.

Kazutoshi gave a bit of a shrug. He generally had a complete disregard for any type of authority. He tended to do his own thing but, then, he was usually pretty good at what he did anyways. Though, he did agree that this was serious. He sighed, "Well, captain," He drawled sarcastically, "Lead the way. You are the one leading this, are you not?" He raised a slim eyebrow, "I have a very bad feeling about this." He ran a hand through his hair irritably.

" On a scale of 1-10 , I give it a 4 that we do. " Mitsuki said with a small smile. She was doubtful that they would learn anything in this class , and was frustrated sine it was an important one to take. She saw a ghost look into the classroom and then float off. She had tensed a bit and hoped Ume didn't notice. The last thing Mitsuki wanted was for her friends knowing what she could see.

" As do I. " Toshiro said and entered the open gate. " We'll be cautious about this investigation at first. If things get worse we may need to use gigais. " Toshiro said. He hoped that they wouldn't need them and that he had Kazutoshi would get song well enough to fulfill this mission.

Ume felt the ghost go by but didn't glance in its direction but she noticed Mitsuki looking. She blinked, wondering what it might mean. She glanced at her friend just a little suspiciously before nodding, "I wouldn't even give it a four. Maybe a two if we are lucky. Our professor is going to ensure that we fail this class with how often that he is late." Ume grimaced just as the teacher came in. He was so unkempt and disorganized. "Oh great, here we go again.

"Cautious? That is the only way with this mission, through out the whole thing. There isn't even anything for us to attack in order for there to be no caution." Kazutoshi chuckled once more, "I wouldn't be surprised if we had to use gigais in fact. This mission just might take long enough."He shrugged, entering the gate as well.

Mitsuki noticed that there were only 5 people in class today and dreaded their teacher's reaction. Mitsuki knew he was drunk again and hoped he didn't make a pass at either Ume or herself again. She needed to pass this class since it was required for the classes she wanted to take next semester. At least she was passing the homework and test portion which was online based , but the lecture part she feared was going to be a disaster.

" We will be using gigais. Urahara-sama has them ready for us. " Toshiro said and didn't mind being in the living world for a while. He just hoped him being away didn't cause Matsumoto to think she could take a vacation. He knew she had good points but wished she would just realize them herself.

Said drunken teacher stumbled to his desk. His shirt was ruffled and now a coffee stain bloomed across the white material. Well, if you could call the dingy material that. This was a class she hated but no pleading was getting her anywhere with the President of the school. He would not place her in a class, not believing her or the other females. She at least was able to knock him out a time or two, especially when her friend was targeted. She would easily jump in the way. She knew how Mitsuki hated this class.

Kazutoshi shrugged, "Alright. Are we to play a role while we investigate? It would look a little odd for someone of your stature to not be in school." He said nonchalantly, taking a jab at Toshiro's height once again. He chuckled to himself. This was going to be an interesting mission and he hoped it yielded good results. That didn't mean he couldn't have any fun.

Mitsuki was glad that the teacher hadn't made any passes at her and that they may have learned something for once, but she knew there was 6 more weeks in the class and that her grade was a barely passing one. She had done everything she could to get transferred to an online course but the college president had denied every request.Once the class was over she waited outside the classroom and waited for Ume and hoped her friend wanted to go for coffee.

" We'll be in college." Toshiro said and ignored the mention of his size. He knew it was going to be a while till he was tall enough to avoid all those comments."As students we'll be able to keep an eye on any strange happenings that may occur while we are here." He added.
