A separate thread to my general discussion of Pokemon X and Y, here you can swap stories about those silly moments within the Pokemon universe. Please do not talk about the plotline of X and Y, in case people haven't played it yet. If you must, place them in spoilers.

What is a silly moment? It can be anything from weird battles, strange moves, or characters in the games. From Red, Blue, Yellow and onwards to now.

Some examples: NPCs usually pick strange moves to use, don't you think? I just battled one in the Electric Gym in X and he made his Dedenne use Snore... Even though it was still awake...

How can Diglett use Scratch? Does it use its mind powers?

How does the Fisherman with a whole team of Magikarp even expect to win battles? How do they level? They only learn Tackle at 15... And how come some Fishermen have level 25+ Magikarps? Don't they want a Gyarados?
