i'm fairly inexperienced to the whole thing though since, like amane, my parents aren't exactly comfortable with this sort of stuff!

I WAS SERIOUSLY LOOKING FOR THIS THREAD AND MY PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED OH MY GOD *does a happy dance* I'm really interested in making my own candles, though. That sounds like fun and relaxing too. Crystals sound really pretty, too. What got you interested in this kind of stuff, if you don't mind me asking? ^^;

I love crystals, i always have. I've been fascinated with rocks since I was little. I always wanted to be a geologist. I found out when I was grounded to my bed maybe around 14 years old (so about 10 years ago) my mother told me a family member was a witch who practiced magic. Now maybe she wanted to give me something to think about that day so I wouldn't be too bored.

But, I did find out (after being inspired to venture into the craft) that my great-great grandmother was a practioner and so was my great great grandfather (don't hate me for when I say this, but I found out he got away from a Cult like group thanks to my grandmother, I am trying to figure out which one, but I cannot remember right now) so they went off to do their own way of things. My grandmother now and her mother wasn't ever into that sort of thing. My mother is a little bit into it, but was raised more around the way her mother & grandmother were. So I grew up more freelance as far as what I would or should believe in.

I was told I had a choice. Now lately, with everything that has been going on, I have chosen more of my own spiritual path. I have noticed things on the side and ventured into making my own incense (and oils) as well as growing my own herbs. So it all started because I found out my great great grandparents were into it. Guess that's my spark, but I also love the idea of it existing out there.

I also like to try and make my own tea (once I get my tea kettle I want)

My friend that I met over the summer while I was away from home was really into aromatherapy and stuff, and the night before a big test (it was an advanced language course at a small university, I was studying Arabic. It's a hard language to learn...) she would always invite me and a couple other girls into her room to try out some new oils that she had sent over from her house. It was extremely relaxing and I have gotten interested in it recently >.<

*pokes her head in* this seems like a really interesting thread =3 I've always been curious about crystals but when I was a kid I never got to check them out cause my folks would always freak out if I asked about them. My parents are very much so Christian, I'm am too though I don't see things as black and white as they and their church do, but I never saw the harm in exploring other spiritual things.
Anyways, before I start to ramble lol, how do the crystals work? Is it like some kinda special thing you have to do with them?
