Sparta as "the Siren"
Mid-twenties
Brown hair with purple tips
Pale purple eyes
Tattoos on the right side of her body that are dark purple in color
Wields the power of Phasecontrol
About Sparta's Powers
Sparta's wings appear to be made from electricity and look bat-like in nature. These form when she consumes Eridium or whenever she pushes herself to the max. As far as powers go, Sparta's Phasecontrol ability allows her to push into another dimension with a foe and control them for a short bit of time. For example, if she is up against a Hyperion robot, she can phase her body and the robot's body to another dimension. While in the other dimension, she gains complete control over the robot (dead or alive) and is able to turn the robot against its comrades. She can do this with living things as well as any electronic creations.
About Sparta's Personality
Loud. Obnoxious. Messy. She's the girl that you love to hate. She's popular and people tend to fawn over her. She can come across arrogant and cocky, too. She's got quite the quip, when she wants. Tends to tease the boys, too.
Other Things about Sparta
She's a mechanic by nature. She loves to tinker and play around with things. She's famous for turning a Catch-A-Ride into a robot-driven car. She also modifies all her own weapons and grenades.

Axton as "the Commando"
Late-twenties (I have no idea)
Light brown hair
Green eyes (I think)
About Axton's Past
Quote:
Originally from Hieronymous, Axton spent ten years with the Dahl military force, reaching the rank of sergeant. After his pursuit of personal glory and disregard for orders led to numerous compromised missions, his wife and commanding officer Sarah simultaneously divorced him and discharged him from the military. Sarah made it a point to highlight that this would lead to his death by firing squad, then ordered him not to flee to any of the numerous border worlds beyond Dahl's reach. Taking her not-so-subtle suggestion, Axton went AWOL, using his skills and turret as a mercenary on other planets.
Axton became aware of the Vault thanks to a radio advertisement orchestrated by Handsome Jack, who had been monitoring the Commando's most recent bounty hunt.[1] Although Axton was turning in more bounties and making far more money than anyone else in Sheriff Youngblood's jurisdiction, he found that it was too easy, and the lure of fame, fortune, and challenging combat drew him to Pandora.
|
About Axton's Powers
Quote:
Axton is able to deploy a versatile Dahl Sabre Turret, a mounted gun featuring 360° rotation that can be upgraded with many weapons and abilities. The turret's duration is 20 seconds and its cooldown is 42 seconds.

My name? I've never known it. I've only heard names like "freak of nature" and things that relate. But I only know that this is what they refer to me as. It's not my actual name.
But I've heard others call me the "evolution of science" and "mother of new science" and in light, the man with the false face laughed hysterically and said "yeah, let's call her Eve. That should go well."
Age: I don't know that either.
My hair is a dark red, and I usually have it in a very long loose braid.
My eyes when I look in the mirror change from purple, to an electric blue, to poisonous green, and then to red. When I've blinked a few times, my eyes are a normal brown color.
What's wrong with me? I'm a human experiment. I was told that I volunteered for this; but I get a feeling in the bottom of my stomach that I wasn't.
I'm a human experiment for slag. Supposedly for the "betterment of humanity, society as a whole."
But tonight. Tonight I escape. I can no longer take the pain of the machines anymore. The man with the fake face can try all he wants to find me. But I will most likely be dead.
- - - - - -
She panted and ran. She knocked a few of the scientists out, but none of them were dead. It wasn't there fault. They were much trapped her as she was. Except there was a lot that separated her from them.
The main one was that she had nothing to lose. Her body was in so much pain from the machines, she ached to die. But no one would kill her. Not even if she begged and cried. She was in far too much pain, and no doubt far away from where she used to call home.
She ran out of the facility. As fast as she could. The robots attempted to shock her and knock her out; but she resisted. She shocked them to the point of an overload and the robots crashed. Their system couldn't take the electricity.
But, the officers, or the men on duty didn't see it as preserving science. They saw it as a danger to their well being. Which is why they shot at her. She smiled when she felt the first bullet hit her skin. Release. That's what she wanted.
But her body kept running. And she did kill them. If you asked her why, she would tell you that she didn't know. She wanted them to kill her. She wanted to die.
But by the time she had left the building, hell, the vicinity of the place, she was bleeding. She was bleeding out.

"Gotcha!" a glowing purple orb surrounded her body as well as that of a skag. "Time to take out your friends before I let you burn~!" Chirping with pleasure, the brunette with purple tips turned the skag on its friends. The gruesome creature tour into its family and just before it regained its mind, the Siren by the name of Sparta put a fire-infused bullet in the creature's head. "And another one bites the dust!"
Skipping, dancing, and hand-jiving away, she began her run across the flatland of Pandora. Fingers raising to her lips, she whistled for something in the distance. Out of nowhere came one of Scooter's catch-a-rides, only there was something off about this one. It seemed to be driving and moving without a driver. How as that possible? Well, Sparta the Siren was unlike most of her female friends. Sparta was an engineer, a mechanic, by nature and she just loved to tinker with things. She turned a Hyperion Robot into the 'brains' for her Bandit Technical. Sparta hated driving so he figured she would build herself a ride that could do all that steering and thinking for her. Now, being a Hyperion Bot, it wasn't the smartest of cars so she did run into the occasional wall. For the most part, it wasn't terrible.
Hoisting herself into the back of the ride, she gave the vehicle a good pat. It was a sign to start driving. A voice came from the speaker. "Where to now, creator."
"Eh, just drive." Reloading her Maliwan SMG, the woman paid no attention to where the vehicle wandered off to. It wasn't until she heard the familiar sounds of bullets and carnage that she pulled her head up from her gun. "Oh hell, what did you drive us into this time, Hyp?"
Rolling from the back of the car, she drew out her sniping rifle. Using the extended scope, Sparta's eyes scanned the ground before her. There, in the distance, she could see a woman tripping to her knees. "Holy snickerdoodles, Hyp, we need to go help her!" Jumping into the front this time, Sparta took over the controls and revved the engine. "Operation 'Save the Ta-Tas' initiate!"
Putting into the right gear, the reeled forward. Barreling down toward the bullets, she gave the e-brake a good hard tug to whirl the car around. Mud and dust kicked up from the back wheels, creating the perfect cover. Leaping from the ride, she scooped up the fallen woman and dropped her injured body in the back of the Bandit Tactical. Running to the front, Sparta was lucky to miss a few of the bullets that penetrated the dust cloud. Turning the engine over, she gave it a good kick and brought it back to life.
"Long live Sparta!" she screamed into the air before speeding away. Once she was far enough from whoever was pursuing the fallen woman, Sparta slid from her driver seat and flipping into the back cargo hold. "Oh honey, you look like hell." Bending over her injuries, Sparta pulled out some medical clothes and patched her up as best she could. "Here, drink this." Handing the woman a small tube of water mixed with meds, she smiled. "You're lucky to be alive, missy. Good thing ol' Sparta was around to save yer sorry arse!"

She was tripping, and she saw blackness, and for a moment, she thought she had reached her destination; Death. But it was only temporary unconsciousness. She groaned at the realization and then realized that a woman, with strange purple eyes, Eve hoped that her eyes were her normal brown, instead of changing colors. There was no way she could- would be able to explain.
Eve was put in the back seat, her muscles ached, it hurt to move, she was bleeding everywhere and it hurt to even breath. But when this 'Sparta' woman- Eve could hardly believe that someone, ANYONE on Pandora was nice enough to save a complete stranger- Though Sparta didn't really seem to be concerned with the bullets until they hit her car.
Once they were far enough from the Hyperion robots and personell, Eve noticed that Sparta came in the back seat with her, "Oh honey, you look like hell." Sparta pulled out some medical clothes and patched Eve up just a little, probably not a doctor then, Eve could only assume, "Here, drink this." Eve took the small bottle that Sparta handed to her, "You're lucky to be alive, missy. Good thing ol' Sparta was around to save yer sorry arse!"
Eve looked at her, and muttered with scarce pained breath, "Thank you."

"Psh, no need to thank me, chicky. We girl's gotta stick together." Glancing all over, Sparta was soon smiling as she came to realize a truth. This woman was not a siren. Just a normal human, if one could call Eve "normal." "The name's Sparta," she said while extending a hand and shaking Eve's. "And based on your little showdown back there, I'm gonna assume you're not a fan of Handsome Jack. And that means, you're a friend."
Kicking herself away so that her back rested against something other than air, the woman smirked. "But if you're not a friend, lemme know and I'll put a hole in your head." A tongue poked from behind her lips and a wink seized her eye. "So what's a babe like you doing out in the middle of here? And why were you taking on Hyperion all by your lonesome? Have you a death wish?"
Now was the time to ask twenty-questions and get a feel for this woman. Depending on her answers, Sparta had a hand reaching back for her pistol. It would be easy to whip it out and fire a few rounds into the girl. But, from the look of things, Sparta didn't see that happening. There was just something about this woman that kept Sparta from doing anything she would regret. Easing her trigger finger and slipping her hands into her lap, the brunette with the purple tips smiled. "You really do look like shit. Suppose I ought to bring you to a friend to get you all patched up."

Eve slowly drank the little tube that Sparta had handed her, Sparta seemed nice enough. And she was pretty straight and to the point. Eve had never seen the tattoo on Sparta's body and assumed it was something that she had put on herself.
She shook the girls hand and attempted a slight smile, "I'm Eve." At least that's what they called her at the laboratory. She didn't know her real name- she wished she did. She could only sigh. The lack of memories bothered her to no end. But now she had a name for the man with the false face; Handsome Jack. She would remember that when she ripped his heart out from his chest...
Eve took a moment to regather her thoughts calm her anger and to quell the fire in her eyes, she needed Sparta to trust her, not put a bullet in her, "I was escaping Hyperion." She stated looking in Sparta's pale purple eyes, showing her complete honesty, but she would not tell her that she was looking to die. Eve knew better than that. "They had me locked up... They..." There was no good way to say this, was there? "They experimented on me."
Then she looked away and into the endless place that was Pandora, "I don't think your friend will be able to reverse the damage...."

Listening to Eve speak, Sparta nodded. "Perhaps not. But he can at least patch you up." Hitting a bump in the road, Sparta had some lift. When she landed back down, the woman gave her rump a good rub. "Sorry about the rough ride. Tends to happen when I overuse him. Getting laced with bullets probably didn't help either...." Trailing off, her eyes wandered out across the wasteland around them. "So, Eve, do you travel alone?"
It felt so odd to ask someone that question. Sparta was a loner and wasn't fond of people prying into her isolation. And yet, there she was asking this girl all about her situation. Perhaps it was the loneliness setting in? For so long, Sparta was just Sparta. She didn't have an alley. She didn't have a friend. She had no one, but this Hyperion-rigged ride. But was that really a 'friend.' No, of course not. It was a car.
"So they experimented on you? You a siren?" Sparta knew she wasn't just by the lack of tattoos and markings. "Maybe a Vault Hunter as you don't share my skin designs." Lifting up her arm, she showed off her array of purple markings."To be frank, you don't look like one of those either. Why would big, bad Hyperion want a, no offense, measly little chick without any powers or guns?" Scoffing, Sparta wiped her nose. "You just don't look like their typical meal, you dig?"

"Those are the questions of my life." Eve looked at her, "And you're absolutely right. I wish I could answer those, Sparta. All I know is the life of the laboratory." She shrugged, trying to answer Sparta's curious questions, which were the questions Eve had asked herself for years. "I don't know who I really am." She sighed, "When all you know is machines that insert purple chemicals into your body and various tasks they want you to accomplish... What do you do?"
"I just know I needed to get out." What was causing her to be so talkative? She never truly talked to the scientists. But now she was talking to someone. An actual person.
"I'm not a Siren, I'm not a Vault Hunter... I mean..." She sighed again. There was truly no way she could explain her situation- not with her memory lapse. Those painful nights were they injected liquid fire after the slag application, she remembered all of the torture, all of the 'tests'. But nothing before that.
"So. What about you? I mean... Do you travel alone?"

Just by what this girl was saying, Sparta knew that Eve went through hell and back. Poor girl, she thought to herself. If only there were someway to make it all up to her.
Hands slamming into her opened palm, the brunette cracked a grin. "You know what, Eve, I'm going ot help you get your memories back. I'll help you figure out what's going on and why you were in the damned place." It was an odd thing to state so openly and boldly, but that was Sparta for you. She was all about action and adventure. The idea of trekking around with this woman sounded fun. Besides, it's not like she had anyone else. Completely alone, the Siren was free to jump from person to person, as she so pleased. Right now, Eve seemed the more interesting. If a better story arose, she would jump ship and hop onto the next chapter.
"I'm a lone siren. People tend to not like being mind-controlled. My ability, Phasecontrol, is a major turn off. I can control enemies and allies. Who'd have thought that people don't like getting someone else in their mind!" She cackled a bit. "So they inserted purple chemicals into you. Only thing around here that I know that's purple is Eridium. But why the hell would they chuck you full of that? It's only good with Sirens." Hand tapping her lower lip, Sparta just rolled her shoulders in a shrug a few seconds later. "Yup, it makes no sense."
The girls had probably been traveling for about two hours and were close to their destination. Standing up, which was hard to do unless you had sea legs, Sparta peered across the horizon. "Whelp, this is our stop. We're heading that way." Pointing to something off in the distance, she gave Eve a good nod. "Might not look like much, but that bandit outpost has Quincy. He's a bang-up doctor who will do a better job at getting your wounds patched. He might know what they were doing to you too. If not, this cray chick who lives nearby might know something."

That word rung through her head like a bell at a church, Eridium She had heard that several times, but never knew what it was or it's uses. But from what she heard around the laboratory Eridium was a solid mass. Nothing they could put into a needle, muchless a machine... Right? But yet... They were making this stuff FROM Eridium. She just couldn't wrap her finger around it.
And when she found those nights were she was the most lonely and afraid, an Angel had told her that she could escape. That there were people that could help her. She believed her.
That Angel eased her through the night. Told her that she was human, she was real. But... Eve also had a feeling that this "Angel" also helped the man with the false face, or this Handsome Jack fellow get Eve. But Eve wouldn't know- she would have to gather clues. She knew that there were two sides to ever coin.
When Sparta clearly wanted Eve to make a decision she felt like a Skag in the headlights. "Whichever you think is best..." The Eve made a mental note, they might both have information; "Why not visit both?"

With the ride finally over, for the girls were near their destination, Sparta shot from the back. Car parked a few clicks away from the village, she extended an arm in Eve's direction. Helping the girl down, the brunette pointed dead ahead. "As per your request, we'll see Quincy and Tannis. Just be warned, these two are a batshit crazy. I'll make sure Quincy doesn't lop off your leg and Tannis? Eh, I'll do my best to make sure she doesn't start stabbing you with needles. The girl's a scientist. Lost her mind, but she's the smartest thing on Pandora."
The walk was probably about 30-minutes long. Nothing super intense, for Sparta was just fine walking at an easy pace with her hands swinging happily to her side. A few times she even tried to whistle, but got frustrated at herself for being unable to produce anything that wasn't airy or hum.
Standing just outside the gates, Sparta sent a daring look at the two boys who were perked outside the wall. "Well, open up." Tapping her foot, her hand shifted to her hips. "Any day now would be nice." She was getting antsy.
"Sorry but we don't allow her kind." The one guard pointed toward Eve.
"The fuck's that supposed to mean? You don't allow women?" With a scoff, she spit in the guard's direction. "Why I outta pop you square in the jewels for being so sexist!" If she had sleeves, she would have been rolling them up as she marched toward the shorter two of the guards.
"Whoa, hey listen! It's not women we hate. We're just not allowed to let people without the passport in. Captain's rules." Hands waving in front of his face, he tried to show a bit of compassion, unlike his counterpart.
"Are you really going to tell a Siren what she can't do?" Lips pulling back in a smirk, she snapped her fingers. In a second, the one guard fell under her control. "Are you gonna open this up, or shall I have you fight your friend to the death?"
Caving, the taller man slammed his fist into a button. A glaring beeping noise erupted between the sounds of metal-on-metal. He said something, but Sparta missed it. Releasing her phase-hold on the other guy, she sauntered on it, coaxing Eve along the way.
"I kinda wish he hadn't opened it. I love a good fight," she teased.
Inside the small town, Eve and Sparta would feast their eyes upon rundown shakes, a few littered boxes, and about a dozen people doing their own thing. One woman was washing her clothes and another was flirting up a man. Two men were leaning against a billboard hoping for a posting while two more were arm wrestling for a gun. Down the way was a small red shack with a man sitting out front on a lawn chair. Grin forming on Sparta's face, she whispered to Eve. "That's Quincy for ya, a real beach bum."

"Sorry but we don't allow her kind..... Sorry but we don't allow her kind..."
Eve's blood boiled. It's not like she could help being experimented on. Her hands became hot, like fire, she looked at her hands with interest, this had never happened before.
When she heard the panic in the 2nd guards voice, no doubt due to Sparta's shouting, the fire-like feeling went away in her hands and she felt her eyes cool. No doubt returning to their natural brown state. What was going on with her? She shook her head, to shake these thoughts from her mind.
Though Eve did look up to see a man, under Sparta's phase control ability and the other hurridly pressed a button, opening the gates.
"I kinda wish he hadn't opened it. I love a good fight," Eve heard Sparta say.
Eve couldn't help but chuckle, "That's a nifty trick." She said, walking in, next to Sparta, "You're going to have to teach me that one day." She said, aloud, making the guards more nervous, but Eve knew better.
She wondered where this instant fire came from. A spark in her personality. Maybe it was the same fire from before? What other secrets could these experiments have in store for her? She was bound to find out... And she looked forward to it.
But showing some spunk was good, right?

"You learn to get over the sexism. There aren't many women who can cross Pandora and survive. I'm sure the dumbass was just confused by the fact that there were two women walking into town." Her hands opened up and she showed off the area. Sure enough, the amount of women in the open were pretty scare. "I would reckon that we're an endangered gender. They like to say, 'It's a man's world out here.' I think it's a bunch of bull. I know some women who are ten times tougher than the baddest of badasses. Why, these women would make Torgue whimper in fear." From the way she strut, it was clear that Sparta was talking about herself. She had successfully survived on the wasteland of Pandora and she knew her way about. Could she really take on Torgue? Maybe, but she wouldn't let herself get swept into that kind of drama. She was here to hunt things like a true Vault Hunter.
Sparta walked up Quincy's steps and lightly kicked back the man's hat. "Hey now," he began, "well I'll be slagged skag, it's Sparta. What's a lass like ye doing in my woods?"
Looking around, the woman scoffed. "Woods? I think you mean dump."
"To each their own, darlin." A patch veiled his left eye, which prevented him from noticing Eve right off the bat. When he did finally soak in her figure, he offered her a head bob. "Howdy-haw, miss. Welcome to my humble abode."
"Ah yes," Sparta shifted so that she presented Eve before the man clad in a plaid shirt and a pair of khaki shorts with blue flowers sewn on the pockets. "Quincy, this is Eve. Eve, this is Quincy." Dropping her hands and stepping away from the woman, the brunette took a stance beside Quincy. The guy was about Sparta's height and had blond hair and a mess of freckles on his face. "My girl friend needs some patching up. Think you can help?"
Leaning in, Quincy laughed before slapping his knee. "Pleas'a to meet you, Eve." Upon Sparta's request, he snickered. "You know I ain't a doctor, right? That's Zed, my cousin."
"Zed doesn't owe me a favor," a playful grin pulled up her lips.
"Oh shit, I forgot about that. Well, a promise is a promise. Eve, why don't you head on in and I'll see what's under the hood. If you've got any holes I should know about, lemme know and I'll patch them first."

Eve glanced back and forth between Quincy and Sparta. Sparta trusted Quincy, so why shouldn't Eve? She let out a small sigh, and when Quincy looked at Eve and mentioned a man named Zed for some reason or another Zed could be trusted as well. But who knows? Just another one added to the group who's bolts were a bit loose...
"Well..." Eve started out, "I got scraped here, here, and here-" pointing to various places on her body where one could see the graze of bullet holes that still hadn't fully healed.
"But then when you see here, here, here and here-" She began pointing to smaller holes, needle-like scars on her arms, her wrists. She was barely able to contain a memory that wanted to be relived when she pointed to all of them. There was no way she'd ever be 'normal' again.
"And then obviously there's my memory thing..." Boy she got chatty all of the sudden. And wasn't sure why.
With that she walked in the 'house'. It was quaint- but she was sure that this Quincy had more up his sleeve than she realized.
"Doctor or not..." She said, looking Quincy in the eyes with her dark brown orbs, "I need to find out what is wrong with me."

Sparta took a backseat to all that was happening. She was no doctor, or wannabe doctor, so she didn't want to poke her nose into business that didn't make sense. A smile was sent at Eve to reassure her that, should Quincy try to pull one on them, Sparta would be there to get Eve's back.
As promised, Quincy first started by patching the holes. It wasn't anything super complicated. He poured alcohol on the wounds and gave them a good, hard press while he either stitched or wrapped them. A few of them looked worse than the others, but he treated them all as if they were extremely bad. Once he was done with patching up her holes, Quincy pulled out two stools. One was for Eve and the other him. As he sat down, he pulled out a stethoscope to listen to hear breathing and heartbeat. Depending on what he heard would determine his course of action. But before he would say anything, he would also like to give her ears and throat a good look -- and he did as such.
"I need to take some of your blood and look at it under a scope." He was still holding back information, but that was because he wanted to wait until he had everything. He needed to have all the data before he made speculations. Not enough data could lead to false results that could possibly lead to a riot or hasty decisions.
"I need you to hop up on this machine and run for about ten minutes. I'll hook some cords and tubes up to you and it will check your system. Just trying to see if your body reacts differently to stress."
In your next post, if you could write about her heart beat, breathing, blood, and sweat test results, it'll help me come up with Quincy's diagnosis. ;D

When Quincy was patching the wounds, Eve's face didn't move. She felt everything yes. But she had felt worse before, and bigger needles. The Alcohol felt like a weak version of the fire they had pumped into her system.
Eve looked at Sparta and gave a nervous smile, when she saw Quincy pull up two stools and stethoscope, she knew that she was getting what the scientists called at the laboratory a "check up" to make sure everything was running "normally". Not that anything about her was "normal" she was always in pain from the Eridium they pumped into her and then the elements that followed.
But, she stayed calm so Quincy could get her heart-rate. To her it was always what she remembered, therefore for her it was always normal. And so she breathed as she normally would. And with her breathing she felt the slight snap of lighting, the slight crackle of fire, the bubbling of acid, and the sluggishness of the slag around her lungs attempt to activate all at once.
bump,bump,bump.... bump bump..... bump, bump, bump went her heartbeat.
She was just about to ask what was next when Quincy told her, and then he drew blood, normal at first. But her blood had a different... shine to it. Almost like it shone and sparkled in the light and it had a slightly darker shade of crimson.
Then Quincy hooked her up to a machine. She saw an outlined version of her body lighting up with different colors and then she just started running.
She had no idea that when Quincy went to look under the telescope that he would find tiny tiny specks of each element in her blood. Like if someone put elements into a mortar and pestle and then put them inside blood.
She just thought her blood would be a normal red like everyone else. But she kept running.
Her sweat slightly zapped her skin, leaving slight 'burn marks' before disappearing. She didn't know if she was past 10 minutes, and she wasn't tired so she kept running.

((Sorry, I can't use color since I'm now sitting at a cubicle. I had to flip to image-less Mozilla so no one can see what I'm doing.))
With each test, Quincy's brows furrowed more. What in devil was going on? Why were these strange things happening? It made little to no sense. How could her heart clap like thunder or cackle like fire? A simple head scratch was just the start of his soon to be headache. Test after test started to draw similar results, which only made him all the more confused. It was time he brought in a second eye. It was time he find Tannis.
"Sparta, can you grab Tannis for me. I need her opinion before I give my diagnosis." Quincy started to slow the running machine and kindly escorted Eve to a nearby table. "Young miss, Tannis is... well, insane. She will be more invasive than me, but she can confirm my thoughts. If she pushes too hard or does too much, please let me know."
Moments later, a woman walked in and Sparta followed after. Hand falling on the other woman's hip, there was a smirk. "Quincy, what the hell are you bringing me in for? I don't do check ups," Tannis pivoted on her heal.
"This is no check up. Look," his fingers lingered over Eve's scars. "These came about after sweating." His eyes narrowed as he tried to signal Tannis back. Of course, the woman took the bait and immediately rushed to Eve's side. Within seconds, Tannis was stripped Eve and poking and prying into every pocket of flesh on the woman's body. Fingers in the mouth, hands firmly checking for breast cancer, eyes thoroughly inspecting every inch of skin. "Did you take any bloodwor-" her lips curled up into a smile. "Excellent."
The woman began babbling on about something. She sounded crazy. Something about toasted cheese, eriduim infection, Hyperion tech, and marshmallows. It made no sense, at least to those who didn't speak Tannis' language. Thankfully, Quincy was on-board and nodded along with the woman. He even interjected a few things like sizzling skags and pits of acid and a sip of sweet, salty tea. Seriously, there was no way any of this mad sense. Even Sparta was growing impatient.
Clearing her throat, the Siren tapped her foot firmly on the floor before clearing her throat again. "The hell is wrong with my friend," Sparta demanded. Her fingers curled into Eve's shoulder. She didn't mean to hurt the woman; she was merely bracing herself for bad news.
"I think," Tannis' eyes were wild, "I think we've-" Quincy took over.
"Found our first Eridium-infected human. Eve here, she has electric sweat, toxic breath, sizzling blood, and shimming slagged-skin." Quincy's smile widened. "She's a living legend! She's the first of her kind! A true Eve to mankind!"
A laugh came from behind Eve. It deepened and took a dark turn. "You're nuts. There is no way anyone can survive Eridium infections." Her hands plucked her chest. "I'm a Siren! Even my body can't sustain such strain. I need to keep consuming Eridium. Eve hasn't had one sniff of the stuff. How can she be running off Eri-"
"Experimentation, my dear Siren. Experimentation and enhancements." Quincy stroked his jaw. "Whoever created Eve, whoever gifted her with slag, shock, erosion, and fire -- they are here to start, and win, a war." His eyes fell on Eve. "She is the goddess of the battlefield. The prototype to a new weapon of war."

The words echoed in her mind 'they are here to start, and win, a war' her head swam in the dizziness of all of this information. She had been made into a weapon that was meant for winning. 'A true Eve to mankind' the phrase made her stomach swim and gave her a slight headache, she felt the fire pound in her head and she struggled to keep it down.
Eve looked down at her hands as the three of them continued to bicker and argue, but they got louder and louder and louder, 'The prototype to a new weapon of war... The prototype to a new weapon of war... '
"STOP!" Eve raised her voice and stomped her foot, releasing a small electrical shock, only meant to slightly zap them to stop arguing and bickering, "I have no idea what's going on either, but either way if I am a new weapon to a war, Hyperion won't stop looking for me- Yes, that's who experimented on me, no I don't remember anything, but if they were experimenting on ME and wanting to WIN the war then they need to be stopped." Eve declared her voice getting more firey by the second, her eyes were electric blue when she started, then it rapidly turned a reddish orange.
She took a moment to take a breath to calm down, "I didn't ask for this, but I have to make the best out of what has happened to me. That's the only choice I have now." She declared.

"Well then," Sparta seemed unphased by the light zap she received and stepped up beside Eve, "I'll accompany you." Offering the woman a smile, she winked before twisting her attention up to the scientists before them. "Thanks for you help," a bag of coins was tossed their way. "I hope this will keep your lips sealed about this." A bitter look on her face, she snorted before turning to Eve again. "Let's get you out of here. We need to find a more private place that's free of ears and potential Hyperion supporters."
Moving toward the door, the woman turned to see Quincy and Tannis again. "And thanks again, you two. At least we know what we're up against. And what we need to stop." The Siren stepped outside, but her senses didn't alert her to the danger she just walked into. A gun cocked. Make that twenty.
Twenty men, clad in Hyperion gear, had their weapons trained on Sparta and Eve. Quincy and Tannis, them bastards, fled out the back, leaving the two women alone to these men. Was it a trap? No, they didn't know what they were getting into until it was too late. Sparta's purple orbs danced around the faces before her. There, her brow furrowed, that face. She saw that man when she entered. Clearly he knew who Eve was and called for the others.
"Shit," Sparta couldn't move without being filled with holes. And Eve? For as powerful as she was, the woman wouldn't be able to do much without killing Sparta in the process. She was literally trapped. Trapped and about to face execution.
And then it hit her. Phasecontrol. "I am so sorry," she choked before turning her powers on Eve. "But I need to use you to get us out of here!" It would be a short control, but it would give her the firepower she needed. Forcing herself into Eve's mind, Sparta's body when numb and she dropped to the ground. In Eve's mind, Sparta spoke. "Okay chicky, let's create a wall of fire to slow them. From there, we're going to need to spit some acid and retreat into the house. Think you can manage?"
If this plan worked, and she could control Eve into following her plan, they might just make it out of this alive. Of course, that was a huge if. Not to mention, they would still be trapped in the house, but at least they could kick out some windows and run for a car while the soldiers were busy writhing in acid and fire, right?

When Eve heard all of the gun cocks, she knew immediately that they were all shotguns, Hyperion wasn't messing around- but neither was she. She had just felt the intrusion of her mind by Sparta, it was painful, but brief.
Wall of fire? Eve smirked, I think I can handle that. Spitting Acid? That might be a little bit of a challenge, and a little un-ladylike, but now is not the time for manners.
Eve did her best to breathe and spit acid, but behind a wall of fire, she created a flame-thrower, from her mouth, but with acid instead.
After she and Sparta retreated back into the house she looked at Sparta with a wide grin, "Better than spitting acid, eh?" Her eyes were the color of Acid, but with the intensity of fire.

To state that Sparta was impressed was the understatement of the century. Grin as wide as the Nile, the purple eyed woman gave Eve a firm pat on the back. "That'll do, Eve!" Hand wrapping around the woman's torso, she jerked her into the house and up a set of stairs. They needed to get to the roof and, with any luck, roof hop to safety. It was a wild idea and a rather risky plan, but at least it wouldn't end with them dying, or so she hoped.
As the stairs groaned beneath their quick footed steps, the two eventually reached the roof exit. Thrusting her shoulders into it, the wooden latch snapped and gave way to the gray sky above.
The second her boots collided with the tin roof, she shot Eve a look. "Sorry, babe," she said while scooping low and tucking the woman over her shoulders. "We still don't know your limits, so you'll just have to trust me for a bit."
Peddling backwards, the woman closed her eyes before snorting. Eyes open, she bolted forward. The second her boots hit the edge of the roof, she kicked off and into the air.
So they were far from graceful, but it gave them the edge they needed. Rolling with a thud onto the nearby roof, Sparta brought a hand to her lips to clear away the blood that came with a sore lip. Hand sprawled out on the roof, she looked down to see the soldiers shifting their gaze from the acid wall to their rooftop perch.
"That's what you get for messing with a woman," she boomed from on high. Contorting backwards, she snagged Eve' shirt and helped the woman back to her feet. "Keep running across the roofs until we get to the gate. Once at the gate, I'll rig a ride to blow and we'll steal one for ourselves."
Bullets whizzed past their ears, but that didn't slow Sparta. Keeping on Eve's heels, the pair finally came to the roof's end. "Jump," she instructed while gliding into the air past the woman. As she fell, Sparta reoriented herself and landed gracefully on her toes. Hands up and outstretched, she waited to catch her jumping friend. "Co--"
Her body was slammed into a wall. Head now bleeding, Sparta grit her teeth, but not before shouting up to her friend. "Stay there, Eve! They can't get to-- oooomph!" Her chest received a blow. Two men, clad in suits marched toward her.
"What, you think you need a heavy to take me out! COME AT ME, BRO!" Spitting in their faces, Sparta glared down her enemy. No matter what they did, she wouldn't flinch. She needed to be strong. She had to be strong. She had to do it for Eve.
"COME ONNNNNN!" she howled as a gun raised to her head. Her vengeful fury in full blaze, the woman cast her final gaze up at Eve. "AHHHHHHHHHH!"
And then time stopped. It all slowed. There was silence before a plume of black and red smoke bellowed into the air. Then came the KA-BOOM, the sound of bombs falling.
Kicked backwards, Sparta's eyes instantly flickered up to Eve. Was she okay? As she began to rise, something from beyond the fading wall of smoke appeared. From that explosive pulse he emerged.
"You fellas meet the missus?"
Rolling out a sentry turret, a man clad in army gear stepped onto the field. Tossing out his gun, he worked alongside the turret. Hyperion soldier after soldier, the man knocked them all down. In her state of awe, Sparta just sat there, not even realizing what was happening around her. Hyperion soldier after soldier kissed the earth as their souls were ripped away.
Finally, another boom echoed around them before the calm came. The finally shells of used bullets clattered to the ground and then the man, the man with the explosive sentry, stepped forward.
"I'm not going to say you owe me, but I'm implying it." Kicking his head back, as if to shift his hair, the man reached out a hand to pull Sparta to his feet. "Commando Axton at your service." Chest out and standing tall, Axton's eyes filtered past Sparta and immediately landed on Eve.
"H-how did you find us?" Sparta, now standing and backing up beside Eve, cocked a distrusting gaze at the man.
"Heard over the radio that Hyperion lost their holy weapon. I thought finding such a weapon might aid me in taking out Handsome Jack. And here I am." A grin slid onto his face now.

Eve, at first did not enjoy being on Sparta's shoulders. But she understood. Eve didn't even know her own limits. It was probably safe to say that Sparta was making a wise decision. And Eve trusted her. Sparta had gone this far for a complete stranger, Eve was starting to think that they had some sort of bond.
Which was okay with Eve, she was a girl on Pandora. The possibilities of all that could go wrong... Was overwhelming.
Once Eve was put down, the two girls bounded off the rooftops, and Eve stopped, but Sparta made the mistake of taking a leap before Eve could point out the two Hyperion goons.
When Eve saw what was happening, metal was weak to corrosive... So as she went to jump, she heard Sparta yell and she stopped in her tracks.
Eve's eyes went wide... The man raised the gun to Sparta's head, why wasn't she using her powers? Was she going to wait? How long? Eve bit her bottom lip.
That's when the bombs dropped. Eve was slightly taken back from the explosion, but it was mostly shock and a lot of dirt that covered Eve's face and body.
She coughed slightly from the dust getting in her lungs, then she heard the repeating sounds of a heavy gun, possibly a turret and she heard a man shout.
Eve ducked behind cover, it was now she was wondering why she didn't pick up a gun somewhere. She slightly raised her head over the rooftop and that's when she saw him.
It was a man, brown hair, military looking uniform, one that she had never seen before, working with the turret.
Eve's eyes immediately darted to Sparta, who was sitting there in awe, thankfully, unharmed.
There was a clank, clank, clank, of the turret going back into it's package as the last Hyperion goon hit the dirt.
Eve sighed and continued watching this stranger with slight caution. The man and Sparta exchanged small talk, and the man introduced himself as Axton.
She quirked her eyebrows, and for a moment, she swore, their eyes met.
"Heard over the radio that Hyperion lost their holy weapon. I thought finding such a weapon might aid me in taking out Handsome Jack. And here I am." A grin slid onto his face now.
Eve came off the rooftops, not even bothering to wipe off the dirt from her face, she needed to know what he knew.
She had to know what he knew, in order to trust him.
"What do you know of the weapon?" She asked with a slight gulp.
For a moment, she didn't breath, she heard her heart beat rapidly beating in her eardrums.
She needed to know that he was talking to Hyperion's weapon.

Sparta kept looking at their savior. He was very handsome. Rugged, too. She almost reached a finger out to stroke his chest, but decided against it, especially when she saw Eve just standing there. Poor girl looked rather shaken. As much as Sparta hated to admit it, a lot just went down. And now, in liu of this information, Sparta was learning that Eve was no ordinary experiment. She was the experiment. The one that would change the tides of the war. The one that would bring about the end or, if any luck, the warmth of heaven's love.
Eyes falling back on Axton, Sparta moved without letting her eyes peel from him. Now beside Eve, Sparta lightly dusted the woman off. Bending, she scooped up a gun and propped it in the girl's hands. "Just in case," she whispered.
Meanwhile, Axton was trying to figure out what was going on between the two women. Of course, when Eve finally spoke, Axton responded. Perhaps it was his military training that made him so responsive to comments and questions?
"Not a whole lot. My station was cut. I heard that it was moving out here and that, with proper training, could level life as we know it."
Sparta's judgmental eyes were starting to turn Axton. "Would you rather I kill you?" His eyes locked on the Siren and the two seemed to puff their chests at one another.
"Lift a finger and I'll make sure you never move again," Sparta warned. Her hair was on end, more so now that she was moving to put her body between Axton and Eve. Naturally, this gesture caused Axton to question everything. Why would a Siren protect a mere mortal. The more his mind raced, the sooner he came to a conclusion.
"You," his eyes moved to Eve, "you stole it. Didn't you."
Flinching, Sparta froze. Was her accusing and defending that obvious? With grit teeth, Sparta sneered at the man before them. No matter how handsome he was, she wouldn't give Eve up.
"And you probably ditched it in the desert," he mused before lowering his weapon and turning his back to the women. Pondering his options, Axton turned back around with a proposal. "Seeing as you owe me and you're lacking muscle, why don't I join you. I'll keep the weapon safe and, once you've done what you need to do, you'll let me borrow it to finish off Jack."
\\NOTES: Sparta = bold whereas Axton is underlined.

Axton didn't know a lot about this 'weapon' and to that, Eve sighed. They could either tell him the truth and he not believe her, or she could watch and see his reaction when he did find out.
When Sparta handed her the gun, a small SMG, she nodded and quickly found that it attached to her belt with no holsters, which was rather handy.
Well, regardless of what she said, this Axton character sure was a bit of a jackass! But, to keep the two hot heads from killing each-other she quietly got in the middle, being the peacekeeper was new, "Now, now-" She said in her most soothing voice, "If we're going to play together we at least need to know to be nice."
Eve slightly chuckled, she sounded like she was talking to children. "Besides, we can all learn more about this weapon together..." She looked between Axton and Sparta, however when she looked at Sparta, she gave the woman a small wink.
Sparta knew more than Axton already, just by knowing that Eve was the weapon of mass destruction, but Eve had a feeling Axton was on to something, so Eve anted to find out where this all lead to.
She felt as if she didn't have a choice.
But her eyes did turn a firey red when Axton accused Sparta of stealing the weapon and ditching it in the desert. Her fists curled up in her palms and she felt her blood boil. But she needed to keep cool.
So with some effort, she calmed herself down and looked at the man, "Don't think you're the only one who wants Handsome Jack dead." Then she tried to give a friendly smile, "And hey, at least we both have the same goal."
But she did like the way her powers sounded, enough to level life as we know it, huh? Hmm. This should be fun.
