I've been here going on two days, and I have to tell you something.

I really, really like this forum.

There are genuinely friendly people, I don't get accosted by beggars, nobody's tried to scam or swindle me, the worst attitude I've encountered so far was still better than some of the best on some other sites, and I don't feel like I'm wandering in a desert full of dessicated corpses (though that does have its charms) or trying to get home after school on the Tokyo subway or something (though the idea of that is sometimes appealing to me in my weaker moments).

In short, it's fun, nobody's being mean to me, and people actually care about the rules.

I really, really like it here.

I think what people feel is partly what's not there, the lack of unpleasantness that can be rife on other forums. Don't have much of that nasty about, and it leaves so much more room for the nice to grow. =3

I used to hide in cupboards when I was little, it was my favorite place to be, tucked out of site, eating cake frosting, and pretending to be a little mouse.

And yes, I agree. The nastiness level here is like, nonexistent, at least from what I've seen.

I theorized earlier that this is where all the nice people on the intertubes have been hiding, and that I had finally found it, at long last.

Now my only wish is that I can fit in, and I already sort of feel like I do. It helps that everyone makes it so easy though.

If you don't see nastiness... you clearly haven't seen the fangirls fighting over the NPCs...

I just went and played it a bit ago, and it's more fun than I'd expected.

I guess I'm not a newbie anymore, I've changed clothes 50 times, I have friends, and I've received no chiding smack on the bottom in the form of a PM asking me to re-read the rules...

That last bit is almost disappointing, but only for personal reasons, which probably need the help of a psychiatrist.

In short, I am settled in and still like the place.

This thread has served its purpose, and along the way I've become a naturalised citizen.

Oh dear, now Vera is beckoning to my dark side and tempting me to wake up my very old 1 point infraction for being lame It's been 6 years since I gave that out.

LOL, on a forum I helped with a long time ago, I helped make some of the infraction titles up...

I think one of them was "i has a corm".

Place didn't last long, as we were sort of immature at the time...

It was the sort of place where what time of the month it was could determine if a member got banned or not...

Not like I ever expected it to turn into anything like this place, and it sure didn't... XD
