Samantha was working hard on a case for her boss and knew it was late. Normally she didn't stay this late after work but she knew how distracted her boss had been. Samantha had a secret that she wasn't sure how many here at work knew. She was a Grimm but wasn't one who used her abilities , since her uncle had wanted her to be safe. She knew there were a few Weson that worked here at this office tried her best not to notice when they sometimes shifted to thier Weson forms.

Seeing it was late Samantha gathered the law books at her desk and headed to the law library seeing that a few of her co workers were here and that her boss was still in his office.

Michael looked up as the young woman entered the room, watching her carefully. He'd found out a month ago, that the beautiful girl was more that she seemed, a grimm. He'd seen a few of his fellow Weson shift, and that eternal darkness in her eyes. She was peaceful as far as he knew though. The girl had been calm, and acted though she was nothing more than human. Yet the Pflichttreue kept up his guard. He moved back to the desk near the environmental claims section loath to have Samantha near him. He settled in ignoring the discomfort and focusing on the book in front of him.

Samantha put the book on privacy laws back and did the same with the environmental law books. She knew this case was going to be a difficult one since her boss was defending a man who had been spying on some construction companies. Hearing loud voices in the distance she grabbed a book and headed to a table in the room. She was glad Michael Mao was near by , even though she felt he disliked her.

Samantha heard her boss yelling at a man nearby and was tense. She couldn't see the other man's face but heard some of the conversation. " I don't like this. If I move from here that other man will see me. If I stay I might be in danger. " She thought knowing now wasn't the time to use her training.

Michael heard the voice of rage coming from the boss' office and immediately ducked down a bit in his chair. Something was far from alright. The stench of anger permeated the room, tinted with the smell of rotten meat. He gruffed under his throat and watched worried. His boss was homan as fas are he knew, but whoever, whatever was in there with him was not. He moved away from the table and wode slipping into the darkness of the shelves. He used the cover to move on top of a stack staying still.

Samantha silently went to the shadows and heard a loud crash. She kept out of sight seeing a tall man running out of the office. She had a bad feeling he knew she was there but kept quiet. Samantha could smell the foulness of this man and wondered if he was a human or a Weson. " Doors don't bust open like that. " She thought and felt dizzy at the strong smell of blood. Samantha wanted to scream in terror but didn't want to alert her presance, even though she knew the killer had seen her.

He wasn't expecting two witnesses to this crime. Though in his mind it was justified to eliminate a man who hid his true self. He knew one of the witnesses was a Grimm and another was a Weson , but it was one he wasn't familiar with. He would come here later to make sure neither of them talked.
