Bio: Athena has been able to use shadows since she was born which really freaked out her parents. Her parents abandoned her when she was and she went from one foster homes to another. She ran away from the system when she was 16 the year the circus de freak come into town. She is know a part of the circus which she doesn't mind since they seem to understand her.

Bio: Erik was born to a mother who had no idea she was carrying a demon baby. Even when he got older he somehow managed to hide his demon nature from the world till he turned sixteen when the craving become to much and he attacked his own mother. Thankfully he managed to erase her memory but he fled fearing what he had become. For a year he wondered the world slowly learning how to control his demon finally with no money and no place to live he found the circus which welcomed him with open arms.

Bio: Rae as many know her or fox was raised by normal human parents. Though by the age of four it was apparent she was very different. The young girl had the ability to heal anything with a simple touch. She also had a ability to connect with any spirits around and summon them to her. Her parents and village where slathered in hopes of getting her as a jewel for the king. She lost her eye sight that night trying to fight to save her loved ones. She was unable to save them but she has spent her life trying to save any she can and learning to become stronger. She was found by the Ring master and has been raised as his own daughter. Though she may not see in colors like normal people she can still see the spirit or life force of everything.

Bio: Lex lost all his memories of his past a long time ago. He was found near a river growing plants and living happily with nature. He was responsible for beautifying graves of forgotten souls. A group of monks took him at the age of seven to protect him from the outside world. He stayed there for many years till the monks say that he needed to learn about the new world. He had rambled for several months and was found by the circus. Since that day he has been there finding a home finally that he can call his home.

Athena sighed as played with the shadow cat she had created jumping when a hand come down on her shoulder. " Sorry." A familier voice said she looked up to see Erik. "What do you want?" Athena asked frowning at him. "The shows going to start soon." Erik said "Cute cat." he noticed the shadow cat who was staring at him. "I'll be there soon." Athena said focusing on her cat Erik frowned but walked away.

Rae stood in the middle of the rings as she used her powers to help get the big tent ready. She smiled as heard the ring master coming. She waited till he had approached her and bid him good morning. She smiled as she could see the customers starting to come into the tent. She herself was given orders to stay out of sight. It was for hew own protection she knew. And the fact what could she do but magic there is always a human doing it. She obeyed reluctantly hiding in the shadows far from the eyes of the human customers.

Lex softly moved as he walked. No sound could really be heard from him as he walked. He looked up in time to see Erik and Athena. He smiled as he pulled out a black rose for Athena. He gently placed it before her giving her a bow. He then gave Erik a bow. He slowly rose his head turning as he paused looking at the large tent. He had mixed feelings about it. Just as he did about himself. Though he turned and looked over his shoulder at Athena a slight smile appearing on his lips for once. He turned as he began to head into the tent the show was about to start.

Athena blushed softly at the black rose. "He's so weird sometimes." she sighed losing her concentration causing the shadow cat to vanish. She stood with Erik help and head for the tent thinking about why Lex would give her the flower. Erik shook his head Lex was a gentleman to the core they both were really but he seemed to be more use to it. He spotted Rae and joined her "You ready for the show?" Erik grinned.

Rae jumped hearing a familiar voice. She turned and saw Erik as she held on hand over her chest. "You really should learn to be a little louder around here. If you do that to the wrong person you'll end up hurt." She said as she smiled softly. She imagined that Erick was a handsome fellow. The spirit and reality where different. She could see his spirit not really physical appearance."I am always ready for the shows....I just hope we bring in enough money and the Ring master doesn't get stupid again." She said as she turned back to the ring as she worried about the ring master. "I wish I could be out there with you and the others. It would be fun for once to be in the spot light and not in the shadows. " She said turning back to Erik. "I hope that you do a marvelous job. I will be rooting for you and the others. You better get the show started or the Ring master will get a little cross with you. And please be careful I really rather not have to make house visit to heal wounds." She said in a playing manner to him.

Lex slowly made his way into the big tent. He was surprised to see how many people where there. He slowly made his way near the back corner near Erik and Rae. He kept to himself as he stood there Waiting to see what the Ring Master was going to do. He wondered if he would go first or what the order was for tonight.

"Hey I'm always careful." Erik grinned "I promise nothing will happen to me or anyone else." he glanced at Lex. " I'm sure Lex will save me." he turned his attention to the center ring curious.

Athena lunged in her own corner watching the crowd instead of the ringmaster she saw some familier faces as well as a bunch of new faces. She grinned new comers were the funniest to watch. There faces were priceless when they got scared especially the ones that left after a good scare to change there pants.

Rae smiled at Erick. Her smiled faded though as her attention faded to the ring master. Something was terribly wrong. She watched as she saw it happen. What she had feared. She hung her head as the ring master collapsed vanishing in a cloud of dust. She looked at the crowed as she saw they where confused. She looked to Erick and the others what where they going to do. She gathered her courage and headed to the middle of the ring as she gave a bow. A slight smile graced her face as a yellow light filled the tent. When it faded another girl appeared.


The girl open her eyes as she smiled her blue eyes enchanting as she shook her long blue hair introducing herself. "Welcome young and old to the strangest show on Earth! I am Fox and I will be your Ring Master tonight! Who is ready to start the show?" She said in a hypnotizing voice that made the audience scream with excitement. The woman laughed grinning wildly as she turned looking at the others. "Well you heard them lets get this started!" She said as she signaled at to the first act to begin. She leaped in the air vanishing in a cloud of blue smoke. The audience was now totally engaged in the performance.

Lex froze as he watched the Ringmaster. It didn't take a genus to know that the jumper had grabbed the ringmaster before he feel to the ground. He looked to where Rae was hiding. This was her once chance she had been practicing. He watched and smiled as he saw her go for it. He couldn't help but smile she had worked hard on learning to transform. He made his way to where he knew she would vanish back to. He smiled as he gently stood just beside her. If she was willing to join the show he was willing to do one with her.

Athena detached herself from the shadows and joined them. "He's not alright is he?" she asked in her quiet voice. She glanced at the ring master then at Rae "I'll go on next." she said hurrying to take her place before the first act was finished.

Erik watched Athena go "This sucks." he sighed the ringmaster had been the one to bring them together and ensure they could stay together and not be hunted for there skills.

Rae kept quite as she tried to stay calm. She was worried about the ring master. He was dying she had seen it. His life force was leaving his body. What would happen to them now. Her eyes shifted to Lex as she smiled seeing him. He was one of the few people here that treated her like a person. She watched Athena with awe. The girl was very gifted with shadows. It must be nice to preform. She smiled as she watched Athena.

Lex smiled as he softly placed his left hand on Rae's left shoulder. He could read the girl behind the mask she was crying as everyone would be soon. It was true the master was dying. He hung his head giving the master a moment of silence out of respect. He slowly open his eyes as he watched Athena. He held out his hand as black petals began to fall from the ceiling looking as if they came from thin air about Athena and her performance. He hopped to just add a bit of awe to her performance though in all honestly she didn't need it she was amazing on her own.

Athena enjoyed her shadow's making cat's and dog's as well as bigger things like elephants which normally lead to the reveal a real elephant for the next act. She would normally make the shape of the next act making the people things her shadows where real. She briefly lost her concentration when she saw the flowers making her cat briefly lose its shape with a frown she focused again continuing her show.

Erik smiled as he watched Athena her shadows become more amazing the more she practiced he glanced at Lex when he noticed the flowers. He raised his eyebrow slightly but didn't say anything leaving Lex to do what he wanted.

Fox stared at Athena she looked at Lex as she hung her head. "You'll never win her heart that way stop it please." She said softly as she leaped out in of the shadows appearing in a cloud of blue smoke along with the elephant riders. "Lets hear it for the Amazing mysterious Athena!" She said as the crowed went wiled over Athena's performance. She turned as she stood in the middle of the ring as the elephant riders made a circle around her doing many tricks with the elephants. The crowed went wild over them. Fox enjoyed watching till she found herself being lifted high in the air as part of the grand finally. She laughed and grinned as they all vanished once again in a cloud of blue smoke. As the smoke faded white flower petals began to fall introducing Lex. Fox watched as she fell to the ground beside the elephant riders behind the tent. Tears fell down her checks as she transformed back into Rae. She weeped and cried as she felt her beloved master fade. She was right and for once she wished she wasn't the one man who had been her best friend and father of shorts was gone. He slipped away to a place much better but he left them alone with one one to protect and guide them. She sat on the ground as she heard Lax making tears stream down her face. She could tell it was a song about the master. Now he was gone and now she was alone again. They where all alone.

Lex felt his heart grow cold as he watched Athena's reaction. He closed his eyes as he closed his eyes. He made his way into the middle of the strange. He moved slowly and with ease like the wind as the petals danced about him. The petals changed colors as a store began to unfold from them. Lex stood in the middle now as his eyes still closed as he began to sing. As he did so the petals formed the stories. This time he told the story of the Ring master. A baby formed with black hair. A strange pair of parents took the baby. The story went through out the childs life as the child grew. It showed how the child became the ring master and all the people that where close to the ring master. Every person in the circus and how they met the ringmaster was shown. He vanished in the petals as the song ended a tribute to the man who had saved many lives and gave them a home where they where safe. He felt the circus grow cold as he felt the master leave this plane of existed. He stood in the dark corner as he mourned in his own way.

Athena stood with Erik and held his hand as they watched Lex sing feeling her heart twist at the loss of the ringmaster who was to most of them a father. She rubbed her eyes trying to keep from crying and losing control of her powers.

Erik squeezed her hand tightly feeling like she did sad but they still had each other and would figure out what to do.

The show ended after what felt like forever. Rae managed to transformed into Fox once again and finish the show. Though as the curtain of the big tent finally closed the mood of the circus went gray. Rae returned to her normal form as she walked through the middle of the ring. She felt empty as she moved slowly heading to the Master's tent. She slowly made her way to where the body laid. There was nothing left of him. His beautiful light was gone he was black and she couldn't see him anymore just a void where light should have been. She stood there in silence as she heard the sound of rain. Even the weather matched the mood of everyone here. She turned and left the tent after she said her goodbyes. She slowly made her way to the river. She fell to her knees as she sat there the rain pouring around her as they matched the tears that streamed from under her bandage around her eyes. What would she do now. Where would she go. She had no home no place to go. The only person she had was Lex and now he would leave she was for sure.

Lex said nothing as he stared out of the tent at the rain. He didn't know what to say or how to feel he just stared. He hung his head as he saw Rae walk passed. He knew she would be gone soon. She wouldn't be safe none of them would. The master had protected them. But he had made a promise to stay with the other and keep them together. The master had made him promise.

Leaving Erik to help clean up Athena went looking for Rae finding her in the rain she fashioned a umbrella out of shadow and held it over her head " You'll catch a cold like that Rae-chan." the umbrella actually worked it was one of the few things she could make solid.

Rae froze as she heard the sweet voice recognizing it. "Athena-Chan" She said sweetly as she slowly hung her head. "What will we do without master? I warned him not to do it he was weak and his energy was leaking out. Why can't I have a power worth using. I can see spirits interact with them heal and use magic but I couldn't save the one person who meant the world to us. Athena -Chan. You where beautiful as always." She said as she slowly whipped the tears from her face. She slowly stood a head shorter than Athena as she gave a small smile. "Thank you Athena-Chan. Lets get inside before we both catch a cold. Athena what will we do?" She said as she wondered. "We have no ring master and we will be lost without one. " She said as she looked around as everything seemed dimmer. "I can not see but spirits and auras but everything now here is dim. I wounder where I will go and where the others will go. Many are already making to leave. Are you going to leave me too?" She said softly.

"No I would never leave and I think Erik could be Ringmaster he can use his mind powers and he's great at talking himself out of anything." Athena said "We shouldn't have to leave each other simple because that the old man is dead." she took Rae's hand "I will never let are family have to split up."

Rae kept quite as she held Athena's hand. The others wouldn't follow Erik. He was to quite and he wouldn't go over well. But she could be wrong. It didn't matter auditions would start soon. She had a secret intention to try out herself. Not many knew Fox was her. Why not give it a shot. She had worked hard to master her transformation. Everyone tonight seemed to like her altered self. Athena was right none of them should just leave their family due to a death. She smiled as she heard Athena.

Athena smiled back glad to see she had cheered Rae up she was like a older sister to her minus the fighting of course. "Do you think Lex will stay know that the ringmaster is gone?" he was the only one she wasn't sure about Erik would stay she was sure of it.

Rae thought about what Athena asked. "I do not know. You know maybe you should ask him." She said finally after some time. "The only other person he would stay for would be you other than me." She said as she smiled up at the girl. She was never sure about Lex nor Athena. "What is your relationship with Erik?" She said finally after some years of wondering. She wasn't sure if they where lovers or just close friends. She was never quite sure with Erik he really confused her.


Lex turned as he looked at the center of the ring. He closed his eyes as he slowly took a seat on one of the first benches. He just smiled as he found a bottle of run in his pocket. He slowly open it as he began to drink slowly. He wasn't normally for drinking but he didn't figure toasting a man's life was against any rules. Once he had his toast he put the bottle down and let the others who had came in take it and do as they wish. This was going to be some hard times. He wondered where Rae was. Of anyone she would be the hardiest hit.

"Were friends he seems to understand me." Athena said with a grin "You can have him if you want...Do you really think Lex will listen to me?" she frowned slightly "Why would he do that?"

Rae blushed slightly as she heard Athena. She shivered slightly at the cold. She slowly moved with her. "Lex would lessen to anything you had to say. You should know he is rather found of you." She said meaning it as she thought of Lex. "What do we do now? " She said wondering where they to spend the night up and morning or berry the man and be done with it. The ringmaster was no longer there he was gone. There was nothing but a shell left. "It's ok I think Erik is to much into taking care of you. We better get you back to him before he start worrying to much." She said after some thought.

"Please Erik doesn't take care of me he just likes to keep me company ." Athena said with a snort "He likes you too." she said as an after thought. "Honestly I don't know what we should do i mean he does need to be buried but do we do it know or in the morning is a whole diffrent animal." she sighed "i'm going to go find Lex and talk him into staying if that doesn't work I'll beat him up." she at her grinned before heading off.

Rae just stood there as she felt conflicted again. She hung her head as she mad her way to the ringmasters tent. She sat on the stool that he once used in the show. By now he was covered and some of the others had said their goodbye's making a shire to him. Rae closed her eyes as everything became bitch black as she sat there. The ringmaster had no family except one daughter who was in so much trouble it wasn't funny the girl could never pay for a proper funeral. She let out a sigh as she left the tent making up her mind what to do. She walked to her tent and pulled out her purse making it disappear in thin air as she picked up her umbrella. She didn't say a word to anyone as she left the camp heading for the local city. She wore a long black trench coat that covered her up nicely as well as a top hat. She slowly made her way into the city. She used her other sight to lead her to the local funeral home. Once inside she quickly found the head of the building and handled the business at hand. She had her papers and her proof that she had did everything correctly. Once she was done she thanked the man and left leaving him a rather nice tip for his services. Before she left the town she made one stop to the post office and sent off a letter for the ring masters daughter. The girl deserved to know everything that had happen and would happen.
Once she was done there she left the city stopping for a bite to eat at one of the local hole in the wall shops on the way to the circus. The people here where very friendly and often catered to the circus foke. She ordered some food and sat there and waited. She gently removed the coat and the hat just enjoying the music and the smells finding something positive for once that day.

Athena went searching for Lex which was harder then she thought it would be. After a while she finally found him "Lex-nii-chan there you are I've been looking everywhere for you."
